(Sadly, video killed more than just the radio star".... 😟) In contrast, during this excellent show, nobody noticed or cared in the very rare moments when Kim ran out of breath at the end of a phrase (except for Kim, who always had high standards for herself), or one of the backing musicians missed a note, or a band member came in a bit early or one of them was a bit too loud., etc., etc.. Any little imperfections that may have occurred were more than overcome by the heartfelt songwriting, great arrangements, passionate musicianship, and uplifting 'buzz' that Kim & the band were generating in the moment. When Kim & the rest of the band started out, they were young, talented, hard-working, and definitely energetic & entertaining on stage...in part because music & performing was in their souls, and , in-part, because those characteristics were necessary for them to establish credibility, hone their craft, connect with the fans, and lay the groundwork for a long & fulfilling career. Yes, the music scene had already become much more of a business/industry by the 1980s & early 90s (which Kim et al. already knew ,or learned very quickly) but as you can see in this video, back then, the best artists/bands were still authentic, sincere, inspiring....and definitely were never going to be 'fake' in mindset or substance. 👍😎👍

Yeah in the 80s they knew how to make good music. Hundreds by hundreds names who became the real stars after their first albums. I like Kim Wilde as well as Belinda Carlisle. Both of them are the nice singers.

I still have all of the original 12” singles, every CD single, all original albums on CD & Vinyl, every re issue and expanded edition. There isn’t any Kim Wilde realise I don’t have. However even as a big fan I can admit that I don’t think she’s a great live performer, this particular concert is one of the better ones on RUclips in my opinion. If you know of any better ones on here please do share a link. 👍
Kim is an 80s Rock Goddess & Musical Icon ! Great voice & sensational looking ... absolutely gorgeous ! The band is also top-notch ! I saw an interview she did & she seems really down to earth & humble . Kim Wilde is in a class by herself !
