Between you and Allen, I'm sold on this one. Thanks for the review!
Another great video!! After watching your warp up video, I was very excited about this one. This review just made me more thrilled to get this! It feels like the author is a great story telling!
Thank you for the review 🙌
Your enthusiasm is contagious!
I have a stack of books to get through, but I'm definitely adding this to the list!
This book is amazing, one of my favorites I've read in a while! Thanks for the rec 💯
Just added this one to my TBR, I think I may have to bump it up to the top. Keep up the Awesome Work !!!!!
I am definitely checking it out!! Great review El 😊
I'm even more excited than before. Thank-you for the detailed review. ❤️
Thank you, Elliot! Great review! I think I will have to pick this one up!
Been putting off reading this but your video has me sold! Finally going to read it
Love your reviews, this one is on my 2022 TBR. Thanks
Thank you for making this review! I have had an e-arc of this one for a while, but have been struggling to get into it because there is so much going on. I am definitely going to give it more effort! Thank you!!
Yeah, it definitely took me a bit! Once things start moving and everything clicks together, it really picked up 😄
Thank you for the recommendation, Elliot. I have a horrible time finding new books I like, and I was worried I’d fallen into a rut. I’m a couple chapters into this and loving it.
I just need to say that your makeup is stunning in this video! 🖤
You convinced me! I'm going to check if my library has this one.
The family dynamics are great, awesome review.
I have it downloaded in my kindle library and I’m going to begin it now. Thanks for the nudge.
Thanks 👍🏼 Glad you enjoyed it.
Love this vid !
This sounds like a book for me! I just finished The Boneshard Daughter per your recommendation and I was not disappointed. Hearing you discuss this plot and its intricacies I can tell it'll catch my interest. I definitely don't need to particularly like characters in a book as long as I'm interested in what they're doing, plotting and thinking. I also love it when the plot sets one thing up but then plans don't work out and lead to many unforeseen consequences, because it creates for great opportunities to really hammer out how the characters work, what they want, need and who they are. So yeah, I'm excited now!
Yay! I hope you end up liking this one too, and I’m glad Bone Shard Daughter worked out 😄
I just saw this book the other day at the bookstore while looking for another book. I didn't find the other book so I decided to buy this one when you recommended it in the other video. I'm reading some other books right now, but once I'm done, I plan on reading this one.
I totally need to pick this one up!
His Steelhaven series is amazing. Never understood why he didn't get more notice.
Btw!! Love your makeup you wear warms beautifully 🤗
Thanks for the recommendation, I'm very picky with what I read these days and not read a fantasy for ages ! Anyways, 16% in and hooked ! X
Odered the book halfway through this video. Completely hyped!! :)
I reviewed “Engines of Empire” a week ago, so I was interested in watching your review. I agree that the world, the magic, the society based on machines, and the political aspects of the book are amazing. Except for the fifth point of view character, whose name gave away his role in the story and the twist, I didn’t care about the POV characters, and I wouldn’t have been sad if they’d died. The plot, the world, and the intrigue kept me reading, when I considered not finishing it. It turned out to be one my favorite reads in January. I’m hoping in the next book the characters will have grown enough that I will care.
Sounds amazing! I added it to my tbr, thanks for the recomendation😄
Unrelated question: what foundation do you use? Your skin looks flawless😍
Will definitely check this out! FF12 (as well as X and X-2) are my fave in the series. This book sounds like something up my alley and they books I’ve gotten based on your gushing recommendations have yet to fail me!
Also side note: not sure if you’ve ever mentioned it or played it but I think you’d really love the Suikoden games. Deep and rich storylines, political intrigue, interesting magic system, and great characters (all 108 of them lol).
Thanks for the recommendation!
I see Final fantasy in the title, I click on it! Definitely gonna pick this book up next shopping spree!!
Okay yes i am going to read this 😍😍
I just might check the library for this book 🤔👍 hopefully I will enjoy it
FINAL FANTASY 12????!!!!! IM SOLD. BUYING IT NOW. Its the most underrated final fantasy.
Yesss a review! Can we get more of these instead of the most anticipated/top 10's?
I like anticipated/top 10’s as well personally 😆
@@ebnovels haha I just feel like no one is doing reviews right now except Mike's Book Reviews and evvvveryone is doing lists. I don't know how many top ten lists I've seen in the past month or two 🤣🤣
I'm currently reading this, and I am struggling through these first chapters. It is in part because I don't really care for most of the characters right now. (It's also a NetGalley arc, and the formatting is kind of wonky).
I remember you talking about it GoT meets something right😅? You had me at anything Asoiaf
Well you did it again! I bought this book after hearing you rave about it and yeah - it’s really great. I think Tyreta was my least favorite of the POVs but it was still interesting enough to keep me engaged. At first I couldn’t stand Conall but by the end, I think his arc was the best developed in the series. My only complaint was the amount of profanity (I know, I know) but I’m kinda sensitive to it.
Been binging through the sequel!
I really enjoyed this, though not as much as you did. I loved once the book hit Part 2 and like you, Rosomon was my favorite! I personally didn't enjoy the desert or the jungle or the western country...I just wanted to stay in the city lol!
....FF meets GoT, you say?? I'M sold!
Definitely adding this to my To-Read list-Thank you.
Me looking at the video title: "Say no more."
Final Fantasy 12 you say??
You've got my attention!
So the real question is....how is the action? I'm talking like fight scenes and battles.
This sounds so interesting and different! Do you know how many books there will be in the series?
I don’t! I’m guessing at least a trilogy, but I’m not sure 😯
@@ebnovels I’m reading The Poison Song atm, 10 chapters in.
You should check out Castles In Their Bones by Laura Sebastian - it's got plenty of politics and morally grey characters
Already read it 😄😄😄
Could you do a review on the Dancing Jax trilogy?
Idk, I have a lot of other things I’m hoping to get around to, but maybe someday!
I'm listening to the audiobook of it and yeah, agree with the plot beats in unexpected times when you least expect it, and Rosomon's twist about Fulren's actual parenthood was a gut punch I didn’t see coming, reminds me a bit of this persian folk tale of Sohrab and Rustam where the son kills his biological father in the battlefield without knowing that's his father until the moment he knows and it's way too late by then, will definitely finish it, it's so much fun to listen
So what is that Plot of this story?
Game of Thrones meets Final Fantasy XII? Final Fantasy Tactics?
I know this isnt the point of the video, but do you have blush on your forehead? I sat here for half the video contemplating if thats always how you did your make-up, and Im just now realizing. I dont mean to be rude just the curiosity distracted me that I really want to know, LoL. The concept of the book sounds interesting. Ill have to check it out.
I think the video is a bit overexposed. I see what you are talking about, but when she moves her head, it disappears. Maybe the settings on her camera got messed up, or a new lighting setup, or something.
I thought she might have been a little bit sunburned 🤷🏼♀️
@@Lilac-and-Gooseberries My first thought was that its blush being used to contour. Mainly because of how its framing the face is similar to how people apply contouring with a dark shade. I just never seen it done with blush; at least not that Im aware of. I can see how it may be construed as a sunburn too, but it's Winter here.
I record on my phone, so depending on what I’m wearing, the colors get tweaked. But idk, I’ve been outside a lot recently-idk where “here” is for you, but winter in Arizona is great. Sorry you were distracted for half the video! 😂😂😂
Also, glad the book sounds interesting! I hope you like it if you pick it up ☺️
