@@khoale4755 Absolutely love John Farnham! Both have strong, strong voices. Mickey Thomas as well. They are all incredible but Russell Hitchcock's voice just takes my breath away.

Yes, friend, I'm one of them. I'm a 82 Y.O. person and I remember Rock n Roll starting. I have loved music thru the years. This Air Supply's song is one of my all time favourites and guarantees wet eyes in me. I recommend another track recorded at a Military Music Show at Bremen. They played Unchained Melody and It always evokes my emotions as above. Recommended!

Very well articulated. I really mean that. Russell is undisputedly under rated when it comes to hitting the high notes.I think he stands with the best in Rock with his abilities on vocals. David Coverdale. Jon Bon Jovi. Steve Perry and the list could go on and on and on. The only thing I can think of, when it comes to ratings, is that Air Supply aquired the brand as being a "chic band" and I think that is so unfair. Once again,,,,great analogy of Russell and Air Supply.

It's funny I grew up in the 70's and early 80's where hard rock was everywhere but Air Supply turned out to be my favorite band.
Superb vocal performance all around. This began a very rich era of Air Supply. Their next two albums following The Earth Is were also amazingly good. They toured with full ensembles so the live shows were also fantastic.

Just been listening to Air Supply's latest concert 2021 in the US & Russell still sounds great tho his hair is now white & Graham has long hair here. Anyway, the voice is still there & is as strong as ever.
Nobody was listening to Air Supply in 1991. Actually by 1984, they were passe. But they were huge in the early 80s.

The singers get all the attention, but the backing musicians were kicking ass. I wish they showed a closeup of the bass player because his fretless playing was just like Pino Palladino who played behind almost everybody in the late 70s to the 90s and even today. Most recently Palladino played with John Mayer and The Who.
