- Can't believe we're wrapping up 2023 in just over a week... thought it would be fun to reflect on this past year (while I FINALLY actually decorate my christmas tree hahaha). Lots of changes this year but I truly believe it was one of the best years yet 🥹

Tara, I am probably one of your oldest subscribers at 65 years old. However, that doesn't mean I can't relate! This year started for me with a new job, a huge change as I have been a teacher for 42 years. I am now a science technician and I love it ! My health has not been the best this year but I will not let that slow me down. I visited my daughter , son in law and grandson in London which was amazing. We went to the Science museum, the Natural history museum, rode the water taxi to the Tower of London where we saw the Crown jewels and saw where Anne Boleyn ( amongst many others) was executed ( I said a prayer for her soul and I am not religious, it just seemed right). We went for a meal in Soho and lots of other things before I saw platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station on the way home. The only really bad thing about this year was that my dad passed away at the age of 91. Like you I loved spending time with him, some of my fondest memories are the times we did things together. I was a real Daddy's girl. I miss him. Since then, I have found out I am going to be a great grandmother in January, a scary thought as my eldest granddaughter is 25, the pregnant one is 21 and my grandson is 3! Life is there to be lived, we only get one shot at it, make the most of every minute. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year xx

62 yo also here lol. This time last year I lost my hubby (together 43 yrs) followed by my 95yo healthy Mom, so I can relate to life being a rollercoaster. I’m not just ‘fine’, I am ok and have a positive outlook about the future. This is all the blessing of a deep Faith. For anyone - of any age- struggling with life, find support… through the years Tara has spoken of mental & emotional health being important. It’s never too late and we’re never too old to accept help, face challenges and thrive. Merry Christmas, happy & healthy new year🎉
2023 was the worst year of my life. I'm just hoping 2024 will be better because I don't know if I can stand anymore crap! Thanks for helping me keep my sanity through a very difficult year.

I am 56 and 2023 was not the greatest year. In August 2022, I had a heart attack, and 2023 has been filled with so much anxiety. I am learning to cope with it all. Life is good and I am convincing myself that I am fine. I love watching your channel and your youthful personality. Never take one single second for granted. Go on dates, read books, drink coffee, travel all you can (but please be safe,) and spend every precious second with your family.

2023 was definitely a year of growth for me too.
It started out just normal as every year seemed to be in the past.
But in early May, my life was changed. My husband and I got into a life threatening car accident that sent both of us to the hospital. It turned out that I fractured my L5 vertebrae and was not able to walk for all of May due to the injury. It was right after my husband and my first year of marriage came along. It caused a lot of struggles with so many things. But what was amazing is my husband, friends and family helped out so much and I finally started slowly progressing and walking more through April and throughout the rest of the year with Physical Therapy.
We ended up moving, going to Hawaii, getting a nice car and now we both have our dream jobs. That car accident was something that changed my life for the better. It made us wake up and realize that life is short so we need to live it!
So thankful for your videos that got me through such a hard time in my life🤍
For me 2023 was such a year of positivity. To start with 2022 was a disaster… I lost my job, I was insecure, I blamed myself for everything wrong. By December, I knew I needed something better for myself so I can be better for my family. My husband has been the most supportive of me. I vowed 2023 would be be my year of positivity. No more negative self talk, more encouragement, work on healthier habits, etc. When I saw your January vlog when you talk about your own insecurities and neg self talk, I knew I wasn’t alone. By June I found journaling to be the best therapy. As time progressed, my self confidence improved, my home was getting cleaner. And by October I stepped out of my comfort zone and blogged a full series on my channel, going from 30 subs to over 100 by the middle of December. Influencers and content creators like you inspire me. You give off such encouraging vibes. That’s why we all love you so much. So, thank you, Tara, for allowing us to share in that positive journey with you. ❤ ✌️
My top moment was finding out I was Cancer Free. I didn't get to travel this year like I wanted, but finding out you no longer have cancer anywhere in your body is something to be so thankful for!! It definitely gave me a different perspective on life. Have a Merry Christmas Tara!!
2023 was the best year of my life yet 🥰. I had my baby girl and although motherhood is very difficult, it’s also super satisfying work. I am happy 🥰
Even though 2023 was the most tragic year from me, I can still end this comment on a positive note :) I experienced my first car crash at the beginning of January and I still tense up when I see a car coming up behind me. And then just 3 weeks later my mom passed away. Both were shocks to my system and I miss my mom desperately everyday. What I can say is that despite these tragedies, I've learned that my sense of joy, peace, love and ability to laugh is absolutely steadfast. It made me realise how important my mental health is and how lucky I am that I still have a happy heart. I cry about mom pretty much every other day and it feels like living in an alternate universe without her, but being happy and free and peaceful and mentally healthy is so important and I'm so thankful I have that choice and ability. So, here's to a much happier 2024 and I wish you all a Happy Holidays!!
Oof 2023 was a doozy and a blur. Like you, my life fundamentally changed this year. We learned that my baby has a chronic condition that will likely continue throughout her life (it’s currently managed with medication and she’s ok, doing really well actually). I can’t say that life is better or worse now, it’s just different, totally changed. New perspective. New threshold for dealing with hard things. New assertiveness in getting what I know is best for my kids. I used to be non-confrontational at all times, never ruffle any feathers, now I will go to the ends of the earth to get the answers I want or need. So in a way, new confidence and strength. Also went back to work, have learned to accept help in the form of childcare, and embracing hobbies again mostly through cooking and reading (want to add exercise in 2024). 2023 I think taught me that I can do hard things, that there’s something to learn and grow from in all situations, and to embrace the now - living in all of the “what ifs” and planning into the future aren’t beneficial or relevant to our life now, celebrate the wins we have and keep pushing no matter what.
Now that I’m towards the end of the video & end of the year, I’m sitting in bed with the flu, can’t go see my family, and it’s rounding out how terrible 2023 was for me. But watching this made me so warm & happy for you, and excited to 2024 for myself. Your energy is always motivating but this one just hit me - one year can change everything & I plan on having just that! 🤍
Top moments of 2023 for me are: 1. Beginning therapy and going low contact with my Mom. It was so hard, but so necessary for my mental and emotional health. 2. Gaining a sense of self and reducing my anxiety. 3. Accepting the changes that come with the first 2 big things and really beginning to thrive in the place I am physically, emotionally and spiritually.
2023 was my most transformative year ever. I’m 35 now. Last year I was sick/chronically ill for the 12th year in a row, my cptsd symptoms were the worst they had been, I was depressed. I did ketamine assisted therapy in January as sort of a last resort because I no longer wanted to be here and my family all pitched in and I did that therapy. It literally changed my life. I’m a different person. My health issues are all gone, cptsd symptoms are gone. New job. I started dancing and performing. I performed in 6 burlesque/cabaret shows this year. Next year I already have three scheduled performances. Dance has always been my true love and passion. But being sick for 12 years, I could barely walk. I had a cane last year. I had POTS and fainted all the time. I had tremors and neurological issues indicating multiple sclerosis. I had pre-heart attack arrhythmia. My hips would dislocate.
I’m so beyond grateful for my health, my body, my life, my strength and ability to take back my power and my life.

You are SO radiant and full of joy!! I am so happy that you truly are living your best life, living your youth like you said. I just turned 43, although I don’t feel it…lol, and i wish I had done more in my 20’s and 30’s. You will not live a life of regret whatsoever and that is truly amazing. I don’t think there’s any rush to settle down or have kids bc then i think you miss out on so much more. you go girl!! My top moments of this year was getting a job after being a stay at home mom for 15 years, rekindling my relationship with my husband, it’s been quite rocky for years, and always trying to improve as a better mom, wife and better version of myself. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many, young and old! ❤️ I hope you and your family have an amazing Christmas and New Years! 🥂
Moved from Toronto to New York in 2023! But really just learned to truly enjoy all the little joyful moments of every day life and to take advantage of spontaneous adventures! ❤🎉 very excited for 2024 😍

I loss my dad in 2021 and the past few years has pushed me to take charge. I was able to drive from TN to MI by myself (with my anxiety I never thought that would happen.) I have since made multiple road trips and also got medication to help with my anxiety/panic attacks. I've come so far the past few years and I will just keep pushin myself and not giving up on myself.
I became a mom, November 2022 so 2023 was my year of matrescence. The amount of love that 2023 brought into my life is completely indescribable and now we're ending the year getting to announce baby no2 coming 2024 so truly this past year has been such a dream 😊

It is crazy how time flies. I started watching your videos during the pandemic and here we are. I recalled seeing every memory that you mentioned in the highlights for 2023. I love watching your content while I work and you inspire me to be more productive. Thank you Tara! P.S. I love the bows, my tree also has velvet bows but they are a deep blue. 🤩
2023 was the best and worst year of my life. On one hand I truly LIVED, traveled so much, made so many memories with people I love. I feel like said yes to every opportunity because I also wanted to get out of my comfort zone and I’m SO glad I did. But I also spent the entire year watching my dad battle through brain cancer and he finally lost that battle yesterday. The constant anxiety of every doctor’s appointment, every scan, wondering if this treatment was finally going to work, several ER visits- I will not miss that aspect of 2023 and I’m glad that is now over. I find peace knowing my dad is no longer suffering. I feel 2024 will be a pivotal year for me and the start of my next journey as it seems many other people do. If you’re struggling, if you’re thriving, here’s to our 2024- wishing everyone immense happiness and love 🤍

Thank you for doing this recap! I've watched every single video since about 2020 and as you started the vlog I thought "ugh, not that much has happened in 2023" and then wowwww! So much has happened it's insane. Such a great reminder to take the time to reflect on each month and every change in our own lives as well. 2023 was actually a big year! Got a new dog, reconnected with best friends, visited Maui, England, and Mallorca, set necessary bondaries, made massive choices for health improvement, achieved career milestones, continued remodeling my house, pushed my social bettery as well, and so much more! You inspired me to make a inspo board at the beginning of the year, and it worked! Every image I put on there came to fruition, even if it wasn't in the way I expected. Here's to 2024 🥂

2023 has been wild! I moved to Utah for work, the farthest I’ve ever lived from home. I traveled to southern chile and did a 46 mile hike. I’ve learned so much about myself and what I like/don’t like and spent this year truly soaking up every moment and learning from everything. I also booked my first trip to Asia at the beginning of 2024 and I can’t wait to experience Bali for 3 weeks. Travel is also a huge part of my life and I’m so grateful to fully embrace it while I can! I love seeing all your travel moments from this year- it truly brings so much joy to our lives and I don’t know what id do without it. Cheers to an amazing 2024!

Top moment in 2023 for me was becoming a first time grandparent in April (my birthday month, btw) I don’t think anything else can really top that. Love your videos.
2023 was interesting for me. i quit my nanny job last friday and it was due to boundaries needing to be set for my own sake. A few years ago I wouldn't have done it for myself. I would have pushed through a toxic work relationship, and I am so glad I looked out for myself! Yay growth!
Tara I’m so glad you took my advice and moved back home near your family. You seem so much happier. I told you that I did regret not moving back and I hope that is what made you do it. It’s such a joy for me to see you spending time with your mom and dad. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Thank you for just being you. I feel like we’re close friends. I found your videos in 2020 the start of covid. I struggled with you. And you are just one down to earth and hilarious and humble person. The last 15 months have changed my life forever. I lost my mom in Oct 2022 and it’s been heartbreaking every single day. But you are a huge part of my healing journey. I start my morning with you 3 days out of the week but with instagram it’s every single day. I love you and your family is my favorite part. I’m so proud of you for moving back. I wish I could have made the same decision before I lost my mom
Best moments of 2023 for me were finding out that I was pregnant with our 3rd baby (who is due any day now), wrapped up my first year of teaching and went through the struggle with the start of my 2nd year of teaching (it was a challenge for sure) but made it through the semester and now on winter break/maternity leave! Another best moment was starting the building process on our 2nd home on 10 acres of land and making it our own! It’s been a very blessed year for myself and my family ❤. It was so nice going down your 2023 memory lane Tara!
Started 2023 getting married to my best friend 🥰 Then had my twin girls in June! Going through NICU time and having one of them come home before the other was tough but so grateful for having them and my husband by my side 🩷
2023 for me wasn’t a year of big things. I’ve mostly just been in the pattern of work, reflection, healing and trying to save for travel and other things I’ve been wanting to do. Things have been a bit tough but I have a feeling 2024 will be my year of finally feeling free like this year was for you. I’m almost exactly a year younger than you so I think 28 for me will also be an amazing pivoting year in my life…. At least I really hope so cause I’m tired haha. in the very beginning of 2023 i took a big step for both my mental & physical health & stopped being a 911 operator (that worked 12hr overnights). i started working at a creative university & i love the team i work with and the workplace i’m at & my goal moving forward is working on growth & leadership! so so thankful i made that leap for myself at the beginning of the year.
It is crazy how I remember every single thing that you talked about in this video. I watched every single video posted this year. Never missed one. Thank you for what you do ❤.

I am a 20 something y/o who just feels lost in life and I enjoy feeling connected and part of a community by watching your videos Tara, but despite that my favorite thing about this year was when I started a small business and now I am starting a new career path at the end of December going into the new year. 2023 has been the most emotional year of my life! We lost my beautiful niece to Cancer in March. In September, we lost my dad two days after my birthday. Now it's just us four girls. It has been such an emotional roller-coaster for my family since 2021, but i have been able to get my life back on track, and I am looking forward to 2024! Cherish every day you have with your family and friends! The love of my life ended our long-term relationship this year as well. But despite that, we have been able to remain friends! I will always cherish the memories I had with everyone in my life! Your videos helped me get through so much pain, and I was able to heal and move on with my life! I will never be able to express how grateful I am to have stumbled across your video during the beginning of the pandemic! You are such a blessing to me! ❤❤❤

My Husband and 2 Sons, and our oldest Son’s fiancé.. moved from Los Angeles, The South Bay, to NASHVILLE!!!!! We moved before Christmas and it was awful to spend Christmas without my Dad and Stepmom and all of our dear CA friends… but we all survived! I’m heading back to LA in Feb. working the tax season at my Dad’s firm!! It’s been an exciting and trying year!! Looking forward to the rest of 2024 ❤

2023 was a tough year in relationships (in-laws and family), but I learned SO much and finally stood up for myself and honored my feelings for once (only took 28 years). My top three moments are the Eras Tour, seeing The 1975 (the tumblr girlies get it), and all the fun activities my husband and I did together like re-doing our space and pottery painting!
Overall I had a very good 2023, but am really looking forward to 2024 🤩 I feel like next year will be my best year yet. The past year has been quite the rollercoaster but I’ve grown so much as a person and have had so much love around me. Went on a two day trip to London, two week study trip to Thailand which was amazing and spend a week in Paris including Disneyland with my family. Overall been a lot of fun, but also a lot of stress because of university and family illnesses. But I still got everyone and get to spend this Christmas with my grandparents ❤️ 2024 should be the year I finally graduate and am really looking forward to that. Just getting more routine in my life and getting some more me time, because balancing school with work, staying healthy, seeing friends and family and also taking care of my mental health is quite the struggle… But there’s always light at the end of the tunnel! ☺️ The winter months are always a little darker but we’re going on a trip to Curaçao with my in laws end of January so am really looking forward to some sunshine and warmth ☀️ Wishing everyone a merry christmas and the best for 2024! 🎄🎅🏼

I've always loved to travel but because I don't have that influencer money 😂 my goal was just to do 1 small weekend trip every month just to keep the travel bug content. And I'm happy that I was able to! Even if it was just quick small trips. I also moved into my own place for the first time and it's been the best thing ever. Purchased the most expensive couch but it was worth it.
I finally stopped letting people make me feel guilty for wanting to live my life. I'm still depressed because money/not many friends but definitely looking back from last year to now it's really crazy to see what you can get done in a year.
And today was my last work day of the year because I'm going to Europe for 2 weeks!! Anyway im done.

2023 was a beautiful year for me. I bought my first house , visited 2 countries, & 8 diffrent states in the US. I also got a new puppy. I have been blessed this year and am forever grateful. 2023 wasn’t my best year I was super stressed and anxious that I didn’t fully enjoy the year. I’m definitely trying to chill out more and say yes to more social gatherings. My favourite thing this year was falling back in love with reading especially fantasy books and finding your channel, im really hoping 2024 is a better year for me I’m ending it in more of a positive mood to when the year started so let’s hope. Also you’re the cutest Tara 💕
I traveled Europe for 5 weeks this year and it was honestly a goal/dream i was SO excited to accomplish and it was definitely the highlight of my year

Loved this vlog! I have been watching you since your one bedroom apartment in LA and you are definitely one of my comfort vloggers. I unexpectedly got pregnant in January and found out in March it was twins. Totally resonated when you said one year can completely change your life, now I’m finishing the year off feeding my daughters while I watch your video! So wild ❤
In 2023 I got deeper into my faith, witnessed my longest friend from kindergarten get married, took my 3 year old son to Walt Disney World for the first time and I got pregnant with my second son who will be joining the party Feb 2024!
I’m grateful for this year and can’t wait for next year!
It’s so fun how you were able to travel & do so much this year! Honestly 2023 was a great year until a couple weeks ago when my dad passed away from cancer. He will be so missed. I’m so glad I was able to go on a trip to Colorado with him & my mom this year ❤️

My top moment of 2023 happened this month: getting offered a great job with the opportunity to relocate and finally move out of my hometown, also a long time goal. I’m ready to start a fresh, new chapter in my new city in 2024 working for a great company with much better benefits and people!
2023 was a very hard year for me because of chronic pain and sickness but the year of course had some wonderful moments as well. My favorites is finally be brave enough to quite my job that was making me sick and traveling to many beautiful places like the mamma mia island in Greece, the south of france, Mallorca and other place. I found your channel this year and really enjoyed following your life in 2023
I had my rainbow baby almost 6 months ago while living abroad! 2023 was definitely the most challenging and rewarding year of my life so far. I knew it would be hard to start my own family without the help of my family back home, but I’m so proud of myself for making the best of every situation regardless of circumstances ❤

i sold my house in 2023 and moved from ohio (the only place i've ever lived) to florida... i learned a lot through that experience!!!
I went back to work in April and i love my job and my work family. I have done more this year socially and made some amazing new friends. Still deal with anxiety but doing better. So many things this year has happened but thats my top one.
One year, i left my tree up the whole year so I could desensitize my cats (which completely worked). For Mother's Day, I made bows of white ribbon (my mother is deceased). Then, for the patriotic holidays, added bows of red and blue. It was soooo cute.
That tree latest one year. It survived the cats, but not the puppy.😢
