Thanks for the video. Im trying to find the proper torque value for the mount to strut shaft nut. If that is tightened up too much it can cut the life of the bearing underneath down
Ralphy...the stabilizer link would knock out swinging the wheel with a wobble righty? Some are talking about changing the whole control arm on my Chevy! Wanna hear from ya before I do that!
Ok so. Great video. I think I did something wrong. Why do I now hear a creaking noise when I turn left an right. This is experienced when the vehicle is still.
Sounds like a seal inside the new mount. I would drive it for a couple of weeks and see if it gets worse and warranty the part if needed. Maybe spray some penetrant and see if anything changes. Hard to say.
Nice going ,Ralf -you shouldn't be so nervous making a video ,just take your time , and enjoy what you're doing.
GREAT video! Perfectly done and explained! God bless you, Ralf!
Thanks for the insight. This is a big help.

Awesome video! This helps a lot! By any chance, do you have links to the strut mount kit you used?

Can we repair all the shock absorbers in a chevy cruze?
Yes, you can.
Nice & Thanks
Is this video in slow motion...?
That strut bolt you zipped out on the top mount was not as easy so it was done off camera 😢
They come off real easy with the Impact! It only takes few seconds LOL I just really forgot to turn the Camera back on. I think t0ey call that old age
Can confirm that it comes off really really easy with an impact. Took my strut out to inspect it for noise concerns.
