    You can tell Blackbird have done a fabulous job with the realism when the reviewer eventually gives up pushing random switches and cranking the starter button and goes for the 'ready to fly' option ;-)

      @@AvAngel That was not doing it right at all. You deliberately put multiple switches in the wrong position that weren't even in the checklist that you had up. Also, hitting "Auto/Reset" a second time cancels the start attempt.

    Looking forward for their Phantom and SR-71

    Ah a new plane from Blackbird. This will surely be top quality. Very unique and interesting cockpit - very digitalized but not another boring default-G1000 pit, awesome details on the outside model in the landing gear bay and other parts. Tons of bonus and extra options and customizations, and absolute awesome looking liveries. Almost like airbrush paintjobs. Sounds like a good deal!

    This would make a great pursuit plane for a "Laser Tag" setting. No violence, just a buzzer going off if you get some "hits". ASOBO, try this idea!

    For starting the T-6, you can leave everything in ARM, like the Boost Pump and Ignition. For the PCL to be in the “start range”, only move the PCL til you see the “ST READY” light on the CWS panel. From there, move the Starter Switch to “AUTO/RESET” once. The start sequence begins, things will happen automatically. When N1 reaches 60%, bring it to idle.

    very helpful video. I have recently added the Iris T6 and the Blackbird Texan. In the process of buying the Blackbird model I was unable to resist the Beale AFB scenery done by Blackbird. It is brilliant, full of detail and very framerate friendly. have you seen it yet, well worth it. Btw, I think the Blackbird Texan is the better model. It's very accessible with the EFB cutting out much of the work getting airborne. The detailed realism stuff is all there if it that's your thing.

    LOL the first start you gave it too much welly. There's an annunciator light to tell you when it's in the start range. Also possibly a calibration thing, if you've set it so that your physical throttle at 0 is idle then you can't get into start range with your throttle lever. The control mapping in the tablet is for the buttons on the throttle and stick that you can't easily click, and the first time I tried to taxi I had to use what felt like stupid amounts of throttle to get it moving then it suddenly decided to roll freely, glad to see you having a similar issue when you landed so it wasn't just me.

    You are not stupid. You just have an unreasonable number of aircraft in your hanger and you're mixing the virtual with the physical. That isn't natural.

    I love your reviews, and your approach while doing them, but you seriously need to fix your flying skills. You taxi like drunk, and takeoff suddenly with fast inputs (not smooth), landings are a struggle. I don't want to sound like a spoiled brat, so I will try to help. So, do you use a gamepad for flying, or you have a joystick and rudder pedals? If yes, which ones, and do you have several control profiles for the joystick or pedals? I have few profiles - 60%, 70%, 80% and a 100% profiles, which represent the amount of axis travel joystick can make in the sim. 60% means the extreme zone is at 40 in the sensitivity settings, and general sensitivity around -30 for both x and y axis. It helps tremendously, especially for cheap joystick like T16000M or Thrustmaster Airbus stick, etc. For helis, I use 80 or 100% profiles, depending on a model. I have a VKB Gladiator NXT EVO joystick, it's very precise and smooth, so I can manage even helicopters with 0 extreme deadzone (100% axis travel), and fly them smoothly. I use Logitech G25 racing pedals as rudder, and it works really good, and believe it or not, most most aircraft you need to set up axis sensitivity to -60 to -40, or the taxiing will be twitchy as Asobo still didn't fixed rudder control whatsoever. PMDG 737 is especially bad and twitchy during taxiing, even a slight barely felt press on a pedal will steer the 737 by few degrees, awful. I have a specific 737 control profile for the rudder with some crazy sensitivities around -80 lol.
    If you have a gamepad only, it's the best to use extreme deadzone around 30 to 40 for airplanes, and around -20 to -40 for sensitivity curve for a smooth control.
    Cheers and all the best!

      Watch any number of videos and see the literal oposite to that. This is a far more difficult aircraft to handle at higher altitude, This field is 6000ft. High altitude narrows the envelope for operations, I was really pushing where it wanted thinner air to give it lift. I didn't actually think about my elevation till after I'd landed and was wondering why it felt so sensitive.
      You do realize for most of this I was taxiing with differential braking right? Not nose wheel steering.

    • @Pe11ePD
      @Pe11ePD 2 месяца назад

      @@AvAngel OK, then, I was trying to help you to nail the sensitivities for your hardware, but it seems you already did. :)
      What do you use for differential braking? A gamepad, pedals or something else? It's really hard to do it in MSFS due to broken rudder and brake physics/twitch controls implementation by Asobo.

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel  Месяц назад +1

      My rudder pedals :) I use a Alpha yoke with bravo quadrant (Honeycomb) with saitek pedals. Honestly, I don't find it super bad in the sim other than it can be a little jerky as you can see... not as smooth as irl. I wasnt trying to be snarky in my reply, but hoenstly if you see other videos I'm usually perfectly smooth!

      Iris did the T-CB and t6-C, this T6-A from Milviz completes the set. It's way more functional (as you'd expect from a cut down version of the commercial sim they developed for the military, which is what they actually do, consumer sims is just their side hustle)
