2 Totally different animals!!!!.....a PA system will sound like a REAL live performance in your back yard.....that's why they are used at Concerts or by DJ's, because Money is involved, people expect a "live" feel to the sound........they also need Lots of volume and space to open up properly, and really need to be Outdoors!!(do not buy if you're listening in your house or garage, you've been warned, I made that same mistake) Party box is better for general music, Indoors, or Smaller outdoors stuff, they sound good if you want portable sound. PA speakers also tend to lack Bass without the sub woofer(so you need to buy wiring, mixer board, lots of shit, not portable or fun to move all that shit)
Yep, I did this mistake with a sony v73d indoors. The xp700 sounds better indoors and the v73d sound 4 times better and louder outdoor or in a very big room.
I bought 2 12 inches pa speakers and they were definitely worth it
This!!!!On point on what they do…I use my bose s1 pro in my backyard with my kids in the pool…partybox inside my house. Good input.
agreed, hifi audio better for indoor use, they also tend to go Infrasonics like pipe organ 16hz c0 etc. better for high fidelity listening

I prefer the sound signature of the JBL, the PA sounds more neutral and louder of course.

That's false. PA systems lack in the sound reproduction of the audio spectrum. The sound of a jbl will sound way better if you ran 2 in stereo mode imo. I have the partybox 320 and can say it sounds absolutely amazing. 2 ultimates would be solid for a party setup@@tbrick4970
The ultimate is already heavy can’t imagine lugging that PA system around plus wires and connections etc probably around 130+lbs? But the sound of course is what you expect for over $2k
The difference is that the P.A doesn't cause as many problems as these JBLs, besides burning out, it's difficult to find replacement parts.
I have all the partybox speakers 2 pb 1000 from 4 years ago and now 2 pb ultimate I have never got one broken.

Seems like the PA has more penetration with the mids, while the ultimate has more atmospheric sound.
the PA's are not even in the right environment like if it was in a bigger place it would sound better BCS of acoustic and shi

In my opinion, I prefer p.a sound, in addition to having a balanced sound, and it is possible to add more speakers to the system, in addition to being much more durable than these JBLs that cause problems, not to mention that the p.a is more resistant
jbl si se escucha muy bien, por que ya trae sus ecualización solo eh escuchado el 710, el PA debe de tener mas potencia le falta un separador de frecuencias para que se pueda defender mejor y tocarlos al aire libre
Put them in a bigger room, or outside, then you see that EV is much better, even the lower elx series.
The mids and lows sound more crisp on the JBL due to JBL's good magnets and drivers, if those are EV's brand PA, they are budget entry level which is probably why JBL can bang with it. EV is known for heating. Both have their uses. JBL is easy on the go and easy functionality plug n play. PA's of this size, i use 4 subs w 4 tops in 4 corners for dances. JBL for large house party!
Al aire libre y en salón grandes se nota la diferencia. En un espacio muy pequeño se pueden hacer pruebas.

Partybox sound deeper
PA subs don't actually tend to go as deep as you'd think but they're mostly for bug open air areas so it makes sense. Doesn't mean they won't shake you whole house tho and they'll probably do it better than any party box.

PA System vs JBL in a corner??
Awesome video! I just got the ultimate yesterday. Beast sound signature. Currently trying to figure out why the floor LEDs won't turn on. Do you have to play at a certain volume for them to work? All the other LEDs work. Do I need to turn on Bass boost? So far I have only tested up to about maybe 30% volume because this thing is loud 😆
Please Answar - I have PB Ultimate if I press side panel or any other plastic surface it little bit ( plastic sound ) its Normal ???
I have a 710 and it crack and adjust itself now and then by just playing it. I think it's normal, just the joints of the plastic rubbing against each other and slightly adjusting after bass heavy music.
I do wonder though, do your Ultimate have a hiss sound from the tweeters because mine does. It's constant and it does not change with volume?

Comprei uma caixa jbl ultimite a 3 semanas, percebi que quando coloco uma música muito forte( alpha blond jerusalem) no ultimo volume os graves param de funcionar e voltam a funcionar quendo baixo o volume. estou com mendo de queimar de vez os alto falantes dos graves. isso acontece com outras caixas ou é defeito da minha, somente?
Já vi uns comentários parecidos... talvez é defeito, mas recomendo verificar se há atualizações

The PA system definitely has better overall sound and bass and even mids. The JBL is loud and good bass, but no way near as hard as the PA system.
So...the jbl has a clean richer and deeper bass...probably the pa subwoofer would do slightly better if you put it in the corner like the jbl...but the PA it's surely more louder and it will dwarf the jbl if you test them outdoors...but i bet the PA is double the price, heavy and annoying to move around, you need some knowledge to properly use them, and they clearly consume more power not even mentioning the ergonomics and design and the lack of lights show...so overall, OVERALL,the jbl shits on the PA in case of the average consumer! Can we agree on that PA fanboy?
