    Why c4 pathway came in evolutions rather than using c3 pathway?

      Because the dicot plants which exhibit Kranz anatomy photosynthesis through this pathway which can withstand more or less CO2 concentrations and these plants don't participate in wasteful process called photo respiration.
      Exapmles:sugarcane,maize,sorghum etc .

      Because high light intensity due to stomata partially closed resulting CO2 deficiency occurred . Resulting photorespiration ( C2 cycle) and it is not good for long time because plant loss 25% CO2 so that plants made adoptation to avoid photorespiration (C2, cycle) in place that plant use C4 cycle.
