Diana, Octavian, Daisy, and Rosie are all rare cards! There are a few Facebook groups that are used for trading amiibo cards with other people. You could definitely use one of those four to trade for Lucky! Or you could get a fanmade card of Lucky for a lot cheaper then what he’s selling for. 😊

5:25 so in animal crossing new leaf when we had the RV camp site you could call the holographic cards (like the tortimer ones) to come stay at your campsite to purchase rare items from them. Those cards aren't supported in New Horizons to come to the camp site, but you can scan some of them at Harv's island to get a poster. Once you get your 3 star rating tom nook will say you need a campsite to increase population for kk slider. once you unlock that you can invite them to your campsite. You have to invite the character 3 times, craft the items they ask, and then you can ask them to move in.
i bought just the Pietro amiibo card from someone because he’s my fave 🥺 looks like one more day and then he’ll finally move in. Definitely love ACNH content and would love to see more 🖤

If a card doesn't work then you probably took it off the pad too quickly. Try it again more firmly and it should work. Some of the SP characters can't be called to Photopia but you'll still get a poster.
I just found Daisy on a mystery island tonight she'll be moving in tomorrow, I thought she was cute too! If by furniture cards you mean the RV cards, I'm not sure if they make them anymore, you won't find them in a normal amiibo pack and if you did manage to get them online I don't know if they're even compatible with new horizons cause there's nothing about RV's anywhere the way there was at the campsite in new leaf. I know the sanrio ones definitely don't work in new horizons, I got all 6 (fanmade) for about £10 on ebay but they worked the same as the real ones. I just searched for Lucky's card on ebay hooooly heck that is expensive lol, I'm so glad I got my fav villager at the start of the year (Bluebear) I hope you manage to get him!! If you join some closed animal crossing facebook groups there are always such lovely people to help you out with anything, offering up villagers that they have moving out, you'd maybe have a chance of getting him on there

Just so you know, once you're at your Max villager count you can keep scanning in your Amiibo cards and if you invite them to move in they'll tell you there isn't any room for them but they'll ask if you want them to replace one of your current villagers!
You can go to the nook stop to use the cards too. They will come to your campsite and if you have a free lot on your island you can ask them to move in.
It’s my first time using amiibo cards too. I bought Katie and it was shiny..found out the hard way that you can’t get them in the game. But I have Mitzi, Rosie and Merry for my island. I can’t wait! I also want to get Kid Cat too
A lot of older NPCs are not in New Horizons BUT you can scan them in Photopia on Harv's island and you get a poster of them through Nook Shopping, I tried scanning Blanca and Katie but it said they couldn't be invited :( I also scanned the Sanrio themed amiibo cards and they couldn't be invited either

all the amiibo characters are in new horizons, i think the reason they might not have read is because youre supposed to hold the card down for a little longer than you did. the holographic cards are NPC characters from past AC games.

My fave villager Biskit moved out of my new leaf town and I was so sad I cried and my husband bought me his amiibo card as a surprise so I could have him move back 🥺. I immediately used the card to make Biskit move row my new horizons town!
If you struggle to get lucky, you can buy some NFC readers for cheap and easily add him to them yourself! ALSO important to note, with the amiibos you can kick literally anyone out and replace them. So if you get the lucky amiibo and are at your max, you can kick someone else out for Lucky! hope this helps! I have a lot of RV cards and they aren't compatible with this game so dont bother looking into them, for sure.
Pretty sure there is or at least I've seen one in German so there is probably a English version out too. People are putting everything on the internet too though just like they did with the other games so might not be necessary to get the book.

If you want to invite lucky to your town, you can buy a hand-made Amiibo card/coin from Etsy (a lot of sellers make them) and you should be able to get a Lucky for a lot cheaper than buying his Nintendo brand Amiibo card from a reseller on Ebay, or just hoping to get him in blind packs. You could also just wait for him to possibly be on an island tour, or show up in your campsite.... but I found that I was too impatient for that, lol! I just got some handmade ones from someone on Etsy and they work just like regular Amiibos!!
I wish that marshal wasnt so hard to find or expensive, I really want his card so I'll have to try to find him when I actually get new horizons and maybe I'll find raymond as well

If you want a specific villager card, buy from AliExpress. I got merengue and stitches for $4 each, normally they go for a lot on eBay.

You can always force unwanted villagers out as you can negotiate with a villager and they will move out for the amiibo.
