- I've seen a lot of rumors and straight up misinformation floating around. Every "confirmation" screenshot I've seen is fake. While I don't want to be cynical, I also don't want people to get their hopes up for nothing.
Hasbro practically said "yeah having the games back would be cool"
It's up to Activision to renew the license, Hasbro gets next to no say in it.

The one thing nobody talks about regarding TFTG, ROTF (any platform) and DOTM, is what was also licensed within the games themselves was the real vehicles and military craft used. So I guess I could see the Cybertron games being re-re-re-ported, but the movie games are probably going to be emulated forever. But an actual full fledged remake would never happen.

Compared to the dozens of other franchises they've acquired, these games are tiny. FOC for example sold less than 400k copies, which is tiny compared to the others.
@@Breadn11it sold poorly at release because there was barely any marketing behind it and zero marketing behind the ported version. Touching up and rereleasing WFC & FOC is about as easy a payday as they can get.
@@jamese3114 WFC didn't even release on current gen systems, and both break at FPS higher than 30. They would have to put a bunch of work into porting them, and fixing these issues.
As well as that, they would have to find a way to get the servers up and running again, and combat the rampant cheater problem. Every lobby had a cheater back in the day, and it would be even worse nowadays with more available information on how.
Toy sales have nothing to do with game sales, not to mention ithey would need a crapton of people buying them to make a profit from the licensing cost, AND Fall Of Cybertron was never really that big of a game, on steam, it had an all time player peak of 900, only 900 players over the course of more than a decade
@@Breadn11but wasn’t FOC ported over to ps4 and Xbox one already? That would give a good jumping off point to porting over the other games, since maybe a decent amount of the problems they faced when porting that game have been addressed already.
I could see it FOC back on current gen since they did get a PS4 and Xbox one silent port. But WFC would have to be reported to currently gen or a PS4 version with backwards compatibility. The game’s time has passed and as much as it hurts to say that it is the truth. We can only hope the next game that is f2p is decent or one of us joins a dev team and make a new game like imsoniac with spider-man.
Yeah, it's possible for them to relist FOC as well. But most people like it because of the multiplayer, which will be a mess for them to setup and moderate. It's also capped at 30fps which most people consider unacceptable for 9th gen.

Vague hasbro announcements, and plus with the Microsoft Activison deal going through. Microsoft said they wanted to bring back older and cancelled Activision titles, so while transformers isn’t guaranteed.
The only thing really stopping them from doing it is weather or not it’d make enough money. However people have been begging for these games to return, and with the state of shitty games coming out of everywhere rn. Bringing back older, better games isn’t a terrible business idea.
Um, Fall of Cybertron doesnt break at above 1080p? I played the whole campaign without problems at 1440p
Must be 4K then. I remember seeing that at higher resolutions, texture streaming completely broke.
Hopefully with Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision we will see these game come back

I could see Microsoft at least making the attempt to bring it back because that would be a great way to get more people on Game Pass since there is a pretty big fan base for Transformers I couldn't see why they wouldn't and also it was on Xbox One and let's be honest Xbox One is basically just the same Hardware
They could come back, maybe I'm not going to hold my breath. Yeah it would be nice but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. There is some new hope since Microsoft now owns Activision and the head of Microsoft said they're free to work on what they're passionate about but I doubt anything will happen. The points you made are valid, when I had ROTDS on 360 and ps4 the textures on ps4 would mess up but it didn't happen on 360, for me anyway.
If Microsoft buys Hasbro, maybe even a Remake could be made, who knows.

Hasbro didn't really mean what they said. They said the generic "yes but no" answer every company gives when directly asked a question

A lot of companies have the code for their games but that doesn't mean they will return.
If the leaks and images are real then they seem to just be relisting the games what would not even require the code to begin with.
@@alumlovescake a lot of companies don’t own the biggest franchise like these ones now that Xbox owns it you will see that. Don’t make a clickbait video acting like they aren’t coming when the other day people in other regions are now being able to search them up on the Xbox store when they didn’t have that before only certain regions had that. The CEO of Xbox Sarah Bond said you can expect the whole slate from Activision titles
• They no longer have the legal license to release the games.
• They have no good way to re-release the 7th generation console games without investing a good amount of money into porting them. So they'd be getting the license again to only re-release FOC, ROTDS, and Devastation.
• These games were extremely easy to exploit in Multiplayer, and it's even easier now with newer modding tools. Unless they invest large amounts of time and money into an anti-cheat, multiplayer is gonna be either basically unplayable due to cheaters or just not brought back at all.
• Nothing about the video is clickbait. I've talked to a lot of people and done a lot of research into it and nothing has ever been said about the games coming back. Every screenshot I've seen is either blatantly fake or some unrelated statement being twisted.

@@Breadn11 And hasbro isn't going to renew the license because they're most likely want people to play their new TF game instead of their old games. TFR has been in development since 2017, bringing back the old tf games would take away any interest from TFR which hasbro sees potential in since they're keeping the game alive after all that has happened with that game

@@Breadn11 there's an article talking about how Hasbro would like the games to return and it's up to Activision if they have the files still stored which they do, so there's a chance they return and soon
@@JustSippingTea No, it's up to Activision to put forward the cash to renew the license, which is very unlikely. That's on top of the costs of remaking the multiplayer servers, and porting the games to next-gen.
