I so enjoyed seeing this video! The last and only time I rode the incline was when I was there as a child of 7 years old.....back in 1967.....56 years ago!!!!!!
We rode that in 1994 after visiting the Smokies for the first time. We rode down, got ice cream and rode back up. I loved it, my wife didn’t. Thanks for sharing!!
Probably one of my all time favorite tourist attractions. I have postcards of it from present day to 1904. You know who are the first timers when it gets steep and people start freaking out. Lol Thanks for taking us along.
My wife and I rode the Incline Railroad yesterday for the first time and enjoyed the ride and the views as well. Heading to Pigeon Forge tomorrow so we're doing the reverse order of your latest adventures. Enjoy following your vlog, thanks!!
Wow so beautiful views of Chattanooga. I was little girl about 7 years old very first time visit Chattanooga Tenn. My mom’s grandparents live in Chattanooga. ❤ Thank You sharing your video. Wow it’s so long way to upper level.
Will and Dawn, really enjoyed your vlog! I'm afraid of heights but, that looks like a lot of fun to ride! Beautiful views going up and coming back down! Thank you for taking me along with you!

I rode that back in ‘75 when I was 8 years old . Scary then and there really is no way I could do it now . No thanks ! But I’m glad you guys liked it . Ruby Falls is a great place to visit ad well. All the best to you .
Yes....there are beautiful views at Point Park too. I've lived in and around Chattanooga all my life....and I've only been on the Incline once that I can remember. 👍
Glad you finally were able to ride it, hubby and I rode it before, enjoyed the ride again with you and Dawn..looks like you had a beautiful day for it.👍🏻
Really cool ride! I love the old pictures and all the details told to the passengers on the way up the mountain. I didn’t realize this place existed. It sounded like safety first with the construction of this project, especially with this day and time.
I never heard of this one but have ridden the Duquesne Incline in Pittsburgh dozens of times, usually bringing friends to Steelers games and taking them on it for the spectacular view of the Point, 3 Rivers, Dahntahn, both Stadiums. This looks just as awesome!!
Good evening, is the switch that transforms the line from simple to double track (crossing loop) operated electrically? In continental Europe most single-track funiculars with two balanced cars are equipped with the needleless switches designed by the Swiss engineer Roman Abt
The railway is a “must do” every time we visit Chattanooga. Just a little advice, next time start the ride from the top, it is a total different experience. Thank you for another fantastic video!
love these road trips, thanks for taking me along to another place I've never seen yet, I will have to bucket-list these places, it's beautiful and I can see by your smiles ya'll are having a lot of fun
This was great, Incline railways are fascinating. Beautiful views. I went on one that was an incline of 52 degrees in the Blue Mountains in Australia. Great fun. Cheers
So I won’t bore you with the wi tire story again… lol Since see Rick city” the other day. Man!- so cool to be taken back to a childhood adventure thst I don’t have to drive to and ray at hotel and… Thank you!
Looks cool. Have you have ever done Ruby Falls up there? Rock City? Or the Civil War stuff? Would love to go up there and check all of that out. Ruby Falls sounds awesome.
Beautiful scenery. Looked like that incline creeped up and down the mountain. Hey Will, I asked you last week but I don't think you understood my question. Which Reagan's House of Pancakes do you like the best in Pigeon Forge? You said you like the one in Pigeon Forge but you didn't say which one in Pigeon Forge you liked the best. Please let me know which one. Thank you.
Welcome to my part of town. I spend about 10 weekends a year in pigeon forge but now you guys came to check out Chattanooga again. I work a block over at a manufacturing company so this was entertaining to watch haha
Once again you made a fantastic video and answered questions for us on cost and time to tour. We’re heading there early June and touring Rock City hoping to see Ruby Falls too. Thank you again for a great video! Love you both and wishing you a wonderful day 🙏💕
I rode on an incline in Pittsburgh, Pa. up to Mt.Washington. It was neat! This, you were on was steeper. I enjoyed seeing Chattanooga. Interesting history on the inclines. They had a nice snack bar, & a really nice gift shop. The brown t-shirt that looked nostalgic was the best of all, I thought. I liked this, it was fun.
Wow! What a great video. I was there when I was young. We didn’t ride the incline car we drove up. Just wondering if you can still drive up if your a chicken about riding the incline car? Thanks again for sharing this video! ❤️
I live in Chattanooga and haven't ridden the Incline in YEARS! As always enjoyed the video. Does not look like it has changed much. They used to use it in extreme ice and snow to get people up and down the mountain. Don't know if they do that anymore.
Hey there Will and Dawn it's been a lot of years since I rode the Chattanooga incline I guess I was probably about 16 years old back into early '80s but it was fun back then and I'm sure it is today too take care guys

Very interesting video. I have been to Rock City a few times, but I have taken the incline rail system looks very interesting.
I meant I never took the incline rail system.
Just a thought….do you know if any accidents ever happened since it’s been running for that many years?
I wouldn't know thanks Debbie
@@yankeeinthesouth thank you for the comment friends! Just one of those things you wonder about since it’s so steep. 🤔
Its was interesting to drive up to in 1960._😊❤
I use to live on Lookout Mountain and have ridden the incline as well as the chair lift. I am not sure if the chair lift is still there.
Not that I know of thank you Hilda
We have been there a couple of times, great views and a cool ride up.
Pikes Peak, CO is by far my favorite!
I don't think I could ride that little railroad...LOL~
Wow, the view is incredible!! I never heard of this railway before. Thank you for sharing!! Was it freakier going down than up?
We're OK with up and down thank you 😊 Bonnie
I live in Chattanooga and haven't ridden the Incline in YEARS! As always enjoyed the video. Does not look like it has changed much. They used to use it in extreme ice and snow to get people up and down the mountain. Don't know if they do that anymore.

She said they use it during ice and snow at 5:19 🙂
I have been to Rock City (about 50 years ago) but never Ruby Falls or the incline railway. It sure looks like fun.
That is pretty neat. We chose not to do it or the fake waterfall when we were there and opted for Rock City and the Aquarium. Good video guys.
Thank you 😊 BodymanFlan
You’re in my neck of the woods. I grew up & currently live just south in Rossville, Ga. My sister used to work in the gift shop.
