    The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG50 is a thermal imaging rifle scope designed for hunters and shooters. It is an upgraded version of the original Thermion XG50 rifle scope, with additional features and capabilities.
    One of the key features of the Thermion 2 LRF XG50 is its integrated laser rangefinder (LRF), which allows you to accurately range your target and adjust your aim accordingly. The LRF has a range of up to 800 yards and is accurate to within one yard.
    The Thermion 2 LRF XG50 also features a high-resolution 640x480 thermal sensor, which provides clear and detailed images of your surroundings, even in complete darkness. The scope has a magnification range of 3-12x, allowing you to zoom in on distant targets for improved accuracy.
    Another notable feature of the Thermion 2 LRF XG50 is its picture-in-picture mode, which allows you to view a magnified image of your target within the main field of view. This can help you aim more precisely and make accurate shots at longer distances.
    The Thermion 2 LRF XG50 also has a built-in video recorder, which allows you to capture high-quality video of your hunts and shooting sessions. The scope can be controlled and customized using the Pulsar Stream Vision app, which can be downloaded onto your smartphone or tablet.
    Overall, the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XG50 is a high-performance thermal imaging rifle scope that provides advanced features and capabilities for hunters and shooters. It is durable, reliable, and designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and heavy use in the field.

    Researching thermal scopes at the moment. Was tossing up between XP and XG50 but after watching your review I think the XG is for me. Thanks for the info.

      The T2 LRF XG50 is a great scope. The old model w/o LRF, not so good.

    I really enjoyed your video and think you did a great review. Around 7 minutes it appears to me you are ranging two different cows. I know that’s easy to do with the thermion. We just enjoyed our first night season with ours. My brother is 11 and I am 14. We are always looking for pointers on using our scope. Thank you for the video!

      Thanks so much. Glad you liked it. I started hunting at night when I was your age about 60 years ago. Glad you are out there to take over and continue our great sport.

    Always straight to the point with the stuff a guy like me needs to know. Jason should let you be the producer and host of the LNVS as him and Han just waste a lot of my time talking just to be talking!!!

    Great review.
    This scope will be even better for hunters after Pulsar comes out with the firmware update to integrate the ballistic calculator.
    Please set the NUC to manual or semi auto while hunting, as that'll stop the dreaded freeze frame from happening while your in the zone.

    I’m concerned about the 40 NetD vs the 25NetD on the XQ50….do you have any thoughts?

    • @Theolddeerhunters
      @Theolddeerhunters  10 месяцев назад +2

      On clear cool nights there is little difference. You will have a little better image in humid weather with the 25. All the new XQ50s are 25 but not enough difference to upgrade from a 40 IMO.

      @@Theolddeerhunters …Thank you. You said in a previous video on the THERMION XP50 Pro that it was so good that you regretted buying the XQ50….That’s got me questioning if I should go with the THERMION 2 XG50 instead of the THERMION 2 XQ50….just worried about the Higher NetD rating on the XG in my incredibly humid middle Tennessee environment.

      @@Hawkvol1 If you have the $$ the XG is much better option with the 640 resolution.

    What's up with no ADM mount?

      The Burris was the only AR mount available when I received the scope for evaluation.

    XG50 or XP50 for shooting out to 200 yards?

    • @Theolddeerhunters
      @Theolddeerhunters  Год назад

      Either will work out to 200 but if you hunt big fields for coyotes where you can see 3-500 yds the XG is better. If you hunt hogs and coyotes where you can't see past 200, the XP is all you need. You don't need an LRF if you can't see past 200.

    Xg50 or the iray th50 bolt

      @@olainolain3704 if you mean turning it on, the Pulsar optics are much faster to be fully ready to shoot than Iray products.
