Anybody that whines about hating the .40 because of its “snappy recoil,” and I guarantee you that they’re also Bud Light drinkers as well. I recently bought a Gen5 Glock 22 and a 23 for EDC. I also have the Glock 32 and 31 (.357 Sig), which I also love. I own several models of glock 9mm’s in all generations.

lol, I'm now considering the 10mm. I picked up the G40 and now I need more 10mm pistols. I plan on getting the G20 using my blue label purchase here soon. 9mm has been my carry round for a long time, but I think 10mm may just replace it. Thanks for watching!!

@@citizenpew I 💙 10mm (obviously, look at my name). But used on people and it’s too big. Energy is usually wasted as it passes through, instead of that energy being dumped into the body like a 9, .40 or .45acp.

G22 gen 5 rocks. It’s my edc. That or my trusty Gen 3 23. G22 is in my waist as I write this. I’ve owned almost every Glock there is and the .40 cal Glocks are the best especially in the new Gen 5’s.

@@citizenpewjust an Fyi if you comparing the Glock 29 vs a Glock 33. The 33 in 357 Sig will have more power from a 3.4 Inch barrel. I checked that. 357 Sig fits in smaller guns and is more powerful from short barrels than the 10 mm.

When I shoot steel targets with my 9mm it barely knocks down the target. When I shoot my 40 it hits so hard the target goes down and bounces back up. It hits hard. In my police career I responded to a lot of shootings. Those hit with a 40 or 45 were usually within a step of where they were hit. The 9mm was less consistent.

During the gun ban a few years back when the government restricted more than 10 rounds the .40S&W was popular because 10 rounds of .40S&W is better than 10 rounds of 9mm. But after the ban sunset, the high capacity of 9mm came back in popularity. With the micro-9 with great capacity blows the 40S&W to the wayside. But I carry a glock23 everyday.

The 20SF in 10mm I carry in bear and cougar country has some recoil! Not the 23. I'm in my late fifties, and I manage it just fine! Even with many physical injuries! It's because of them I carry in the first place!

I never owned a Glock until three years ago, nothing against them I just felt they were all hype. When the Gen5 17 came out I found a deal on a Gen4 and picked it up. I was sold after that. Glocks aren't the end all be all but they are very reliable firearms. Later I learned about the blue label program allowing me to pick up two a year at reduced pricing, and I've been doing that the last few years. The Sub2000 PCC using Glock mags is a nice feature, Ruger did the same thing with their PCC too, and there are a few others. Hope you find that next Glock, thanks for the view and the comment!
