Glad to see I got it right! I did buy a new belt and to get it on the pulley I have to install it right after getting it on the hydro and before putting the 2 lower pins in.
Great video, Thank you for being so thorough. I have an HB 112 that I used for mowing for about 12 years and has been in the shed for about the last 7 years. I have changed over to a zero turn for mowing for the sake of time saving but want to get the old AC running to use general yard work and gardening. Where could I find a tiller and all the necessary running gear?
Hi Zip I hope all is well,I just put mine on the old 700 short column yesterday too. I think I took off the canoe attachment too soon it looks as were getting monsoon tonight and wednesday !! Damn way too wet of a spring! Been kinda crappy feeling and taking it easy a bit . as Dirty Harry says (MANS GOT TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS) Please do the same. take care My Friend, bob
Took it easy yesterday while I regrouped and got a game plan sorter out in my bean. I hope you get to feeling better my Friend and thanks for the words of encouragement. Zip~
I actually had the tiller lock on my old simplicity when i was about ten years old took me for a ride right up the bank seemed like i was flying . I have since done it on purpose to see and its not as fast as when i remember it being when i was a kid but i always keep a bolt in there now lesson learned
Unfortunately, I do not. But I do have manuals that will cross over to your model which will give you a complete parts breakdown. Check the description below the video for my email address. Zip~
Hello there, I just subscribed to your channel. I just had a big ten allis chalmers given to me. It came with a factory replaced 42" mower deck, a rear mount tiller and 42" cultivator and a small two blade belly mount cultivator. It doesn't run at the moment and it's partially apart and missing a few items. I was wondering where would be a good place to get parts. I've watched some of your videos and they have answered a lot of my questions. I know the original owners and it's been sitting in the barn for 40 plus years. I'd like to get it running then restore it to use. Thanks.
Three places. Simpletractors.com, Michaelstractors.com and Facebook Groups catering to Simplicity and Allis-Chalmers garden tractors. The two blade cultivator is a Potato Hiller FYI. Cheers! Zip~
@@ZippoVarga thanks for the info... The two blade cultivator is actually like two small subsoiler blades. I really enjoy these old garden tractors. The box store riding mowers are ok, but to me they just don't have the capability these old garden tractors have. Anyway thanks again.
Hi friend, im new to your channel,im just down road in Anderson. i picked up a AC410 with tiller, could u give me the link to your video on the rear pto ? i think i might be missing some parts, any help would be appreciated .thanks for the informative videos
The AC 300 and 400 series tractors were not made by Simplicity and had their own breed of implements and PTO set ups. I'm sorry, I cannot help you, as I'm not familiar enough with them to give you sound advice. Zip~
@@billellis7979 I'm glad it was able to help where I wasn't able to personally! There are precious few parts on the AC 300 and 400 series that are shared with the Simplicity models of the same years. Most notable are the transmissions, bevel gear boxes and drive shaft components. Beyond that, you'll need to locate a similar 300 or 400 series Allis to obtain parts from. Also, the implements are not interchangeable for the most part, so you'll also need to find specific implements made for your model. Enjoy it! Cheers! Zip~
They really help with the constant lifting and lowering of the tiller if you've got a lift lever and if you've got a hydro lift, it helps take the strain off of it. Cheers my Friend! Great to see you stopping in! Zip~
Hey buddy I need ur help big time with my mower deck I look at ur video and I still can't get it to cut the blades move counter clockwise but the spindles clock wise
She's definitely got character! I've had over 50 people contribute something to U-A over the years....stickers, skulls, body panels etc. She's definitely a fan favorite. And I'd have thought my 1964 Landlord would be the most popular, but Nope! lol Cheers my Friend! Zip~
Got to get me some of these 3 point gadgets. I figure even a back blade I could do some damage. Question...If I can't nail down that Vari-Drive, can I swap out for a HI/LO box like you have? I sent an e-mail about mufflers.
heliarche the older craftsman garden tractors have got a hi/lo that are really tough but I think they are side drive.might squeeze one of them in there.aka 1980s gt 5000 gt 6000 ect
Your best bet is to swap out the pulleys for regular ones, then you can put a Hi-Lo on, but those units are not cheap. I got mine about 10 years ago and back then I paid $290 for it. Cheers Brother! Zip~
Another option is to get a 6 inch pulley for general stuff and a 10" pulley for tilling and more demanding grunt work where you need more torque. You mentioned a "back blade" in another comment. These have a Mid Mount Grader Blade and they do a great job! Cheers Brother! Zip~ Video showing Mid Mount Grader: ruclips.net/video/iyFPDaEJjbs/видео.html
@@cmonster6 Yes the older Craftsman GT's transaxles were tough, and yes the input on them was on the side. Man I miss my old 1988 Craftsman GT...that thing mowed 2 acres and a lot of other chores around the property for 21 years...I should have kept it and rebuilt the engine. It decided the connecting rod shouldn't be connected anymore, even after it blew the connecting rod on the 1 cylinder it still managed to run long enough to get it back across the property and back to the shed...they just don't build stuff like that anymore....and the replacement YT4000 I had was garbage from day 1 it did less than 1/2 the stuff the old GT did and only managed to survive 7 years before it blew up. The old GT had a Briggs & Stratton 18HP Twin engine, and the YT4000 supposedly was a 24HP but that thing didn't have near the power the old 18HP engine had.
The Bevel Gear Box is shot. I've got a replacement, but it will require splitting the tractor in half (like you have to do to the older bigger farm tractors) in order to swap it out. Time is the issue with that. It's been sitting now for 3 years waiting on its turn under the wrench. Cheers Abandoned! Zip~
Thank you Zippo for posting this video. I live it

Is there a video anywhere that shows rebuilding one of those tillers ?? Bearings went out on mine
Email me Taylor. Snap a pic of the tiller and send that to me and I'll send you the parts listing. zippovarga@gmail.com

I always wondered why my 7016h had a stop pin in the hand lift arm. It must have had a tiller in it's lifetime.
Is there any issue running a later model tiller with the new style mule drive on one of these older machines?
Here I am! 🙋♂️ 😂 ✌️🤙
Do you have any videos on 900 series allis tractors. I have a Deutz-Allis 916 that has been hard to find videos on. Thank you.

ZippoVarga thanks! I posted some videos of my tractor and implements on my channel. I’m going to try to post things as I learn.
Can you do a tiller mounting video on a newer tractor? I cant seem to find any for a 3416h simplicity.
