My school has an A/V program, they used Final Cut Pro, and in Final Cut Pro, I clicked "export," and got my video. I make music using Audacity and FL Studio, I click "export," get the audio file. I draw and animate too, click "export," get my drawing. Simple shit.

I do not subscribe to many channels. But today was a 8 to 10 hour process of trying to export various files that were just not exporting and tried software encoding and it worked. Never got an error message exporting would just stop and premiere pro woukd stop working. Thank you so much for this video. Also love the name Leo and have for a long time it is what we have wanted to name a son if we have one for a couple of years now.
@@LearnHowToEditStuff Yea there was a hotfix available on Reddit. That fixed Premiere Pro but I had the driver crashing, also Nvidia Broadcaster sometimes crashes the driver as well. So Studio Driver it is for now :)
I can confirm that the latest nvidia game drivers 461.09 have a big error and block the media encoder after a few seconds, when I returned the drivers to 457.51 everything works perfectly
@@mr.pancakegaming2922 Thanks for the tipp, I'll try both: Reverting to 457.30 and also installing the Studio Driver - always had the Game ready driver and didnt even knew the Studio one existed... Hopefully that helps! Right now I'm trying to render using the ProRes Codec first, cause the driver is still downloading -seems weird but it works so far already.
I solved this problem rather unconventionally, after trying all your solutions on my 1 hour 36 minutes long video, I came up with a cunning plan. I exported it as 15 minutes long individual videos (by looking at the exact point in time). So I basically had 6 parts of perfectly exported videos. I opened a new project, put them all together perfectly, and exported again, it worked like a breeze! ❤️
Changing the preview file format and switching the effects up and down actually worked 😍🔥🙌🏻💯💯 was stuck for past 2 days being unable to export. Thank you 💯
I had a nearly 2 hour video I was trying to upload. I'd wait the 5 hours to see only 48 minutes of the video uploaded. I used your QT Pro Res option. It worked. Thank you.
Will definitely remember these tips. Recently tried to export a 45 minute project and had to try about 18 times before it worked, but it would always fail at upwards of 85% so it could be sure to waste the maximum amount of my time lol
THIS WAS SUPER HELPFUL! Nesting the problem clip after removing the warp stabilizer plug-in and applying warp stabilizer to the nested sequence and re-rendering fixed my issue. My render stopped at two stacked clips with the top having a layered effect over the bottom and it's just incredible that you are able to re-create problems with your own projects and fix them for us all to see! Thank you for this!
While I am appreciative of the wonderful help, there is something else that needs to be said about these glitches in Adobe Premiere. How dare they charge $50-$100 a month for this crap!
Just fixed a weird export problem, wherein my video output render loops parts randomly (sometimes in the middle, a few times on the end part of video), and after that, PR suddenly don't show any preview screen. Audio has no problem. In short, I've done what you've done, changing the project settings video rendering playback to SOFTWARE ONLY. Works like a charm, thank you so much for this one bro!!! more power to you!!
H264 is manly 4.2.0 colors, 8 bits and heavy compression (only 1 true frame against 11 interpolated ) . Pro res is 422 10 bits and do not compresse over frames, only "in frames", So off course it's much much better . TV PAD rated ...

Cute kiddo holmes. Congrats. And thanks for the tips. I've also found this to work sometimes: 1. Close Premiere 2. Delete all Audio & Video Preview folders 3. Re-open your project and try again. and if that doesn't work, I will also try repeating the process, with a computer re-start before re-opening the project.
Unchecking "Automatically refresh growing files" fixed an issue I'd had with artifacts appearing in the video renders. I've had this issue for a long time now and never found a fix until today. Thanks!

My man, you are the best for this. As a longtime editor I can feel your pain in these things and the time and process it takes to figure these things out (and the occasional shouting and tears). My problem ended up being a memory leak because of a third party Blackmagic plugin (freezing every time I exported, made proxies, etc) but just wanted to leave a comment and leave some appreciation because people have no idea the amount of time savings you’re giving here. You’re doing God’s work right here 🙏🏻

Haha so I was having an issue with exporting, it just kept exporting grainy and couldn't figure out why, even tho the footage I input was 1080, and the output says 1080, my source kept staying at 352...so..grainy result. Then I came here! You suggested changing the drop down thing to QuickTime and 4444 sumn, I did. It didn't work in the program I was using (figured cuz I'm in windows not mac) BUT that move made me think.....and THEN I thought, well maybe there's a windows version and I'm just gonna play with all these drop downs till I find one that works for me! And just like that sir, u ended my 14 hr troubleshoot session. I wanna hug u or sumn geez. Thank u!! If u ever want a personalized song or jingle or something let me know!!! Very thankful for u.
Have been going through the export error for a while. The timecode moves forward every single time and after it reaches the end of the timeline, the next time i thought this would end this continuous suffering. But nope. Premiere just wont let me have my way. It gave me another timecode which is wayyyyy into the beginning of my video. Premiere really said “it’s round 2 mf”
Thanks for the great tips (as always). Wondering if you would consider a video that shows how to consolidate a project for archiving? And/or consolidating and prepping a timeline for export to another piece of software (e.g. Resolve for color correction) on another system? - (as opposed to just linking to all the media on the same system) All I encounter is problems trying to consolidate...lots of problems. Pretty sure Premiere has bad code in there.

Holy Flip. This just helped me with my issue with my rendering issues when exporting. It was some FX with TEXT that I was NOT even using for anything; it was just ENABLED. So I disabled it and BOOM....render. Good to go now. Awesome explanation...thankyou so much.

I tried everything in this excellent video to no avail, but it did inspire my eventual solution: export the 20 minute, 4K technical build video in 7 pieces and then assemble those pieces in a new timeline. Worked like a charm and saved me untold frustration. Solution moving forward: DaVinci Resolve.
Deactivating plug ins to find the problem is what helped me solve my issue! I found that I'd added way too many text boxes that were hidden and I couldn't delete from just looking at the frame. I used the same method to hide all of the blank text boxes, and it worked! Great video.

So many thanks! I had flickering and tried the suggested setting changes (some are impossible in a running project), effect order changes and then tested the different effects. As I used several chroma clips all the "makeup" effects for a beautiful face had to be rendered all together. Finally I had to eliminate the shadow highlight effect - and it worked! After three hard days and your helpful video (although difficult to understand ofr a non native speaker). Thanks again!!!

For ppl using after effects and AME I found out that sometimes its the video clip itself thats corrupted, it might not be black and might seem normal but if you look at the error and the time code it gives you, try to redownload/reload the footage in that time space. Ended up working for me, hope this helps ppl... so much headache

Thanks for the tutorial. Had Rendering issues, kept telling me "exporter returned bad result", and your video suggested a change in video preview. Changed it to GoPro Cine 12 bit. Worked like a charm. Makes sense since we film on a GoPro. Video will be up on our RUclips channel Saturday.
Thanks a mill. For me it was lumetri colour... found the time in the clip it was causing an issue and deleted that fx, added it on and adjustment layer and all rendered out fine...for now :)

not in MP4 for hope ... if yes you double a very lossy compression .... do it with proves or DNX or Cineform

actually didnt know until when i exported my video and found out that my color grading looks totally different than what i actually did

putting the plugin effects on an adjustment layer helped me, wasted 8-ish hours over 2 days trying to fix render problems
For me the fix was the video preview. My was set to AVI. I set it to I Frame and it works perfectly! Thanks man

Holy Flip. This just helped me with my issue with my rendering issues when exporting. It was some FX with TEXT that I was NOT even using for anything; it was just ENABLED. So I disabled it and BOOM....render. Good to go now. Awesome explanation...thankyou so much.

I tried everything in this excellent video to no avail, but it did inspire my eventual solution: export the 20 minute, 4K technical build video in 7 pieces and then assemble those pieces in a new timeline. Worked like a charm and saved me untold frustration.
Solution moving forward: DaVinci Resolve.
Deactivating plug ins to find the problem is what helped me solve my issue! I found that I'd added way too many text boxes that were hidden and I couldn't delete from just looking at the frame. I used the same method to hide all of the blank text boxes, and it worked! Great video.

So many thanks! I had flickering and tried the suggested setting changes (some are impossible in a running project), effect order changes and then tested the different effects. As I used several chroma clips all the "makeup" effects for a beautiful face had to be rendered all together. Finally I had to eliminate the shadow highlight effect - and it worked! After three hard days and your helpful video (although difficult to understand ofr a non native speaker). Thanks again!!!

if i ever see you im going to give you the longest hug ever....for me the media encoder helped. it really annoying that i spent a decent amount of money to get a graphics card and make my PC fast and up to date, this error bullshit is soooooo annoying. It has happened few times before and it is always different

For ppl using after effects and AME I found out that sometimes its the video clip itself thats corrupted, it might not be black and might seem normal but if you look at the error and the time code it gives you, try to redownload/reload the footage in that time space. Ended up working for me, hope this helps ppl... so much headache

Amazing! Thanks. The tip at 3:50 (growing media files) was the one that helped me out. Render windows wouldn't open. I unchecked the box, and badaboom badabang, I'm back in the game

OMG, after hating you for the long intro, I forgive you because I fixed it with changing my sequence setting back to 29.97. For some reason, I think it was when I tried to put graphic titles in that messed up the whole frame rate. THANK YOU!!

Thanks for the tutorial. Had Rendering issues, kept telling me "exporter returned bad result", and your video suggested a change in video preview. Changed it to GoPro Cine 12 bit. Worked like a charm. Makes sense since we film on a GoPro. Video will be up on our RUclips channel Saturday.

Thanks a mill. For me it was lumetri colour... found the time in the clip it was causing an issue and deleted that fx, added it on and adjustment layer and all rendered out fine...for now :)
