  • Jesus presented two lifestyles to His disciples: They could deny themselves or live for themselves. Today, we face the same decision. Will we embrace the cross or ignore it? In this study, we learn that if we choose to follow Jesus, we must be willing to serve others, dethrone ourselves, abandon our personal ambition, and submit to God's will for our lives.
This teaching is from our series Matthew - 2011 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

Wow! Another great in depth study! I have been reading through the Bible and after I finish a book I listen to the Bible study so I am not influenced first. It is amazing how certain scriptures won’t make sense at first and then pastor skip will go into greater detail on Jewish culture or bring in another scripture from another book that explains it. I am greatly blessed to have his study and verbal commentary. Thanks to the church for putting these videos out and they are still blessing us years later!

Healing! It IS an art. It is built into our bodies to heal. Our Father didn't forget anything when he made us.!!!There are those times, when healing occurs beyond what is natural; miracles!!! When the LORD gifts us with a miracle simply because we "believed" HE would do it...How Marvelous. I believe in "Healing Touch!" The Power of LOVE (Jesus)from the heart can be released from one to another by a simple touch. I never had a green thumb, but my hands have "healed!" My Faith in what The FATHER can do through me is strong. HIS will, HIS timing. HIM Glorified!! Hallelujah!!!

My 10-year-old daughter and I have nightly Bible studies. Tonight, we're going to be covering Mark 9 and 10. I listen to your sermons on the expound series, among other sources, to prepare for our nightly studies. Tonight is extra special however, because my 20 something year old son, who is an atheist, will be joining us on his computer from the other side of the country. Thanks Skip

I wish more parents would teach their children about Jesus. It seems to me in today's society this is very much needed. Thanks for an in depth and great Bible Study!
