I currently use standard cruise control (SCC) as my main way of driving and typically use the "cancel" button when I want to quickly decelerate or get off the highway. Then press "set" again when I resume. This gives me a lot of control which I like. Does this system have something similar to the "cancel" button or would I just have to learn to trust Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). I have trust issues. lol.
Thanks for posting this, I didn’t know about the resume speed setting. Is there any way to disable the warning beep every time your vehicle detects a slowing or accelerating vehicle in front of you?
My 2018 Subaru Outback has this feature. The only thing that I don't like about it is that when following the car in front of me and that driver speeds up and slows down for no reason, my car does the slow and speed up dance with his car on the highway. This wastes gas by changing speeds so often. I end up passing him to get some open road before re-engaging the cruise control.
Thank you for your question! To increase or decrease speed you will use the same toggle switch you use to set your cruise control speed. Depending on the year of your Subaru, it will either go in increments of 1 or 5mph. If you hold the switch up or down to increase or decrease the speed, it will go in increments of 1 if it is usually 5 and vice versa. I hope that answers your question! Let me know if not!
Thanks for your comment! If you wish to use standard cruise, just hold the button that you use for setting the distance and it will turn off the adaptive portion. 😊
This video was great, short and was easy to make use of the information.🙂
Thank you, Ray! I appreciate you!
This was informative

The Cruise Control button serves as a cancel button as well!
@@jamesdorsey2077 Thanks!

Hi how do I to increase or decrease speed? 23 I have it by 5 mph. But my 24 Crosstrek is every tap just one more change? TY

Didn't help at all for those who want to turn the damn ADAPTIVE feature OFF and just use standard cruise.
