everyone with aspd is different just like everyone ever is different. there are lots of different ways sociopathy presents & it isn’t a rare disorder so chances are a lot more people have it than we think. some people with aspd can feel empathy and love as well, it’s a spectrum

I got a lot of allergies too, and I've been pretty cautious about what I can and can't eat. BUT, what I can't fathom, is why someone with allergies would steal someone else's lunch. If I was her, I'd keep all my food to myself, and PERSONALLY make my lunches the night before... Just saying... (Love your vids btw... :3)
for real… i had a really bad gluten intolerance when i was younger and i can’t fathom stealing other peoples lunch especially when you don’t know what’s in it 😭

@@megiggity I’m pregnant and hormones are the worst. However we do know what we’re doing. If I’m emotional then I let my bf know but I also know that it’s not okay to be an asshole to my partner. And the testing of loyalty is just childish. I think they need therapy, apart and couples. I’m also confused as to why he said kick her out and not divorce. If you’re in marriage then you both work it out but he can’t be kicking her out while she’s pregnant and potentially bringing her back in after she’s giving birth because he might think she won’t be an asshole to him. Do I make sense? Lol sorry

Upon researching the matter I found out that a bar tender or restaurant cannot refuse alcohol to someone based on pregnancy or perceived pregnancy which is literally so insane to me.
he might get fired but they can definitely publicly shame them and let everyone in the Bar know what the mother's doing. I'd probably just do that and then quit
It's probably because of profiling issues, where because of someone's bias they might not let certain women drink because they're pregnant, like overweight women. This could also apply because of liability issues, where bars paid lawmakers to make sure that they would not be liable for serving pregnant people, but in effect made it so they couldn't deny them. These are just theories though.

I wonder why the dad hasn’t actually just asked his daughter if she actually loves her boyfriend? He says he knows she’s attracted to him and likes his company, but he doubts she loves him. Why not just ask? Also if she gets upset when he talks about telling her boyfriend the truth out of fear of scaring him away, maybe she does love him?

People of this condition are incapable of ever loving anyone or anything. The thing is, love and attraction are very different things. She very clearly is attracted to him and enjoys being in his company. Having to mask emotions with imitations of the real thing and never fully being empathetic of your partner’s feelings can’t go unnoticed forever. Many of these people can have healthy relationships if they’re open about what they’re facing. In this situation, her partner has zero idea and wants to move to marriage. How are you going to be in a marriage with someone who’s hiding that big of a part of themselves? Lack of empathy and genuine love is a huge component missing from a relationship.

Unpopular opinion but I support the fifth guy. Maybe he should have just straight up refused the group more drinks, but as someone who has seen the effects on children of mothers doing substances while pregnant, I think he made a good choice. The effects of FAS are disastrous. It's really a situation where someone did the "wrong" thing for the right reason.

In that first one, can they not literally just report them or some shit or just leave to find a new job? Because if that behavior continues, it's just a matter of time before it escalates once more.
They have no evidence against this person, no matter how badly the boss' daughter was affected because of it. And even if they are led to believe it was the OP, they can't say whether the taking of their lunch was consensual or not. Honestly, at that point it's just natural selection if you're just grabbing food and eating it without asking what's in it.

I think that sometimes, just because YTA doesn't mean you're automatically in the wrong. Sometimes you have to be the asshole or you'll be put in the place where you'll end up being the asshole no matter what you do.
What's really wild to me is the man about to blow up his relationship over some whack friend telling him to get a paternity test for his kid. Like how do you not realize that's going to hurt the person you're supposed to love and trust. If my husband did that to me I'd leave to stay with my mother till he sorts himself out....

Like, granted not letting your mom come to your ceremony is absolutely horrible, but if your daughter is crying because no one is going to her once-in-a-lifetime graduation ceremony, you shouldn't just not go so you can "teach her a lesson".
There's a time and place to teach lessons but if she wanted her dad to be there that badly this is clearly an important moment for her. You are literally traumatizing your child because they were an asshole to you after getting manipulated by their dad. The dad not coming to the ceremony was her lesson. She already feels like shit because of it. The mom going to hang out with sister instead is just salt in the wound and tells the daughter that nobody cares about her.
I definitely feel like the daughter has every right not talk to her mom for a while after that, but maybe that's just me.
Agreed! Like that’s the kind of lesson you teach for like a girls night out, not you’re *high school graduation*. She knew no one would be there and still let her daughter go alone. Like you said, she already felt horrible about her dad not going, someone she wanted to share at least one last good moment with, but not only did he bail but so did her mother who she was close with. She’s a horrible mom and should feel like an asshole.

The father because while he just wants whats best for the boyfriend its also very much not his place to tell, plus he doesnt know their relationship like his daughter does and there could be major pieces of information they know that he doesnt that would make their relationship healthier than its pictured here (Ex. the boyfriend could know abt her feelings to an extent and accept that, he couldve noticed her sociopathic behaviour without the label actually being used, she could be overexagerating with not feeling love for others (I know people with mental health issues that very much have done so)) A tough case!
4. NTA/NAH if she hadn't been pregnant it would be a 100% NTA but at the same time I'm assuming a lot of this is pregnancy mood swings? 1. absolutely not i think everyone who thinks they are is crazy😭 it’s not their fault ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT SMELLS AND TASTES NUTTY WTF HOW DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT plus you can’t borrow someone’s lunch you can’t like give that back😭
2. again absolutely not he was such an asshole though like being proud of yourself fine but then only focusing on that and urself and assuming the other person is a cashier because their friend is ??? makes no sense and also you can’t insist to pay for someone then get mad after all that
3. definitely a very tricky issue and i don’t think you can morally win either way but also i think it’s better if the guys knows the truth especially because he’ll probably find out someday so better sooner rather than later like after they get married because that would be a lot worse in a lot of ways but mostly emotionally and financially and also i feel like if he’s really understanding and he really loves her and he understands that she will never feel love for anyone then he can choose to stay with her but also it’s his decision he can choose to stay or leave when he knows idk if that makes sense😭

i think the man who served the pregnant woman virgin cocktails was in the wrong, but i also think he had very good intentions in not wanting the pregnant woman to consume alcohol for fear of fetal alcohol syndrome. he definitely should have just refused to serve her any drinks, and on the surface it is tampering with someone’s order, but i don’t think he should’ve been so unanimously scrutinized the way he was.

That would be a valid concern….IF that was how Fetal alcohol syndrome worked. Most babies that have FASD have mothers who drink heavily/regularly throughout pregnancy. Not have a few drinks.

nah, anyone who thinks the bartender is the asshole is insane. When talking about a reddit story, we're not looking at it legally, but morally. He was morally correct to not give her alcohol, even though he should've told her.
Damn dude, the dad of the daughter with ASPD is a hard one. As someone diagnosed with "Cluster B Personality Disorder NOS" (it's a "not otherwise specified" group of personality disorders than include "multiple of any of the following but none of all of the traits of any of the specific diagnosis" of Anti Social Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder and Histornic Personality Disorder.) This all means I get both the feelings and emotions (or lack there of) of the daughter and how hard it makes dating difficult (I chose not not because even though I've never felt guilt, I do have a measure of empathy for some ppl, spawning from the fact that I have more BPD traits than ASPD probably due to my trauma and the fact that I had a loving family and lots and lots of mental health care from a very young age.) At the same time I understand the dad's quandary. He likes and respects and "feels" for the guy who's in love with her daughter and wants to protect him. Lmao 🤷 well dad's an asshole I guess for this ONE thing, but I'm general, ppl with ASPD are "assholes" in a more general way so I guess IMHO this situation is a wash

oh man, the pregnant wife one is so sad - I know hormones can really throw you through a loop, but that isn't fair on him. If I ever decided I want childeren (it's not my plan at the moment. Kids aren't for me, but who knows. This is a hypothetical.), then I want to get couples therapy before kids, during pregnancy, and after the kid was shart out, even if we didn't have any problems. That's such a big change in your life, I'd imagine counselling is in order regardless.
While the second AITA was hard for a lotta people, I honestly felt it was quite easy for me to determine. I do agree for sure though that the author was in a damned if I do, damned if I don't situation. With that said my verdict is that he wouldn't be the asshole for telling the boyfriend about the fact his daughter is sociopathic. If anything I'd say it should've been thrown out there sooner. Say if the girl and the boyfriend got married. Hiding the fact you're a sociopath is such a huge thing to hide I would say. And sure it might screw up the relationship, but it was established in previous behaviors of the girl, that she doesn't feel love, empathy, or guilt. Hell she was indifferent to her close friend's passing. It might suck, but really she'd be indifferent to it assuming from her past behaviors. And when you think about it, imagine being so crazy for someone love wise and while you pour all your heart into that person, the other person feels a constant indifference to you unless it's sexually. Now not to say she doesn't like his presence, and I don't wanna make it seem like "She's a monster." But realistically, I feel like a disorder like being a sociopath should be mentioned at least once.

The third one was actually the easiest one to make. She is withholding information from her soon to be husband because she’s afraid he’ll leave when he learns (automatically showing that she doesn’t trust him). She then also figures she can just marry him and it will be fine, you’re completely in the right to tell him. It doesn’t matter if she’s your daughter, you’re the main person who should be discouraging that behavior. And if you think otherwise, you’re delusional as hell.

i feel like the guy who changed the locks was kind of being an asshole,i do understand what he was going through and i feel bad for him but his mom didn't leave him and as he said she wasn't neglectful or abusive and she used to express how much she loved him and visited him often,yes she might did some bad/unjustifiable things but i believe he shouldn't just change the locks and basically kick his mom and her family out without informing them in advance because after all she's still his mom and telling her what is he planning to do in the house she's living in with a whole family would've been slightly better to avoid all of the chaos,again his mom made some bad dicisions that i don't support at all but i feel like waiting for them to come back and telling them about what was he planning to do besides getting to know what are they up to and how is their financial state would have been a safer and more rational choice so i think all of them were assholes here.
