I studied medicine in Poznan some years ago and had a classmate who was Ghanaian-Polish. She was (and still is) very proud of her Ghanaian and Polish ancestry.

@@afropeanmonika Many have negative stories because many are stories of lust coming from the man and then the naive white woman being dropped quickly after a short-term fling. And then the child growing up being hated by the mothers white family.

Interesting storytime, Monika! What they did was definitely not OK but if you are conditioned to brush these things off you just roll with it 🤷🏽♀️. Also, in EE culture back in a day a young person would be quite shy to challenge authorities, even employers. We did not have the Gen Z swag 😂
Thank you for the comment. :) I didn't lack the confidence to challenge things; I challenged where they had us change and a few other things I didn't like. I had good results, too. When it comes to the misrepresentation, though, I just didn't know it was a thing, so I went along with it --- thinking their way of advertising was smart, funny and creative. Ignorance was bliss, I guess. :)

Yes, I know about Johny and might explore his and other suggested works at some point in the future. However, I do have other content plans for the next few months. We listen to some of what our Brother vanguard says. He seems to have a well-modulated, thoughtful, honest perspective. HoweVer, it is difficult to genuinely listen to him, knowing that he utilises the derogatory "m" slur to refer to himself. It's his prerogative, and he doesn't have to explain (to be honest, we are uninterested in any explanation. we already know the pains and chains of these words, even in the nuanced post-democracy era).
