How about they hire Dean Devlin, Spielberg, Whedon, Del Torro, James Cameron to direct individual episodes of Stargate. I bet that would be a hit. Maybe collaborate with Netflix.
I love Stargate and went out of my way to pay for the Stargate Command for two years, using loopholes, because I live in Estonia and by default I was excluded from fanbase by MGM. Stargate fans are global, let us pay for the show we love.
Agreed, this showed up in my Up Next feed only after I happened to search "Riddick". I can guarantee that the RUclips algorithms can ID me as a Stargate junkie but unfortunately they are only focused on the 2nd Amend. or political leanings (that don't agree with their position).
Stargate was so successful bc it was campy like Star Trek, in a fun, geeks like us love it, sort of way. That's why MGM execs don't really understand, just like CBS execs don't really understand Star Trek. Just my opinion, of course.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed both that we'll see Stargate again and that it will *be* Stargate. This is the show I had permission to stay up late to watch with my family back when SG-1 started and my mom and I still re-watch religiously. It didn't have to be edgy to be good.

I'd love to watch a continuation of SG1. a new team spearheading exploration into a new galaxy, fighting a new enemy (maybe someone who manages to set back certain advancements of the tauri) the old team being the "ground crew" back on earth and ready to lend an ear or a shoulder whenever the new team has problems. Imagine, Dr Jackson as Director of an academy where new recruits/scientists get taught abut alien languages and diplomacy. O'Neill being the head of earth defence, Sam as the new leader of the SGC, McKay in some lab doing R&D and Tealc as a Diplomat from the Freed Jaffa Nation.
That's why star trek does so well. As long as the SJW & Feminists do not take full control of the show, And make it a politico statement.(Which they tried) I have no problems with a Lead female role look at captain Janeway I love her as a captain. I still feel like a SJW fan club has made the new star trek discovery. They planned on having a all Female Lead's and supporting cast was just not going to work out. I am happy they did not stick to this formula to long. Would have killed the show...

I REALLY wish they would have finished SGU. It was dissapointing when they cancelled so soon, and even more dissapointing when they never did a follow up.

I'd love to see anyting Stargate be it a reboot, sequel, continuation, or what have you so long as it's still trying to be Stargate and not something else with just a Stargate coat of paint.
Stargate has always been a huge part of my life and it's always been one of, if not my favorite sci-fi series. I would love to see it brought back. They left it open to what happens, especially with the city of Atlantis. The Wraith are still out there!
I was totaly hooked on stargate, i've got everything on dvd, watched all at least 3 times... so a new series of stargate would be great. I liked stargate univers best, because it was a bit more movie like. SO I VOTE FOR THE RETURN OF STARGATE!😬🤘
The replicators were done, Baal was done, and I suspect Season 6 or an Atlantis movie or two would've dealt with the Wraith issue with stabilizing the retrovirus so the Hybrids would remain human permanently; there was a ton of material and backstory built up to support this storyline. Then they would move on to another threat for the next two or three seasons. According to the producers, had the actors not demanded more money we would've gotten another season or two of Atlantis and possibly the movies as well. Instead, a group of actors in Canada on a cable TV show for a niche audience screwed over their fans (who got them to their current position in their career) because they felt their ego was worth more than their actual worth. Besides Jason Mamoa, I haven't seen the others since then without looking them up in Wikipedia. Was it worth it for them to demand more money and kill their golden goose?
We need more, lots more! Now and for the future inspiration of all. Just like previous successful sci-fi, this is a required inspiration to Millions of people, creative thinkings, enginners, scientists and so many more. For the love Ra, why. It's like been stuck in low earth orbit for a lifetime. Come on people, its time!

@@emko333 You're definitely right. And I hated all those romance bits in Universe. I had a terrible impression of the show when I first watched it. Then I watched it again a couple of years ago, and realized those moments are just a small part of the show. Sure, it's boring, but it's not all there is to it... overall, it's a pretty good show.
Stargate Sg-1 was by far my favorite show. This sci-fi show was so special because it was based in a real world, present timeline setting but explored the next frontier of space exploration.
I would love to see SG:U in any fashion at this point. At least to close that storyline. Something new would be absolutely wonderful though. MGM. Please film it in 4K and put it on Blu-ray Disc. I will buy them all...
Have to go with TORYN here, I loved SG1 and Atlantis SGU was okay but Atlantis was never truly finished and I personally loved the Atlantis crew I want them to get their deserved ending. SG1 of course was the best Ben was Okay too but RDA, Mr. Judge, Mr. Shanks, and Ms. Tapping along with the other actors and crew made that series possibly the best Science Fiction not SciFi series ever concieved and produced on television.
Feels so hopeless, every chance they get to revive this, they just drop the ball. I really enjoyed Dark Matter but it was just too expensive in the end with Killjoys sharing the funding.
I loved Dark Matter! A lot of it's fun was the humor in it's stories, much like in the original Stargate series, SG1, and mirrored in the other Stargate series.
I bought all the SG-1, Atlantis and SGU box sets and the movies. So there was no point in me getting Stargate Command. But I would be sooooooo behind Stargate Superdrive if it continued the story going forward. No reboot. MGM can see from other franchises that giving the fans (us) what we want can be successful for a franchise and make money. But they can also see that them giving the fans what they (the studio and agenda driven content) want can also be disastrous to a franchise.
I'm disappointed that I didn't find out about this until now. I would have sent MGM my best Emperor Palpatine memes. "Dewit. Embrace the Stargate and make a new series."
One of the best things about this series was the chemistry between Anderson and Tapping. We rarely see that today in movies and TV. Too bad the relationship was never consummated. I never realized what high level the cast was achieving. They carried the show when sometimes the writers fell down.
I’d like to know how the kid who was an expert in playing computer games planned to fight the enemy while everyone else went into hibernation in the season finale of SGU
I even have a start for the pilot. The Atlantis crew get called back to SG1, to look at a video taken by a small drone on a Pegasas planet. It shows a dude running like crazy down a mountainside, chased by about 20 wraith, with all the info like fuel, altitude, air speed, at the bottom of the picture. Shepard says how long ago did they kill the guy, obviously upset. Ronon looks like he wants to leap through the monitor. The General says this was taken four hours ago and he didn't die. "Watch". Suddenly an ambush pops up and wipes out all the Wraith. Shepard says "Good for them". The General says "Better, good for us. Wait for it".The drone video is showing no fuel left. Teyla asks why they didn't retrieve the drone. The drone shows engines dead and as it passes close over the ambushers, you see the guy that ran down the mountain was Lt. Ford. Without the messed up eye.
Very true. Every time SyFy comes out with a new series I don't watch it because, like, what's the point because they'll cancel it anyways when it gets good.
At some point that channel should start negotiating licensing deals with the streaming services before they shelve them. They do an amazing job at getting a fanbase for the series and could let them live on.
Just missed the drive as I'm seeing this on Dec 10th. Yes we want more Stargate! Faithfully watched in on Showtime, then followed it to Sci-Fy, SG-1, Atlantis and SGU.

Have been a Stargate fan since SG1 season 5 and like star trek before it, an entire generation of adults grew from these episodes, charectors and stories! This platform serves the essence of who we are as a people! And delivers a picture of hope and sovereignty to our very souls... Not to mention: I believe it's a tell on part of the Secret Space Program!😎shhh

It would be so easy to combine the 3 into 1 and give SGU a proper ending. With Atlantis back on earth it would be easy enough to combine SGA and SG1 to find a way to reach a conclusion for SGU
RUclips’s suggestion algorithm must be us using Asgard technology. I just recently started watching the whole series again from the beginning. I have not searched anything here Stargate related yet here I am. 🤔 I use my phone as an Apple TV remote and looked up some cast members on IMDB but nothing here. Interesting!! Dark Matter was a good show. Too bad it got canceled.
I loved Dark Matter! A lot of it's fun was the humor in it's stories, much like in the original Stargate series, SG1, and mirrored in the other Stargate series.
Time for some new blood!
Right as it got spicy Dark Matter got axed. Killjoys is okay, but it feels very cookie-cutter imo.
I bought all the SG-1, Atlantis and SGU box sets and the movies. So there was no point in me getting Stargate Command. But I would be sooooooo behind Stargate Superdrive if it continued the story going forward. No reboot. MGM can see from other franchises that giving the fans (us) what we want can be successful for a franchise and make money. But they can also see that them giving the fans what they (the studio and agenda driven content) want can also be disastrous to a franchise.
I am an old scifi head and reallly enjoyed the actors and production would love to see it back again fingers crossed for the futre from the UK!!
It is long overdue. Either finish Universe, rumored to have been finished, or Give us something new.

I do also, but it’s been to long to bring everyone back at this point. I think they just need to start over with a new cast.

One of the best things about this series was the chemistry between Anderson and Tapping. We rarely see that today in movies and TV. Too bad the relationship was never consummated. I never realized what high level the cast was achieving. They carried the show when sometimes the writers fell down.
I’d like to know how the kid who was an expert in playing computer games planned to fight the enemy while everyone else went into hibernation in the season finale of SGU
Stargate needs to be taken away from MGM if we ever want to see a decent new stargate series. MGM is not the company to give us what we want.

I even have a start for the pilot. The Atlantis crew get called back to SG1, to look at a video taken by a small drone on a Pegasas planet. It shows a dude running like crazy down a mountainside, chased by about 20 wraith, with all the info like fuel, altitude, air speed, at the bottom of the picture. Shepard says how long ago did they kill the guy, obviously upset. Ronon looks like he wants to leap through the monitor. The General says this was taken four hours ago and he didn't die. "Watch". Suddenly an ambush pops up and wipes out all the Wraith. Shepard says "Good for them". The General says "Better, good for us. Wait for it".The drone video is showing no fuel left. Teyla asks why they didn't retrieve the drone. The drone shows engines dead and as it passes close over the ambushers, you see the guy that ran down the mountain was Lt. Ford. Without the messed up eye.
When they put me in a old folks home Stargate will be on the TV nonstop. If I forget everything but those shows I'll still feel alive.
first bring back atlantis release a 4th around a new sg team with alot of cameos from the old crew for the fans.
Amazon or Netflix need to buy it.
I think that's the only solution for us to get Stargate back any time soon.

We had one, it was called Dark Matter - and it was great - then SyFy murdered it.
Very true. Every time SyFy comes out with a new series I don't watch it because, like, what's the point because they'll cancel it anyways when it gets good.
At some point that channel should start negotiating licensing deals with the streaming services before they shelve them. They do an amazing job at getting a fanbase for the series and could let them live on.
I totally agree SyFy channel has lost it way. They need quality SyFy back on that channel .

I agree, make it more of an adventure like the first two series. Universe was dark and boring like Deep space nine and the remake Battle star..
In "Fragile Balance" Jack O'Neill was cloned as a teen aged boy with all of his memories. That could be a reboot start point.

Just missed the drive as I'm seeing this on Dec 10th. Yes we want more Stargate! Faithfully watched in on Showtime, then followed it to Sci-Fy, SG-1, Atlantis and SGU.
I want to see SGU completed!!! That ending is stuck in my mind forever

Still, when it comes to bittersweet endings, I think the writers did the best they could. It might not have wrapped up everything, but it was a lovely, if painful, way to see the characters off...

Have been a Stargate fan since SG1 season 5 and like star trek before it, an entire generation of adults grew from these episodes, charectors and stories! This platform serves the essence of who we are as a people! And delivers a picture of hope and sovereignty to our very souls... Not to mention: I believe it's a tell on part of the Secret Space Program!😎shhh
Perfect timing for this. Especially since right now major film companies are putting out product nobody asked for...and are failing. It's interesting to see how they respond to IP's that people are not only asking for but starting tweetstorms over.
Rather see Stargate Atlantis make more seasons or universe continue. A 4th series would still have my full support.

@@catchsomething211 How was it 'shit'? Not enough 'action' for you? Then start looking at it as an intellectual story tell. Body counts don't mean good, less action doesn't mean bad. Universe was the BEST of the Stargates, and that is a very high bar.

It’s time to combined be all of the stories, including Universe!
It would be so easy to combine the 3 into 1 and give SGU a proper ending. With Atlantis back on earth it would be easy enough to combine SGA and SG1 to find a way to reach a conclusion for SGU
so long as they stay true to the original.
