Go through the lyrics. References to Brave New World and Black Mirror in the chorus. Major criticism of how people act on social media vs real life. Emppu clicked wrong thing and everyone attacked him for wrong thought.
And then Kai isn't going to help Emppu. It's more important for him to film himself and look cool, when other guys are kicking another one behind him.
I think they mean phones when she sings about worshipping a "black mirror".

Tuomas knew what her capabilities were (which was what Anette was actually afraid of when she heard who they wanted to cover for her when she was sick during the Imaginaerum tour), and wanted to not just challenge her to use other aspects of her voice on EFMB, but also to not just blow everything out of the water on her first album with them, so that the next album could showcase her vocal abilities even more.
Several sources online confirm Tuomas' intentions, but when I spoke to Floor and Tuomas at a meet & greet, they both said the same thing.

I've been watching reactions to this video for a while now. And it's always funny to see people's facial expressions change when Jessica comes to the screen:)

Lots of fake information, fake news and political stories that sound great, but that are factually not true. It is about how this noise of misinformation controls our minds. It’s about how we as a society are not capable anymore to distinguish the truth from the lies.

I love it when musicians decide to write a dagger to society! Everyone with some common sense knows that the nowadays society is only to feed the ego, where sex is for sale, children are forced to do stuff because their parents want them to like those 'miss beauty' girls of 7 or 8 years old. You'll hardly find one child who doesn't hate it, but their parents force them to do so because it makes them feel good knowing that their kid is a "beauty". Most of us know this can't be and isn't right, but we cannot do much about it since we're unable to reach large amounts of people within a short enough period.

Yes, it's awessome :) But do go read the lyrics and re-watch it ;) My takeaways are quit being fake like the posing environmentalist who bathes in oil in private (Tuomas), be tolerant of others unlike those who beat up those who are different (Emppu), help those in need unlike those who use the fight as another selfie occasion (Kai), be king of a throne other than a toilet (Troy), don't count on recreational chemistry or fad diets for happiness (Marko), and pay attention to your children, bond with them, but give them the space and freedom they need to grow (Floor). Also, don't overdose on the digital like an alcoholic with wine so that you don't come to the end of your life only to find you've neglected to live. It all fits in with the previous studio album. Shudder Before the Beautiful, appreciate your family and your Decades in the Sun, enjoy the Endless Forms Most Beautiful, build your Walden, taste the wine and travel with great Elan, and when it's your time to become one with Alpenglow, revel in having won the lottery of birth against all odds to be a part of the Greatest Show on Earth! I love how they first show the perfect picture of everyone like they show it to the world on social media. And then you see the dirty truth. Love it!
Another great reaction! Now I`m even more hyped for this album. This is actually Floor`s second NW album. Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015) was her first. Most of the songs from the Tampere show were from that album. Greatest Show on Earth, Weak Fantasy, Yours is an Empty Hope, etc. FIVE YEARS since we had songs written for Floor, but so many live shows so I guess its ok.

My take is this:
If you have to talk about the meaning behind the song, you missed the point.
Be the change you want to see in the world, instead of letting the Powers-That-Be distract you from what is going on in the world -- from both the ills of society, and the majestic beauty of what the world really is. Unplug and decompress, instead of letting tech control you. Technology is merely a tool -- how you use it is up to each of us. As for me, I choose to use it and attempt to make a difference, rather than going along with society like a lemur.

Yeah, the strings. It's there in the intro, and interludes, and outro. But just a part of it - they can't copy a whole pattern, phrase. So it's an adaptation.

I am not a TRVE KULT fan because after Wishmaster I did not listen to them that often. I was not present at the moment of the breakup! I am and still much more into other genres of metal. But I came back. If I want to listen to boss music I will chose Vektor.

This is in fact a criticism of the worst parts of social media and a warning on a dystopian society where these behaviours become norm, where we can't find truth and beauty amidst the noise, and focus on the really important stuff, all the good stuff that might come from the technology.
It is inspired in Black Mirror, the series, has some references to it in the video and lyrics.
Here's my take:
Emppu fell victim of social media's comment sections. Cyberbullying, cancel culture. You are different or think differently, you say something wrong, you are marked as an outsider, and attacked by the mob of virtual righteousness.
Tuomas was the fake green activist, that flaunts himself an example and so loving of nature to social media, a form of virtue signalling to get attention and admiration, but in reality he actually doesn't really care about DOING something. He's ok still bathing in oil (using non-eco friendly products) as long as he's seen as "green" through the cellphone filter. Also he's ok changing views with the flow. If people start liking nuclear he'll support it to get more likes. That's the hypocrisy polluting social media. People are more worried with their social media persona and how they are perceived by others than to be themselves and having opinions based on facts instead on popularity. Interestingly someone pointed out his headbanging was almost like those old oil diggers, like there were two going up and down - showing he still feeds the need for oil based products, and consequently the oil industry (in the background).
Floor is using the child in her own pursuit of attention and celebrity in the virtual world, making it look they are a happy family, a loving family with that, but in reality she is trapping the child in her own selfish and projected goals, her own need for attention, validation as a "good mother", not caring for the real needs and wants of the child. Sadly, she's also abandoning good old kid play (the abandoned carousel in the background) and teaching her the path for love comes through acceptance from others, specifically in social media. So the image they give the world is fake.
Marko represents the glamour promised by useless supplements that appear from all sides in the internet, but he also represents those that fell for the scheme and the pills give him nothing but troubles, depression, possibly financial ruin, in case you're also a seller. That's why I also think this is a jab at MLMs where people ruin themselves joining companies of useless supplements where you have to buy them but usually can't sell them fast enough.
The blonde (an internet model) represents the pursuit for beauty and youth, setting unnatural standards of beauty and the pursuit of attention and approval from internet strangers, doing EVERYTHING to get it. But in reality the work and sacrifices it demands... It seems real, but it isn't. Also read someone say she is the sexualised red riding hood, representing loss of innocence.
The king represents the powers, the rich, the high influencers (the politicians under influence of the oil barons? Cranes on the head...), that crap on democracy, control it, and their throne is actually a toilet, as their opinion is sh%t (at least that's how I see it).
They all represent vanity, the driving force to so much going on on social media, and the fact that there's so much that is fake but it's still perceived as real by people. We live our lives in a virtual world where nothing is as it appears on our black mirrors (phones), reality is obscure to us, both because it is hidden from us, and because we deny ourselves the opportunities to see it and all the beauty around us, deciding instead to drown in the worthless, unrealistic, overwhelming, confusing, repetitive, endless noise of the virtual world.
We get plugged into this world from day one, and can't leave it, and all that time the real world is still out there, waiting for us to unplug from the machine before it's too late.

Not sure if it was said in the... 217 comments as of this viewing... but at the beginning of the video you said this was the first studio album with Floor. Just so you know, Endless Forms Most Beautiful (their last album) was Floor's first studio album. She joined for the tour in 2012 and officially in 2013, where Endless Forms Most Beautiful was written afterwards and released in 2015. You'll notice (as you said, Tuomas is good at writing for the style of the vocalist) that there were significant style changes for that album from the prior. There's no Way Annette could have pulled off Shudder Before the Beautiful, Weak Fantasy, Yours is an Empty Hope, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, the Greatest Show on Earth, etc...

I like you reactions very much, they are intense and funny, but this time, its perhaps the first time i didnt liked it. The song is great, but whats more special in this song is the message that NW is trying to send, not only with this single, but the album.
