In my opinion, staying fit as a performer is a sign of professionalism, which Max doesn't seem to have.

I love Soulfly. I love max. I love sepultura. And I’m all about family... that being said I can’t deal with Zion as the drummer. I caught then live a few years back in Hollywood and the drumming was so disappointing. Fast forward and the drums still sound terrible. I hate to say it .. but max needs to swap out the drummers. People are paying good money to catch a good show and unfortunately it isn’t one with Zion.
I think he's actually pretty good. Very loose and kinda sloppy, but at least he's intense and hits hard. This is also a bad mix in general, I oeouldnt judge him based on this alone

Its not fair, Rizzo was literally the only thing keeping Soulfly sounding good, Max barely even plays guitar anymore and is too fat and lazy to sing properly. He should have been an equal partner by now.

I think Joe Nunez or David Kinkade were better drummers than Zyon is. If it wasn't for Marc Rizzo on guitar I think Soulfly would struggle and it's a shame because they are one of my favourite bands.

Ironically is this one of the best performances for the last couple of years...his guitar is plugged (Not loud, but plugged) and his vocals are more thight than they were in the years before. It is obvious that Max has to fight with these healthproblems since 2009, but everytime I see a performance until 2008 I wish these old days back too...
The whole thing with Max & crew is one big cash grab charity case. The bass player plays for virtually room and bored, so does the guitarist who basically does it out of respect for Max. It’s do or die for these guys, literally playing in order to put food on the table. You should have invested in retirement Max...
