After my nana died (survived by my grandad), I needed a black bag for her funeral, so my grandad told me to take hers. In her bag she kept an old shopping list my grandad had written and put "I LOVE YOU" on. She'd kept it for years in her handbag, so she'd know he loved her even if she was away from him, like solo hospital visits. If I remember rightly, the list was from 2008, she died December 26th 2022. I've kept a photo of it, and my grandad has it, and my dad has a copy of the picture, because it brings us all comfort that she knew she was loved and kept proof at all times.

That dude from story 7 had 2400 firearms?!?! Holy crap, the three gun collectors I know and my own personal collection, combined wouldn't even amount to a quarter of that. Dang.

I was helping my sister clean out Mom's cedar chest. Among the heirlooms and baby clothes that were expected, we found a letter of expungement with my brother's name on it. For those who don't know, a letter of expungement basically erases a misdemeanor that a person committed. After finding that, I contacted him and asked "WHAT did you DO?"
As a teenager or younger, he and a neighbor boy ended out in a battle over a bb gun. Apparently, the neighbor kid was trying to shoot Brother, who did NOT want to get hurt. In the struggle, neighbor boy got shot in his shoulder, and Brother did some time in Juvenile Detention.
It was a shock finding this out about my brother.

I want to know what happened to the poor puppers. Did they go to a shelter or did someone take them in? I feel bad for them

    140k notes?
They turned it all into the banks?!
    Oof…
Find that much cash, I’d not turn much of it in, especially if they had an inheritance tax to it.
Use the notes to pay for things slowly over time, while working.
Government sucks. If he got to keep it all though, and was able to draw interest on it through CD’s or investing, thats incredible.
140k at 5% is 7k extra a year, reinvest half that, spend the other half as a bonus, or reinvest it as well, you can get a nice retirement fund setup.
Banks and government I just dont trust.
Story 13: Definitely would pursue legal action for a stolen gun.
