      FYI; MSI afterburner and CTRL + F curve is the best way to OC for me.....ive had to undervolt like to 1.025V @2020MHZ to get the card running under 120% power limit and not throttle so much.....liquid cooled of course!!!!

    I know you guys needed to get the PCB separate from the main cooling plate for the thermistor install, but if someone at home is using this method with the eVGA Hybrid cooler, you only need to do the following steps. Looking at the front face of the card (blower fan pointed at you) with the PCI-E connector pointed downward.
    1. Pull the 2 hex screws closest to the I/O panel/bracket. This is the far left side of the shroud, for reference. One is on each side of the card.
    2. Pull the 2 hex screws on the left side of the blower fan, then the 2 hex screws on the right side of the blower fan.
    3. Pull gently on the left part of the shroud with the clear window on it and it should come off.
    4. With the left side of the shroud off you should see 4 tiny screws, two towards the top of the PCB, two towards the bottom of the PCB, on either side of the vapor chamber. Once those are out, pull gently on the blower fan shroud and it should pop up over the blower fan. Go SLOWLY and if you disconnect the power cable towards the top of the card, make a note to reconnect it during reassembly. This powers the GEFORCE GTX LED panel.
    5. Disconnect the blower fan power cable.
    6. Flip the card over and remove the four BIG spring screws holding the vapor chamber in. The vapor chamber should drop right off the card. BE CAREFUL!
    7. Remove old thermal paste from GPU, BE CAREFUL!
    8. Install the eVGA Hybrid block to the card using the 4 spring screws from the kit, making sure the coolant tubes are coming out of the top of the card when you have finished.
    9. Locate the pump power cable and plug it into the blower fan power header on the GPU PCB. This cable has a pass through so that it can still power the blower fan. Connect the blower fan to the pump power cable as well.
    10. Now you will need to gently fiddle with the new wiring you have added while reinstalling the right side blower fan shroud. When you think it's sitting flush and ready to be screwed in, be sure to spin the blower fan a bit with your finger and make sure it is not obstructed AT ALL. If it is, keep fiddling with the wiring until it spins completely freely and silently.
    11. Reinstall the 2 hex screws to the right of the blower fan and the 4 tiny screws towards the top and bottom of the PCB. 2 of these screws are now a bit harder to install due to the water cooling tubing. You will also notice that you may have to put a bit of pressure on that upper "arm" of the blower fan shroud to get it under the tubing and lined up for the screws. Just use gentle pressure and it will all go together fine.
    That's it! Now you can mount your fans to the radiator, sort out power for them, and install the card into your setup. While not for a beginner, a lot of the disassembly shown in the video can be skipped and the card's backplate doesn't need to be removed at all.

    I'm starting to become very nervous, my EVGA hybrid cooling kit is on its way from Amazon. I've never done video card surgery before but I'm fairly confident I'll be able to handle it. Thanks for the detailed video! Should come in real handy. GAMERS NEXUS FTW!!

      did you order the ones made specifically for the titan xp/ 1080 ti ?

    • @doozerlooshbag5022
      @doozerlooshbag5022 7 лет назад

      I ordered the kit for my specific card line's PCB, which isn't a Titan or 1080ti, but a 1080 FTW edition. I found that the card's heat was choking my CPU thus causing undesirable temps. So, by directly exhausting most of the heat out the back of my Enthoo Evolv mini itx case the CPU should be receiving fresh cool air fed from the front by the stock 200mm fan.

    The first 4 Screws you removed on the top are JUST for the Glass, nothing else. So you can let them screwed in and still taking the top part off.

      We were going to try and leave the left side of the shroud on and route the tubes through it, hence removing the acrylic. Wouldn't fit, though.

    Question, which Evga's cooling solution did you use??? the normal SC one or the FTW3 version???
    Also, is it possible to use its vram and vrm cooling solution from package that it came with rather then using the stock Xp cooling???
    Like the copper vram and such? Does it even fit at all? ever tried it?
    If so, what about the vrm that it came with the hybrid package? Does it even mount properly? Should do another video on it, Very curious about the results and would love to see it, thanks.
    Cause thinking about doing this in the future, reason why I asked. Kindly reply soon, thanks.
    Great video, keep up the good work. Love it.

    When you pushed the pump into the chip and then pulled it up to check wether it was making contact, you should have wiped the paste and applied new one. The way you did it you risk getting air bubbles and decreasing the heat transfer capabilities of the paste.

      Daan Suurmeijer Alphacool sells some pre-filled 240mm rads for their GPU-AIOs, the "Eiswolf". You can just connect the rad with the tubes using the preinstalled quick connects on the Eiswolf. No additional cooling fluid needed.
      You can also buy a pre-filled 360mm rad for the Eiswolf: www.alphacool.com/shop/radiators/active-radiators/21363/alphacool-nexxxos-eiswolf-/-eisbaer-ready-st30-full-copper-360mm-radiator

    Why don't you test the Nvidia FE cards without the acrilic panel on and the stock heatsink? I think would be interesting to see if making it open air style cooler makes a difference or not

    God Bless you steve i will be doing this to two off my titans . I have a question for oyu though. I am getting low gpu utilization for gtav running in sli .. my gpus are about 65- 75 utilized most of the time which is directly resulting in fps dips and drops. My cpu is used at 30 % and i have 32gb of ram, i also have it installed on a ssd and have 1200watts psu.. all tied on a rampage v edition 10 board. bf1 gets about 110- 130 fps in sli 4k ultra with 95 being the .1% low however gtav dips all the way down to 41 fps in 4k 2x msaa or no msaa. If you can help me out with this I will be sure to buy some gear from the gn store. I am also a long time subscriber now :) just want to know if you could replicate this on the latest drivers and give me your input as what you think it could be. Thanks

    Are they using the 1080 Ti or 1080 Hybrid AIO?

    • @GamersNexus
      @GamersNexus  7 лет назад

      They're all the same. We're actually using one that technically shipped with the 980 Ti Hybrids, but there haven't been any changes to the liquid cooler itself.

    • @VIKEPIC
      @VIKEPIC 7 лет назад

      Gamers Nexus But if you weren't using an AIO specifically made for the Titan Xp or 1080 Ti you'd have to cut off some parts of the shroud right? Or would you just need to put the hybrid on and not use the shroud at all?

    • @GamersNexus
      @GamersNexus  7 лет назад

      The liquid cooler doesn't impact installation as they're all the same, it's the shroud. We don't install any special shrouds for these mods. You'd probably be able to use a 1080 Ti conversion kit for the Titan Xp if you wanted the shroud. We just don't use them.

    • @VIKEPIC
      @VIKEPIC 7 лет назад

      Gamers Nexus Do you have any suggestions for which cooler to buy for the 1080 Ti FE from EVGA? The ones made specifically for the 1080 Ti FE are always out of stock so that's not an option :/
