Hi Pencil, Raven main here and been waiting for this one :) I'd like to explain a bit of a mindgame behind punishing FC df3. On block, the low is -9 and leaves Raven in BT; this tempts punishment, since Raven cannot obviously block in BT, or manually turn around with B3+4 to block in time. HOWEVER, Raven has access to 2 parries in BT, BT f1+2 and BT b1+3. BT f1+2 (parry window i1-10) will beat typical 11f WS4 punishes from the entire cast! It will also beat a slower 13f WS punish that you showcased from Feng here. This parry will lose to elbows, knees, shoulders, headbutts, and other attacks that cannot be traditionally parried. BT b1+3 (same parry window as above) is a side-switching, non-damaging parry, that can parry all retailiation except rage arts. A good Raven will only choose this option if their first parry is countered or to escape the wall/corner. This also does 10 recoverable health dmg to Raven. Bit of a tricky situation, as befitting a ninja. As always, watching for the parry then whiff punishing will be the most devastating answer. Cheers!
Thanks for the additional notes/explanation Urban, I didn't know Raven's parry from Backturn came out on frame 1 to even think about testing this, so I truly appreciate you bringing attention to it. Almost a decade of competitive tekken and still learning things ❤ Cheers!
Man i just learned at pretty much all of his purple shadow clone moves are -14 and higher. That's going to be a great way to compartmentalize that on the fly! Thanks for the help big dawg!
As a Raven player, this is very useful as now I'm aware that I can't keep doing for free lmao. Also a tip for you guys: be careful when punishing b4,4 and fc df3. Since these moves are -9 leave raven backturned, it's the perfect setup for a reversal or an escape parry, so sometimes delaying your punish can be a good idea (raven's escape parry can escape elbows, knees, shoulders, headbutts, low attacks and even throws).
@@moeedahmad4545 bt 1+2 is a regular reversal. Use elbows, knees, shoulders, throws or lows to counter if you expect raven to use it. Escape parry can escape pretty much everything, but raven is very negative and left crouching in a successful parry. I usually try going for either a ws1 for launch or fc df3+4. I'd recommend you use a advancing string to clip a regular escape parry or dodge a punsih atempt of a bt escape parry. A great choice is also delaying your punish to bait the parry (if you can predict it) and punish it. Remember that throws are unbreakable if they land on the recovery frames of any parry.

@1:13 the tool tip says -13, it's -14, no change for Feng, but important for other characters. I apologize for the typo

Another Raven player had commented about the parries as well. Thank you for your additional notes and support ❤
