      place onions in boiling water first and leave for several minutes, makes them easier to peel

    its quicker to top and tail them, then pour boiling water on then and leave for 15 mins, the skins just roll off without effort.

    Hello Mark from Melbourne Australia, is the malt vinegar plain or does it have added spice to it? We are in lockdown again so have lots more time on my hands to pickle onions and me lol

    I don't get it. You worry about sterilizing the jar, then you fill it full of vinegar. Nothing will grow in there, man.

      HI keith roof guttering are local stores had no guttering in over covid so doing in side was next priority

      Use small yellow onions. Actually, you don't have to salt them either, except for a bit of salt for flavor.
