I used to live with my grandparents. They never had a childhood therefore they didn’t like me playing video games... I remember this being one of the first games I got back in 2005 when I was 6 years old. Every time my grandparents were not home I would rush to play this game but sadly I didn’t have a memory card. So everyday I could get to play I would try to beat the game beginning from zero. I tried to just paused the game and let it on overnight but the GameCube would just make noise and they would fount out about the console being left on. I never got to beat the game as it never turned back on one day, probably from overheating. So many good memories tho. Nice to see the gameplay!

I'm with you, this game was something special to me when I grew up. I played it on my Nintendo game cube, and loved it. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore, but I can say I've have wonderful memories playing and experiencing the game in hand.
She talks in the intro of Galaxy 1 and in 64 too. I think Sunshine Peach is my favourite version of Peach. She looks real nice in this game. The ponytail parasol combo.

My young son and I, finally completed this on the GameCube today after playing it on and off for three years. We got so frustrated we'd vow never to come back, but it kept drawing us in and we eventually beat it. A gaming odyssey my son and I will remember for years to come!

@@o.portista but polishing it up should be the least they could do. The original game is flawed with glitches and some bad gameplay decisions. Fixing that and add the extra content that was originally planned would be so cool

I love how when you fell into the abyss in the secret missions, the game made a buzzing sound and wouldn't let you enter the pause menu to quit the level. It forced you to endure the shame of the TOO BAD!
I still own the original game and had all 120 Sprites. I remember when I got this for Christmas the year it came out. Though not as iconic as SM64, Sunshine aged well. Bowser Jr really had his first and most notorious shot here. Such a historic moment, including Petey Piranha. But I don't care what people say, the cutscenes with voice acting is freaking AWESOME! I wish Nintendo would bring that back.

I can't believe i just finished watching the whole video! This brings joy to my life knowing that i can see amazing talent finish the entire game in an enjoyable and humorous way. There were many OMG moments that my heart was racing cause of excitement. I give this video a perfect 5/5!! Loved it!!
So many fond memories flooding back.. this game was so important to me. A wonderful escape. Now I’m fast forwarding to catch a glimpse of each level, to bring myself back to childhood. Amazing!

Now that I'm 33, I play this on Super Mario 3D All Stars, which is a collection game that I bought 4 months prior, also having Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy on it as well!!!! A true blessing!!!!

I remember almost 15-16 years ago my sister was playing this game and I asked “who’s that guy with the red hat ? “ and she goes that’s “Super Mario” And then the rest was history . This was the very first Mario game I’ve ever played and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
@@massir7769 It was more powerful than PS2, but less powerful than Xbox. Still a beast of a console. Many games on the GameCube (like this one) couldn't even run on a PS2 or Xbox. PS2 was pretty underpowered (on the same level with Dreamcast, a console from 1998 lol). Xbox was a more refined PC. It was a tehnically more powerful than the little Cube, but the Cube had far better optimization. The same thing seems to happen with Xbox Series X and PS5.

@@massir7769 this + the fact that they age much better. Mario 3D world and the Galaxy games still look great despite being on less powerful consoles. Most games on the other platforms are hyper realistic, and they tend to age quite badly. Hopefully we will reach that level when 3D graphics will be almost on par with reality. Oh and I didn't mention Sunshine and Wind Waker. Nintendo proved that even with a lot of power the more simple the game looks, the better it ages.
I remember watching this game's commercial on TV somewhere in Florida at a random hotel with my mom. I recently asked my mom if she remembered that moment and wow, this game was so amazing to me apparently it overshadowed the fact that were in Florida for my only time to go to Disney World in my life thus far (but Im hopeful for a future opportunity)

I was diagnosed with t1d when I was 4, and I'm 24 now. I remember going into the little play area they always had for kids and playing this on the game cube for hours... my mom would be so upset over the whole diagnosis but I escaped partially by playing this game the whole time I was there. And then really every time after that that I was admitted, which was a lot in my younger years. Seeing this makes me emotional to my core
My mom took me to target as a kid when I was about 4 or 5 and bought me my first GameCube in 03 or 04 with Mario sunshine. The Nostalgia with this game is real this and sonic heroes
While I was waiting for the switch to come out two years ago, I wanted to play some Nintendo games I never played before to help pass the time. so I bought this game. Absolutely amazing game!
Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine are my favorites out of the series! As innovative with 3D animation as Mario 64 was, Sunshine's level designs are even larger, more detailed, more imaginative and more beautiful. Noki Bay and Pinna Park are some of my faves.
This game is pushing nearly two decades in age and still looks incredible.

One of my most favorite video games of all time!!!! I was 14 when I first got this one, and played it day and night. Now that I'm 33, I play this on Super Mario 3D All Stars, which is a collection game that I bought 4 months prior, also having Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy on it as well!!!! A true blessing!!!!

Am I the only who feels like the Nokis are such an underrated Mario NPC species? There so nice and chill and have a surprising amount of artistic variety!
I remember almost 15-16 years ago my sister was playing this game and I asked “who’s that guy with the red hat ? “ and she goes that’s “Super Mario” And then the rest was history . This was the very first Mario game I’ve ever played and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
I loved this game so much, the reason why I loved this game was because the Jetpack mechanic was so different than the other Super Mario games
Honestly, the music is so relaxing along with audio, it made me doze off.

This game was so beautiful and still is! The GameCube was such an underrated console! It had way better graphics than the PS2 and Xbox.
Well it didn't have better graphics "power-wise", it's just the aesthetic was cleaner because most games weren't going for a super realistic feel.
The xbox was the most powerful, but nintendo used ALL of the Gamecube's power for this game, and it really shows
@@massir7769 It was more powerful than PS2, but less powerful than Xbox. Still a beast of a console.
Many games on the GameCube (like this one) couldn't even run on a PS2 or Xbox. PS2 was pretty underpowered (on the same level with Dreamcast, a console from 1998 lol). Xbox was a more refined PC. It was a tehnically more powerful than the little Cube, but the Cube had far better optimization. The same thing seems to happen with Xbox Series X and PS5.
@@link5605 ya I guess, although my point is that most Nintendo games look nicer (especially on Wii) even though it's an underpowered console because the aesthetic is cleaner.
@@massir7769 this + the fact that they age much better. Mario 3D world and the Galaxy games still look great despite being on less powerful consoles. Most games on the other platforms are hyper realistic, and they tend to age quite badly. Hopefully we will reach that level when 3D graphics will be almost on par with reality.
Oh and I didn't mention Sunshine and Wind Waker. Nintendo proved that even with a lot of power the more simple the game looks, the better it ages.

I remember watching this game's commercial on TV somewhere in Florida at a random hotel with my mom. I recently asked my mom if she remembered that moment and wow, this game was so amazing to me apparently it overshadowed the fact that were in Florida for my only time to go to Disney World in my life thus far (but Im hopeful for a future opportunity)

Childhood memories, glad I got my gamecube, tbh if they were to re-make it I feel like it would take its rep, cause this game is literally legendary. Nothing will ever beat the classic gamecube and sunshine, it was so exclusive and fun. Making it modern would destroy its rep.
Honestly, I remember playing this game with you so many times. I'll never forget the day we completeted it as kids man, mainly when you did lmao. The amount of memeories this created and how nostaglic it is. Nothing will ever compare to games like these now. This game is literally undescribable Just top tier shit. If you had a gamecube you had to have SUNSHINE on it. Literally this was what brought us joy as kids, to distract us from the rough parts of life. Nice seeing you here.

Literally typed in this game at 2am..the childhood memories I had with this is unforgettable..
I was diagnosed with t1d when I was 4, and I'm 24 now. I remember going into the little play area they always had for kids and playing this on the game cube for hours... my mom would be so upset over the whole diagnosis but I escaped partially by playing this game the whole time I was there. And then really every time after that that I was admitted, which was a lot in my younger years. Seeing this makes me emotional to my core

While I was waiting for the switch to come out two years ago, I wanted to play some Nintendo games I never played before to help pass the time. so I bought this game. Absolutely amazing game!
I love how Shadow Mario gets hurt when you spray him with water but he can swim just fine.

Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine are my favorites out of the series!
As innovative with 3D animation as Mario 64 was, Sunshine's level designs are even larger, more detailed, more imaginative and more beautiful. Noki Bay and Pinna Park are some of my faves.
