Max started this nonsense 2 seasons ago and has since had to modify his statements. His original statement was that Tom Brady would "fall off the cliff" in 18 months. I believe that was 2 summers ago. Now he has to clean it up as much as possible until Tom's play declines in which max will say "AHA, I told you so"
John Berry I feel like 2 seasons ago Max said Brady will fall off of the cliff when he hits 40 saying no qb has been elite at 40, and has just modified it slightly over and over.
July 28th, 2016 - As the Patriots are preparing to the start the season with Tom Brady suspended for 4 games, Max stated "Tom Brady will be a bum in short order." He went on to say that it may be the next game or it may be one year from then (ie begining of 2017 season), Brady's game will fall off a cliff. On May 1st, 2018, Max is trying to argue that he was talking about the 2018 season when he was CLEARLY talking about the 2017 season. Mind you, Brady just set the single-game postseason passing yards record in the Superbowl, against one of the top 3 defenses in the league. Max was wrong by a full year, even if Brady is somehow trash this year.
Max is not wrong for saying that Brady will fall off the cliff. He will, it's only a matter of time. Father time is undefeated... But he is wrong on the time frame. He gave him like 2-3 years last year or the year before, whenever it was. Clearly, hasn't fallen off, yet...
Al Capwned see that’s the problem with the statement. He could have said he’s on the “decline” but instead he said he’s “fall of of a cliff” which implies it’d happen very fast. Come on bro, Max is trying way to hard to pretend like he’s on to something.
No he did not give him 2-3 years...if he gave him that much time no one would have thought it was so crazy...he said “he’ll be terrible by the middle of next season” talking about this past season
Well it’s obvious that eventually he’ll be bad, but that’s a given he won’t be playing till he’s 60 or anything but max is just way off on the timetable
He said this shit in 2016 in like his first segment on this show he said and I quote, “Tom Brady is just about done. It could be the next game he plays, it could be a year from now, but he is going to fall off a cliff.”
Since Max' cliff prediction: Brady made it to 3 Superbowls and won 2 of them. He also won a Superbowl MVP and a regular season MVP. He has thrown for 106 Touchdowns and 27 interceptions and around 16,000 yards.
Graham Hargreaves All 3 losses Tom Brady led a drive to take the lead with a couple minutes left on the clock. He threw for 500+ yards in his last loss. Also 2/3 losses were with a 31st ranked defense and a 29th ranked defense. I bet you couldn’t even name one other QB who’s made the Super Bowl with a 31st ranked overall defense in NFL history. If you think it was his fault they lost to the Eagles, you’re delusional as fuck. 😂
Molly is lowkey head over heels in love with Max I swear . You can tell by how she looks/smiles at him or how she tends to agree with him on almost every single topics ...she is in love with Max
My god does Max want too see Brady decline. I get that he is a New York sports fan so he does not like Boston sports, but he could at least try to be subtle about it.

Sense Max Kellerman has said Tom Brady will be a BUM in short order almost 2 years ago Tom Brady has won a Super Bowl and was in the Super Bowl the next year throwing for 505 yards in Superbowl and NFL MVP at 40 turning 41 😂😂😂
iT'S BEEN A GREAT RUN! We have enjoyed watching the greatest quarterback in NFL history for 17 seasons. Whatever we may from now on is gravy. I'm thinking he has 2 more great years, but if Max is right, Brady has already done more with less than anyone else ever. GOAT.
It you go back to when Max made his cliff statement, he said in 2016 that Tom Brady would call off that year or the next year, which was this past season. Clearly, Max was wrong as Brady made to back to back superbowls, won the 2017 mvp, and set a superbowl record for passing yards, so no matter what, Max has been proven wrong in his statement
Well, I must say the Max was sort of right, and unlike Stephen A and Will (who I usually agree with most of the time, I like Will), I always understood it to be after the 2017/2018 season. And Tom Brady hasn’t really been Tom Brady this last season. He’s DEFINITLEY not a bum, and I’m not even sure he fell of the cliff, but all I can say is that he hasn’t been as good this season as he always is. That is all. Go Tom Brady. I hope you win it all this year!
Max is horrible wrong so far but imagine Brady becomes an INT machine next year, the bet isn’t over yet and they’re already laughing at him as if the unexpected hasn’t happened before
Nick Foles Fan Club the bet's over already dumbass, he said "Brady will fall off a cliff in 18 months" in July of 2016, damn near 2 yrs ago. He was the best damn player BY FAR in the Super Bowl 3 months ago

Max has been saying Tom Brady is falling off a cliff for years!! Well before he joined First Take he's been saying the same shit. Every year he is wrong every year he says oh i meant he is falling off the cliff next year. It's just embarrasing
Generic Super Bowl viewer: “Wow!! Tom Brady has won 6 Super Bowls!?” Avid NFL viewer: “Yeah, but Max Kellerman says he’s going to fall off a cliff, next season.” Generic Super Bowl viewer: “Who’s Max Kellerman? And why is he jumping off of a cliff? Did Tom Brady beat his team or something?”
Here is how I see it. : Stephen A is the boss. It's his show, but he has 3 ambitious journalists, who are gunning for his spot, as the alpha debater. As a result, Stephen A has to be mindful of other aspects of "corporate culture(Climbing up the ladder)". The crew has the potential to gang on him, because it is 3 v.1. So being aware of this, he must form an alliance with his co-host, Max Kellerman. Now, Max and Stephen have a contentious relationship. In terms of having the inside scoop, Stephen A offers the most insight on certain topics. This is his strength. However, Max has tended to be a fairly better analytic mind. He breaks things down in more 1+1= 2, which is his strength, but because of this fails to the bigger picture on this. Stephen A, knows that in a pure debate, Max would win, so he must remind everyone why he is the big dog from time to time. He does this by pointing out the fact that Max is too nearsighted, mostly in a ridiculing way (Which Max counters with dry sarcasm). The other co-hosts must sit there and take it, because Stephen A is their boss. Don't upset the boss. (If you've read this far, relax...there's a lot more) So when Stephen A offers Max an alliance, when Will Cain is present, he treats him a little bit more as a peer than a subordinate. Max must take this deal, because why not ingratiate yourself with the boss after all? Who knows if you will be offered more control over the show as a reward? So once they team up, it is 2v2- co-hosts, versus young bloods. Stephen A is now more secure. Max is closer to the top. Then we have Molly, the true Achilles heel to Stephen A. Why? Because she is a woman. Due to the hot water Stephen A has been in, as a result of prior "controversial statements" he has made, Molly has spotted a unique kink in Stephen A's amour. He can't critique her too harshly for interjecting as the moderator, as it may be deemed sexist for him to do so. So, as a result, Molly gets away with more time to debate the hosts, and build her brand as sports analyst, not just a pretty face. I believe she aspires to go host and be show-runner for her own gig. Stephen A can't form an alliance with her, as this would make her too powerful and threaten his position. (Oh! you are still here?....well let's go further down the rabbit hole) Next, there is Will Cain. He is relatively unknown, compared to the two other hosts. In fact, he lost the contest for Max's current position. Will Cain is pissed. He has a chip on his shoulder, and goes out to prove why he is better than his rival, and his boss who told him no. Will Cain knows that the other two hosts would love to validate 1) the decision to choose Max from both perspectives. He knows it will be tough, so he must go on the full offensive. He calls Stephen A and Max out, all the time with an "I'm not scared of you guys!" attitude. He brings up criticisms of SAS and Max that the silent public tends to make note of, a lot. SAS and Max both feel the burn, but they respond to it differently. Max becomes defensive, and and nervous, and tends, while Stephen seems upset and goes on the offensive. Max secedes the fight for poll position, and lets the boss get real with the kids. This is where Stephen A smith turns into Stephen AA Smith. He gets savage, and checks his subordinates with some "Don't think I don't know your intentions, and if you keep playing with the fire, you will get burned"...."The lord giveth, and the lord taketh away" Stephen A restores his position atop the mountain peak, and the rest of the wolves wait for the hunt tomorrow. -The Politricks of ESPN First Take... The Saga to be continued
In July 2016 ,Kellerman said, "could be his next GAME he plays, could be a year." And, he's "this close, off the cliff." July 2016. Also, "either this year or next" and "could be six months." "Will be a bum in short order." What really happened is Brady won the next Super Bowl and should have won the next one, leading to today, 2018. Kellerman has no credibility; he has only exposed himself as a know-nothing Brady hater. Who could possibly be surprised?
Max is being unfairly maligned. After Brady first said he wanted to play to his mid 40's, most journalists accepted it without questioning. Max was merely pointing out at that time that this was very unlikely. In this he is probably right. However well he played last season, every knows Wentz would have walked away with the MVP had he not got injured.
I don't know if it's technologically possible, but they really need to try to fix this 1 second delay that everyone is on. Just leads to tons of awkward pauses, followed by 3 people talking at the same time. Makes for a lower quality show.
Don't let this distract you that NBA made a best of 7 game playoff series to earn big bucks instead of making it one and done. Those postgame interview are getting annoying. "We just didn't come up with great energy. We will be better the next game"
Yannick Bryant What about MLB and the NHL? They have 7 game series too, the best team will win a series but a team can luck up in a one and done situation so stop with ur nonsense.....
Yannick Bryant You're not wrong about the post-game interviews. Most of the players are painful to listen to; their skills are balling, not public speaking. CP3 and Harden just make sarcastic remarks most of the time like "I'm good, what do you want me to say?".
Your assuming every series always goes to 7 games. And the NBA is different from football, it's not as much wear and tear in a game. Pointless comment is Pointless 🤷🏿♂️
Brady could throw for 4000 Yards, have 28 Passing TDs, 7 INT's, a 63% completion percentage, win 11-12 games, win the division and lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs and Max would claim he's "Less than himself" even though those are great numbers for a QB playing at the age of 41.... He left it open ended again to "win" his hot take.
Obviously every player gets older and it is inevitable that retirement will come but it is stupid to bring that up. Brady knows his own limits and until he decides to stop playing, Max needs to keep his mouth shut about this topic
This season will go like this, brady is going to start off on fire. At the mid season point he will be the favorite for mvp. Injuries will happen to his line and receivers and his numbers will dip a bit. Somewhere late in the season he will pull off a game that they need and will get home field advantage for the playoffs. They will win a trip to the superbowl where they will face a better team. If belichick doesn't do what he did in last years superbowl they will win.
Max has been talking about falling off the cliff since he got on the show since then Brady is 1-1 in the Superbowl has one Superbowl MVP and one NFL MVP
Obviously Brady won't play until he's 60, but max is back and forowth. Tom Brady will never be" terrible" he won't play if he sucks, he wouldn't play if he couldn't play at his best. The dude won mvp at 40! Where is this cliff?! Did Montana, Marino, Manning, play like this well at 40 years old? C'mon man this dude is the GOAT!
Max predicts the cliff in August 2016. Since then: 2 Super Bowl appearances, 1 Super Bowl win. A league MVP and a Super Bowl MVP.
The man is a hater
*Update : 3 Super bowl appearances LOL*
Add another one 😂
This is hysterical.. see you all again next year!! 😂😂😂😂
3 appearances and 2 wins
Will Cain: “This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains”
Will: "This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains."
😂😂😂
Brady can play till he is basically 50 and suck on that year and max would say the cliff is here I knew it would happened!! -___-
@Kevin Woods not true you obviously dont watch the pats play #h8r
Max never admits he is wrong. Thats why i dont like this dude.
He did admit he was wrong about the Pelicans the other day. But both of these guys are honestly just clowns
Danyal Kazmi no he just said they still have a chance to win game 2 and the rest of the games
Danyal Kazmi don't watch then bitch!!!
Silent Noise Max is kinda right
Silent Noise real talk. Both of these dudes are clowns. Undisputed is so much better
Max being called on all his bs lately
he is annoying.
yes and i love it!
Y
Replace max with will immediately Stephen a and will going at it all the time would be gold
Michael Dowd Exactly
I been saying this!
Max is trash. Will more interesting
I pretty much never missed an episode when bayless was on for how many years it was on, now I just watch occasional clips on youtube
Deshawn Dodd yes!!! Definitely agree with you haha. And yeah all i watch is some occasional youtube videos now
I think the show is at its best when all 3 of them are on at the same time tbh
This is not a good week for max, this shit happens when you always looking at the numbers.
Lmao SAS and Molly about to throw hands after the show
I'm glad Max said that because Tom has been to every Superbowl ever since !!!
Max started this nonsense 2 seasons ago and has since had to modify his statements. His original statement was that Tom Brady would "fall off the cliff" in 18 months. Chris Tucker yes that was part of his diatribe that included the 18 month mark which would have been Tom turning 40

Daniel Peer yeah. I have this saying about max. Max's point of view is say the same thing every day, be wrong every day, until hes finally right.
Chris Tucker - I cannot imagine why anyone cares enough about Kellerman's opinion to regularly watch this show.
Max looked sad as hell

No he did not give him 2-3 years...if he gave him that much time no one would have thought it was so crazy...he said “he’ll be terrible by the middle of next season” talking about this past season
lamakicker69 u are right all they have to do is play back a few segments and they will see i don't know why Molly lying for max
Well it’s obvious that eventually he’ll be bad, but that’s a given he won’t be playing till he’s 60 or anything but max is just way off on the timetable
Max doesn't know anything about sports besides boxing.
Spidey7747 its true all this show has done has made him look bad
Will Cain easily the better debater than this kook
exactly. typical white boy sports fan running his mouth about shit he dont know.
Even boxing he doesn’t know it all either!
Wow, a roughly 104 passer rating over the last 3 regular seasons
2:50"This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains" will is savage
"I did the calculations and said it would be the end of the season instead of the middle" boy this man Max is something else when it comes to Brady
The One and Only I know right
Will - "This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains" hahaha best line ever.
Max Annoying
Not nearly as bad as Will Cain.
for real bro cant stand him
Back to the Super Bowl with a win
does ESPN know what a roast is?
Tom is the goat
Nicole Perry undeniable. He beat my jags. I’m salty about it, but Tom is still the goat.
Tom Brady lost to a back up ;)
Thanks for the ring though.
Graham Hargreaves NFL GOAT
Graham Hargreaves All 3 losses Tom Brady led a drive to take the lead with a couple minutes left on the clock. He threw for 500+ yards in his last loss. Montana is the goat
Max: “when the Pats win, it’s in spite of TB”
Max: “when the Pats lose, it’s because of TB”
"you don't care about that when it's 2 on 1 against me!"- Stephen A.
FYI Tom Brady won the Super Bowl this year. We’ll see if Max prediction extends another year
This segment was comedy 😂😂😂
It's 2019 and in two weeks, Brady is back in the Super Bowl. They need to revisit his predictions. LOL

Molly needs to talk less
Rammel Ceri Like no microphone.
Rammel Ceri leave Molly alone how dare you
Rammel Ceri I appreciate you share the same view, yes she irritates me too.
Max is fuming!! I love it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They got My boy Max almost in tears 😂😂
Max got schooled so bad today lol!!! I’ve waited 18 months to see this clip lol!!! Was worth the wait lol!!!
Tom Brady battle a tough CLIFF. Tom Brady won 6 RINGS on top of a tough CIFF. Mission complete.
2:48 Molly’s so proud of this one
Max...just stop giving Brady a timeline of when he will "drop off", just enjoy his greatness while you still can
he doesn't he just wants his boys Eli and Rodgers to rule the NFL since he sucks them off so often. particularly Aaron Rodgers.
Uzuvira Mujahere He only gives the timeline because will and Stephen a constantly bring it up
"Max Kellerman would rather somebody take a fork and stab him in his chest before he admits he's wrong" I fucking died 💀💀😂😂😂😂

kellerman: *admits to moving the deadline for the brady cliff*
also kellerman: i am where i've been the entire time
"Ooo ooo ooo I even remember her name, we used to call her jawbone"- Bernie mac house party 3.
Stephen A. Is hilarious
LOL @ Will: "Maybe the 'cliff' is a step down."
Max Kellerman was a terrible choice to replace the great Skip Bayless!
ESPN needs to find a superstar who can team up with Stephen A.
Max is horrible wrong so far but imagine Brady becomes an INT machine next year, the bet isn’t over yet and they’re already laughing at him as if the unexpected hasn’t happened before
Nick Foles Fan Club im still holding that top 20 QB list over there heads going into the 2014 season that had Brady #15
brady is still going to produce but only way this so called "off the cliff" happens is if brady gets injured
Nick Foles Fan Club the bet's over already dumbass, he said "Brady will fall off a cliff in 18 months" in July of 2016, damn near 2 yrs ago. He was the best damn player BY FAR in the Super Bowl 3 months ago
VT 24 but he wasn't nick foles was
Hanz C I agree they just need to stop trying to predict it they have been trying for about 5yrs now
Just drop it Max it’s never going to happen, the guy is literally God....
Michael Scott metaphorically
Michael Scott He’s no Aaron Rodgers. Everyone with an decent IQ knows that Rodgers is definitely more talented than Brady.
Steve Gerrard Pats fan and i️ agree with you 100%. Tom still a god though
Steve Gerrard both are superior at different things but imo brady is way ahead of Rodgers esp mentally and reading defenses
Steve Gerrard more talented doesn’t mean better
They been callin my nigga tf out lately. Where's the boxing segments?😭😂
Maybe the cliff was a step down. Not like ah big drop 🤣🤣🤣 Will hell
Brady > Montana!
I am writting down your quotes Max. Keep pushing the limit every time.
July 28th 2016
Tom Brady’s just about done it could be his next game he plays it could be a year from now but he is going to fall of a cliff Tom Brady is going to be a bum in short order
Next Game of 2016 or Start Season 2017
October 3rd 2016
Here’s the thing I told you before the season started Tom Brady was gonna fall of a cliff at some point in the next 18 months it’s down about 15 or 16 months that’s exactly what’s gonna happen now I don’t think it’s gonna be in the first half of this season it could be in the second half of the season sometimes in the middle of next year but it will certainly absolutely take it to the bank happen.
Second Half of 2016 or Middle of 2017
May 17th 2017
Tom Brady is gonna fall of a cliff. Last season I gave him 18 months from the beginning of last season (…) This upcoming season for however long he is elite this season I expect him to start the season has a elite player that’s it for Tom Brady at a elite level
First half of 2017
October 11th 2017
I thought we saw the beginning of the cliff in the superbowl last year (…) The cliff is coming be certain of that it will happen exactly when I told you when it’s gonna happened he has this year including this postseason left in front of him then he ain’t going to be Tom Brady anymore.
End of the Season 2017 including the Postseason
May 1st 2018
I am in the same place I have always been. Whick is it was possible that Brady could be Brady through this past superbowl that was the outside limit of the possibility that’s now been used up. If he is good this year, I would have been wrong, if he is not the same Tom Brady I would have been right.
Beginning of 2018
Charles Ferron good to know someone is keeping track of this nonsense. Dude has such a problem admitting he’s wrong about this.
May 1 2018*
please edit to Oct 3rd, not "3th"
Great post though.
He should be fired for this assessment
That smirk on Will Cain's face lmao
Max should be banned from talking basketball.
There is a video from Jul 2016 where he says not this coming season the next he will be a bum...that would be the 2017 season. He said in short order Tom Brady will be a bum. This is like a child.
Molly must love max or something cuz she legit tried to make a future excuse by saying if he's not in the superb max would of been right.. Wtf lol
Max flip flops more than I do with my diet 😂
Max said at age 40 he will fall off a cliff
“I’ve been sticking to that the whole time” bro Max keeps changing the timeline until he’s eventually right
"This is the least scary cliff is the history of mountains" LOLOL
remember that time when max said that conor LITERALLY would not actually land a single punch on floyd?
Stephen A Smith for president
They wrong for that 😆 😂
Someone needs to photoshop Brady pushing Max off a cliff LOL
Max never admits when he’s wrong
Max saying Kobe Bryant had 60 in his last game, that was a regular season game that didn’t mean anything against trash opposition where he was just throwing shots up... there’s literally no comparison.
THANK YOU!!!!
Tom Brady has won 6 Super Bowls!?”
Avid NFL viewer: “Yeah, but Max Kellerman says he’s going to fall off a cliff, next season.”
Generic Super Bowl viewer: “Who’s Max Kellerman? And why is he jumping off of a cliff? Did Tom Brady beat his team or something?”
This is the least scary cliff in the history of Mountains." Lol
When the time does finally come, max will say “told you so”
Here is how I see it.
(If you've read this far, relax...there's a lot more)
So when Stephen A offers Max an alliance, when Will Cain is present, he treats him a little bit more as a peer than a subordinate.
(Oh! you are still here?....well let's go further down the rabbit hole)
Next, there is Will Cain.
He gets savage, and checks his subordinates with some "Don't think I don't know your intentions, and if you keep playing with the fire, you will get burned"...."The lord giveth, and the lord taketh away"
Stephen A restores his position atop the mountain peak, and the rest of the wolves wait for the hunt tomorrow.
-The Politricks of ESPN First Take... The Saga to be continued
2 years before this Max said he would be falling off a cliff LOL!
"This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains"
hahahahahaha!
Im a steelers fan and I admit brady is the greatest player in the league and still is hell pull one more ring before its said and done respect the man
Max L-erman be like: "On October 14th at approximately 4:47 p.m. EST Tom Brady will fall off a cliff!!"
I just watch a video last week where max said Brady will drop at the BEGINNING of this season....
Tbh... sometimes Max makes me miss Skip Bayless... however Will makes me grateful for Max cause I know it could be worse
We need an update of this crazy talk by Max...where does he stand now that Brady won another ring haha
SAS is acting like a high-school student beating his teacher in a debate in class
I can't believe this is still going on
I don't know if it's technologically possible, but they really need to try to fix this 1 second delay that everyone is on.
They have 7 game series too, the best team will win a series but a team can luck up in a one and done situation so stop with ur nonsense.....
that's why I only watch game 7. i feel like I'm wasting my time watching the other games
DJ Gen you are probably the same idiot who watch every series and paid big bucks. Good job dummy !
Exactly. Kellerman just can't admit he's wrong.
First Take viewership would be out of this world if SAS & Cain were to go at it every single day
"this is the least scariest cliff ive seen" -Will
The man threw for 505 yards in the Superbowl at age 40.
Brady just had his best statistical postseason ever and is saying the cliff is here
Lol Molly do be ride at Max Kellerman tho i know yall see that
Obviously every player gets older and it is inevitable that retirement will come but it is stupid to bring that up.
Max said when he turns 40 he is falling off a cliff that didnt happen. Max was wrong like we ALL knew he would be
@4:02 Stephen A kills me everytime, Max needs serious therapy
Brady can play until he is 50 and still be better then half the qb’s in the league
Max has been talking about falling off the cliff since he got on the show since then Brady is 1-1 in the Superbowl has one Superbowl MVP and one NFL MVP
This is the least scary cliff in the history of mountains - Will Cain
If the cliff is passing for over 500 yards then Brady is clearly the goat.
