  • Established in the early 1900’s, the NIVLOC Mine consisted of a single 1300ft vertical shaft and over 24000ft of tunnels that ran throughout the surrounding hillsides.
    Primarily a gold and silver producer, NIVLOC was a small site that operated off and on until the 1960s, when a cave-in of the main shaft occurred. Due to rising operations and rebuilding costs (and decreased gold/silver prices), NIVLOC determined it best to cease production of additional ore and close down.
