I work for a wash similar to this out here in the central area of Florida. This was a simple e-stop done by the attendant most likely due to a car failing to put it in neutral, happens a lot. Great video though, glad to see a wash video!
Could've been a minor power surge, typically what these tunnel washes do when a scenario like this occurs is that it will cut power to all systems including the vacuums temporarily then restart after the issue is resolved, hence the buzzer noise indicating the car wash restarting from a partial power fault.
Not at all. I work for an express wash. This was a simple E-Stop done by the attendant if somebody fails to put the vehicle in neutral and jumps rollers, then we start it back up once everything is all good. However, if it pauses quickly then starts back up, that's due to anti-collision mat at the end of the tunnel if a car sits on it for too long, then once they move it'll start everything up again.
Maybe they hit the emergency stop button for some reason. I used to work at Dolphin Car Wash in Mesa, Arizona, and we had a big red button that stops the wash.
Some car washes, have a timer before the last few parts continue. I think to let the, water, for the most part drip off. that way, the car dryers at the end, can do a better job if not nearly dry the car off.
Another possibility. The car in front of you didn't drive away right away, and the car wash will trigger a safety switch and shut itself off to prevent a collision. It happened to me once (off-camera).

Figured they had to stop it for some reason. I do enjoy car washes!

Wow Andrew, I have never seen a car wash stopped before
It was interesting
That's a MacNeil tunnel! I can tell by the dryers and the brushes
Great video as always, DD! 😁
Thanks.
@@DieselDucy No problem
Hardly enough this video was preceded by a Keurig coffee commercial that was actually filmed in an Elevator.
lol
This tunnel has MacNeil equipment.
This quit when I was rewatching it. I thought it was switching to everybody.
Probably a glitch.

We all love when our stuff is clean
It’s actually better that you didn’t have to get out of the car
