I have over 20 years of actor training and experience. There is a technique called "sub personality work" adapted by Eric Morris from Hal and Sidra Stone's Voice Dialogue work. Voice Dialogue is a therapeutic process where you embody separate selves while an operator interviews you as those separate subpersonalites. In subpersonality work, we embody the subpersonality and let it take us over. I always thought this was similar to the assumption of God Forms. I feel like many skills of the magickal operator are suited to the actor. If you're really doing character work well, the character reveals itself to you. You still have to analyze the play, film etc, but at a certain point, the subconscious is revealing itself to you in every moment and building upon itself. As for certain postures to maintain to enter a Godform, there is a technique called psychological gesture developed by Michael Chekov. There's a lot of parallels actually. I'm surprised more actors aren't interested in magick.

Your idea melds really well with my desire to put the Golden Dawn Characters/Angels into cards which each would have an image representing a specific aspect of each character for a better mental collection of power to pull from.
@lyamchristopher2393 That took me a couple double takes... so what you're telling me is that reenacting the emotions and attitudes of my favorite characters and influences is the same concept as a supposed ancient terrible grimoire if the results are the same?
No. A true grimoire is one that you make for yourself, based on the magical contacts that YOU have made. Other people can try to use it, but they don't have the same exact karma that you do, so it will not likely function well for them. Each magical contact is a traumatic scenario that wants to play itself out so that you can make meaning from it and either (1) lay it to rest or (2) befriend it as a helpful, natural impulse. The names and images that you use to call it forth are, more than likely, unique to you. @@dustinemerzian5989

Lyam what's your perspective on magick? Do you believe that spirits are actual external entities, people are able to move objects via their force of Chi, psychic abilities etc?
Hi Lyam, what is the difference between deities, archetypes, and egregores? Are archetypes merely creations of collective thought, or are they forms that exist independently of humans?
Haha. People who know me know that I tend to roll my eyes whenever the word "egregore" comes up. That automatic snooty reaction disqualifies me from talking about it. 🤣 What do you think the differences are?
@@lyamchristopher2393 I have a theory 🙂. I think deities are egregores, but ones created based on archetypal qualities-meaning that people personalized the archetypes, forming an egregore to make it easier to connect with the archetype. I also believe that every nation, sports team, corporation, etc., is under the influence of an egregore. These egregores often limit the members who belong to them by imposing beliefs, attitudes, and so on, that they are expected to follow. Because of this, individuals can become hypnotized by different ideologies, losing their individuality and reason. However, when egregores are founded on healthy and universal principles and aligned with archetypal truth, they can be beneficial for their members, enabling growth and progress. I’d really love to hear your opinion on egregores. What do you think of this idea? Don’t be too harsh; this is just my idea, and it’s still in the process of developing 😁
@@miloskovacevic4117 Yes, I pretty much said as much in my talk about planetary gods. It is difficult for me to describe an egregore as a good thing. When people use the word, I often see it as a place where they seek to hide. What are they hiding from? From waking up, of course. Is the rhythm of the ocean's tides a good thing. When it lifts your ship high enough so that you can enter or exit a port city, we might say it's good. When we are swimming and it creates a riptide, we might then say something else. What is it that Hector says to Paris in the movie *Troy*? "Sometimes the gods bless you in the morning and curse you in the afternoon." An archetype is not really "good." It is ALSO a karmic force. Every "thing" that arises in perception is. I think you may have nailed it with the reference to hypnosis. And this is why all of the gods are seen as bowing down to the Buddha. That gesture has nothing to do with his superiority. It's simply a reference to his complete freedom from hypnosis, showing that all of the gods have something to learn from that. You may begin to notice that I'm kind of a "one-trick pony" on this channel. Constantly talking about the same thing: waking up from the sleep of gods.

Among initiates, idolatry is much simpler concept than religious fundamentalists make it out to be. It simply refers to the attempt to derive ultimate satisfaction from a thing. Any THING at all. When we rely on a thing as a substitute for our groundedness in "non-being," we commit idolatry. And of course, God is not a thing. Therefore, God is the only "thing" (not really a thing, of course) worthy of the word "ultimate."
You’d have to seek within your own psyche whatever God form best speaks to the divine and just apply when creating. Make a Pinterest board, collage images of God forms that speak to you, maybe in the series of images an idea will arise for which form to channel.
Filling out "godforms" reminds me of the "insight roles" spoken about by the order of nine angles. Where you adopt some alien lifestyle such as joining a terrorist organization for a period of time before leaving it. Or perhaps what SS soldiers were forced to do with German shepherd puppies. Idk
I'll tell you the way I did it. Back in the 1980s, I subscribed to two or three New Age magazines (back when magazines still existed 😉). There were some ads in them. A few ads involved various temples revealing that they were accepting students. I regarded the ads as though they were tarot cards, and I settled for one that was not really about recruiting new members. It was advertising its own publication (which no longer exists, but at the time, it was named _The Portal_). The ad also happened to mention that a graded curriculum was available. Inquiring about the the curriculum led to me receiving an application for membership in the mail. All every mysterious. I applied, took a quiz, and was accepted into Ra Horakhty Temple. Students paid quarterly dues, and in exchange, we entered a correspondence course in which they were in touch with a temple advisor. Over the years, I attended several temple retreats, received my 0=0 initiation, and completed the Outer Order work. The whole process, as far as I can tell, was dependent on one main person who served as the guiding light of the temple. Without her, the temple would have been just any other feel-good cult. With her at the helm, it became a school of enlightenment. As far as I know, Ra Horakhty temple is no longer public, or it has disappeared, and its teacher has died. However, her legacy continues on (so to speak) in a scattering of her students. I am no longer in touch with any of my "classmates." That might change soon, I think, because of this naughty RUclips channel. 🤭
@@lyamchristopher2393 ty so much for the response! I’ve been trying to learn on my own and experiencing some things you said would happen when beginning the LBRP for example. All I have so far is a book by Damien Echols walking me through a couple rituals but I’m just now learning about god forms. I’ve been doing it without knowing what I was doing and it was consuming me so I think it wise to follow and learn for much appreciated guidance. I feel I’ve learned a bit from the Ra Contact (Law of One) books whether they are factual or not. I’m sure these are basic to you but I’ve just began a couple years ago Ty ty ty 🙏
It's important that we avoid defining the universe as governed by angels that are going to come rescue us and set us free. We are not in a jail cell on death row. It only appears that way. A system of magic that defines angels that way will, more than likely, reinforce the feeling of being trapped and doomed.
Damien does get into how “for every angel there’s a demon” and has a preference for I guess Jewish mysticism. Invoking the 72 angels of the Shem Ha Phoresh, teaching the LBRP and the Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram on his Patreon/YT, explaining how demons used to be djinn etc. It’s not just archangel work, but he himself has stated that he’s grown less interested in teaching magick. He had to learn ritual to save his life, make miracles (as miracles should happen) and be essentially the first before you to at least open the door a crack! At face value he might seem like he’s only been able to teach basic magick on a rudimentary level but he’s covered a lot of ground! He might not be devoted to the craft as much to truly commit to teaching it as his energy is flowing towards his other passion (martial arts) but at least now the world has you to take that baton.

I found you recommended by Frater X from Mind and Magick (RUclips) and ordered your book. Looking forward to working through that.
To me Saturn is not Austerity, but unecessary setbacks and delays.
Use Saturn for a cleaning day , discipline work - even on ourselves, Saturdays I do a complete body groom maintaining trim I g nails and eye brows all the works . I complete like cleaning the oven and making sure supplies are stocked and soap containers, salts are all full for the next week . .. situations should improve .
@themoonisalwaysfull6480 I have Saturn in 12th house, a Capricorn Stellium, Sun in a different sign, meanwhile Jupiter and Mars are retrograde. Meaning my natal chart has 3x the Saturn.
@@Adam.Reader14 yep I’m Aquarius … just gotta work around Saturn’s tightness …
@@themoonisalwaysfull6480 Just gotta perform Saturn Banishment on the daily.
You don't "use" Saturn. You don't use any god or planet. The user IS the used. @@themoonisalwaysfull6480
