  • Miyazaki Mangoes have a red and vibrant skin with yellow spots speckled over the fruit. The flesh is orange in colour and tender filled with strong mango aroma. The farmers in Miyazaki will place a net under each mango. While the mangoes are naturally ripped, they will fall into the net.

There are other varieties too...Maalda, Dasahree, Himgiri and Chausa. Actually, Alphonso is quite overrated. I bet the above ones which I mentioned is far better than Aphonso. For eg. Himgiri mango has a great aroma and essence, Chausa is sweeter like sugarfree tablets, Malda has an excellent taste and Dashari is unique in its mild taste. I have all these trees in my home itself. New flowers blooming these days, 3 more months and ready to taste them 😋😋😋

      Sweet Amanda, in the Lake
Wonder how much She can take
Cut Her finger, take her ring
Bruise her up, black as sin
Shoot Her down, blind her eye
      Bury Her in the night.
See the arms, shake in fear
Here She is, Amanda is here.
A woman named Amanda married a therapist. A patient of this therapist was obsessed with him and jealous of Amanda, so She kidnapped her, took her to Sorren lake, in Cascada Mira Park, and tortured, blinded, shot and buried her, and also She stole her engagement ring after cutting off the finger. The cops found Amanda bc She tried to crawl out of her grave and died with only the arms sticking out of the mud. Since she didn't want to be forgotten, Amanda came back as an image. As a vengace, a photo of Amanda must be shared in order to avoid being killer or haunted by her.

Here in Brazil we have our mango trees in the backyard... completely organic and free. I really wound't pay $ 70 for a mango. During the season we usually pay less than US$ 1 a kg of mango. Of course our mangoes can't be like these ones from Japan, but they are the same we export worldwide, that means the quality is excelent.

This kind of production appears very costly and involves huge manual effort. In south India, the climate is best for natural growth of mango trees. Those mangoes bear different taste at different stages. Baby mangoes duly salted for days, are used with gruel or dishes. some more grown up mangoes are used for preparing pickles or added in vegetable and fish curries as they have a taste of tamarind then. The ripe one is used for consumption as such or for extracting juice. In certain homes, they prepare some kind of dishes using the pulp during festival days.

Boasting aside, I eat mangoes almost everyday the whole year round because I live in a Tropical Country, the Philippines where the best tasting mangoes are grown. Try it sometime and prove to yourself that the Guinness Book Of World Records is right in judging that the Philippine Mangoes are the best in the world.

@Suherman Maman Yes it may be true that some mango varieties are really cheap and are equally good. The question is the taste that could qualify to be the best or supreme among all varieties. As I said in my previous comment, the best judge/s are the neutral ones, the Guinness Book of World Records. Anybody can check its records which mangoes were given the Award for the best tasting mangoes around the world.
