Nope, just a coincidence. Upon the last Hellenic World video a friend messaged me saying that that region was still dominated by Berbers back then and an Arab state wouldn't last long.
I know they use a different one in our current world, but this is alternate history. Not everything is exactly the same as it used to be and those flags aren't random either, I found that one somewhere on a wikipedia page.
