Yeah she instantly became my favorite Astromech Droid when I read about her after unlocking her in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Yeah I agree. Maybe it was designed a while ago because LEGO predicted that everyone would adore her and cherish her like Grogu? That's what I'm thinking. They've had this design and want to finally use it and be done with it.
That's the only reason I think they'd do this. They know that the show wasn't well received and that everyone disliked how Young Leia was in that show.

Ngl personally I am much more excited for this set now that we know that it’s a buildable droid set, mostly because R2-KT is my favorite droid in Star Wars and if we’re getting R4-K5 in the set as well then that’s even better!
Getting an R2-KT sounds really cool but the set overall and anniversary minifigure sounds pretty underwhelming to me.
And honestly I wish R2-KT would get a minifigure already. That would be super easy for Lego to do I think

Just picked up a resistance y wing and resistance bomber for a total of £143 including shipping which is great bc I've always wanted both and they will go well with the poe's xwing i got on friday. Also, i hope that with the x-wing vs tie fighter set this year we get an x wing with the same design as the 2021 luke's x-wing but a different colour scheme like in blue or black or smth.

R2-d2 is my favorite and I’ve been wanting an r2-kt lego. So for me this is great.
There is still one more 25th anniversary minifigure that isn't released yet which is R2-KT.
The R2 from March is definitely still gonna sell better

All the playsets us adults buy are intended for kids… and I know most 8-10 year old boys are not gonna be interested in this

Some LEGO Star Wars video games have a disguises feature you can turn on and make some characters wear that. Maybe these accessories come from LEGO Star Wars games or shows.
Hopefully the Lego designers see our disappointment over this set and get to work on an actual creature set, hopefully a Krayt dragon or Zillo beast for they would be the most kino

Definitely not interested in a buildable droids set. Only reason I got the $100 R2 is because of the rumored in scale buildable 3PO that’s supposed to be coming out. I would’ve preferred 4 buildable creatures instead, like a more accurate Bantha, more detailed dewback and taun-taun compared to the microfighter ones, and maybe buildable Wampa. Or the Ep2 arena creatures.
Reminds me of when you put a disguises add on in the Lego Star Wars games
The new advent calendars set has a mini kit from LEGO SW video games. Maybe they're adding more things from those games or lego SW shows to sets?

I'm guessing the draw is supposed to be multiple small droids for $100 compared to one big droid in R2. Though, I wonder if they should've just made the D-Squad from the Clone Wars, and include a Gascon figure.
Having a Wookiee figure image as your default “I am saying shit I read off the web” image, undermines you when you are talking about hinted at mini figures for upcoming sets. Why show the wookie image when you are hinting at a certain figure with the words your mouth is emitting?
If it has the minifig versions of the droids it might actually be a... not terrible set

I like this leak as these droids are one of my favorite things in Star Wars. A lot of my favourite characters in Star Wars aren't main characters so it's nice to see different things.
I've also thought for a long time that LEGO Star Wars should be doing more Big fig and buildable creature sets.
Cant wait for this leak to not be true and this video to have just been a waste of time. Why would lego release two buildable r2s in the dame year. This leak got it wrong the first time supoosedly but this time it is right. Beliving this and commenting and critcisting it like it is fact is unbelievable
They released 2 buildable Simbas in the same year, so I wouldn't put it past them to be this stupid, sadly.
This will be great if it's a "4-in-1" set where you build the skeleton (a smaller one for Chopper) and then it includes the extra pieces for you to choose which droid you want to make.
However if it's 4 smaller models then I don't know. I see it being great for display but I'm not sure if it'd be a good set, especially when we already have 3 buildable R2-D2s. Although I do love getting R2-KT as I adore her.
