Was the Mechanicum officially called "Adeptus" by the onset of Horus Heresy? I could have sworn that they only recognized themselves as nonequal partner of Imperium after they lost Mars to Dark Mechanicum
That story is from 1993, second edition, and for a long time the only detailed account of the Siege. The factions and fluff, even the naming, were a lot more fluid and predated modern Horus Heresy by about a decade at the least. I kinda miss that it's-all-lies-and-propaganda social contract and fluidity; the discussion was encouraged and you weren't shouted down for preferring fanon/head canon over verbatim citing that Iliad for Dummies which HH became over the 20 years of milking.
As @dylytant stated, it's a story by William King written long before GW began the HH book series, thus lots of things were a bit different, naming conventions being one of them. I was slightly sad that Sang never broke a bloodthrister over his knee in front of the chaos horde as he had done in this story when reading the new siege series...
@@TheRedKing40ki think the blood thirster was replaced by Ka'Bandha as he is a bloodthirster Or Angron as that happens later in front of his legion and the demons, in the air for all to see
@silent_stalker3687 can I ask how new lore wise books like first wall and mortis are? I'm halway through mortis and was wondering if it's fairly new in terms of lore.
I listen to a lot of WH 40K stuff and really like narration of stories I’ve never heard. I liked this video so I checked your channel and it appears that 2 videos are up and 3 are set to private. Is that a RUclips or possibly copyright issue? Can’t wait for more
Just working ahead of schedule; I'll release content Sunday Afternoon UK time, the next two weeks of videos are already uploaded but private until release :)
@@TheRedKing40k Hmm. if they only went to Ikea for some affordable STC Trones they could have had five for the price of one. (But noooo it had to be a custom made gold one...)
Can’t wait for this content to get the love it deserves
Instant subscribe upon seeing 40k in the title and hearing the voice.
Thanks Matt!!
Damn how the lore has changed
Love this, thank you for the work!
Glad you enjoy it!

Yes, iirc it was replaced by him defeating Angron which was all fine I guess, but I missed it

Excellent work sir
Thanks Mark!
Very well done! I'm sure you will do great things!
Such heresy a necron wearing sacred armour

SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE
I don't think Dorn would have been leading his warriors in prayer in 30k... It's fascinating how the lore has developed over the years.
I just picked up a copy of Index Astartes: Apocrypha and I kind of miss the whole idea that each chapter has had their own cult since their formation.
Indeed! Aha, and notice how the Throne wasn't even built yet, oh how things change
The prayer might have just been the Imperial Truth
Sick
Praise the Grandfather!
still my headcanon.
🔥🎸🔥
Cut early or does it end that abrupt?
Nono that is how it ends, notice the Throne wasn't even built at this point :)
@@TheRedKing40k Yeah in the new lore the throne was already built and some special man sat there in the emperor stead........

@LilacMage they should've just went to Space Etsy
I appreciate the effort but your inability to pronounce words such as Mech-an-i-cus kills it for me
Sangwinus? Bro, wtf? You mispronounce so many things....
The names used to be slightly different. The Lions name Johnson used to be Ghonson
