Alec Fields Deskbot otk has gotten me further than any deck I've previously owned. It's actually better in links than I expected since I rarely use the extra deck. Basically opening board is instant win since the monster/spell ratio is amazing. (14 spells 26 monsters). Swing for 15000 or more occasionally(Especially with 009 and limiter removal) and game over. Opening with a board wipe any some back row removal there's almost nothing the opponent can do. Even if True Dracos get Master Peace somehow it's still pretty much game with Deskbots.
*Hope you all enjoyed the video! If you did, a Like is always appreciated!* *You should be able to get the cores of all these decks on TCGplayer for less than $20! What other budget picks do you enjoy playing? Some of these surprised us!*
That beginning skit reminds me of when my mom would take my sisters and I to the local mall just so we could be out of the house and hang out, gave us money for food, and I would always either save it or spent it at GameStop for a game. Every single time. Never regretted it.
4:48 four years late, but I appreciate the Cubix jingle. That..brought me back. I...don't think I watched Cubix back in the day, but I definitely remember the jingle on commercials. So thanks for making all of us feel old :P
I've been considering getting back into the game after years-I've not really played since before Xyz monsters came out, and I really appreciate this video, especially since a lot of the decks don't have extra decks and that should be especially easy until I understand the whole Link summoning mechanics.
yo team aps we wanna get with yall on some collaborations and quality content we have seen yall in houston at regionals thats where we at let me know wassup im interested in what we can do together
Love informational Yu-Gi-Oh vids like this. (With a touch of humor, too. That Cubix reference, roflol.) I think it can help out people who want to quickly adapt to the Link format while playing with an at least slightly competitive Deck. In fact, the vid revitalized my confidence in some of these archetypes!
Deskbots are another good option. I don't know if a core would be below $20, but all the archetype's cards are commons and it couldn't be too expensive. Very similar to cubics in the whole otk, don't need an extra deck category
Cuz Fortress is just such a great card. This past week at Locals I was up against Magical Musketeers. First play he played Ties Of The Bretheren in column for effect of course, ends with a board of 3 monsters, added Cross Domination (free negation) to hand, and I opened with a hand of Dark Hole, Fortress, Catapult, Geartown, and I top decked Hound. Faked him out with Dark Hole, played Fortress so now he can't respond, dropped Geartown, popped it with Catapult, Wyvern and Golem, Wyvern added Box, Box added Gadget, normal summon Hound, fused Wyvern, Box, Gadget and Hound with Hound's effect, dealt a gross amount of damage.
Predaplants are a lot of fun, although 2 copies of starving venom alone will eat up more than the 20 dollars, although you can probably build the whole deck for 50 or less. Unfortunately the best cards of the archetype don't exist yet but that's a common theme with a lot of budget options *cough goukis cough*
Thanks for this video! I hadn't ever really paid attention to Infernoids before, but now I've found a fun deck to use that was very cost-effective as well.
Are you guys going to the regional tournament in Lubbock? If so, I hope to duel one of yall because I believe that it will be a great challenge for me... (I play Monarchs)
Predaplants pennys each? Wut. Predaplant ChimeraFlessia is pretty low at a $1.90 average on TCG, but then Starving Venom Fusion dragon (which ideally you would run two to three of) is currently averaging out at $11.32. There are really cheap cards in the set, like Flytrap, nepenthes, drosera, banksiogre etc, but they won't help you get Greedy Venom Fusion dragon out which is the purpose of the deck. You could make a much much slower version predaplants which can be quite fun without any extra deck for like 10-15 dollars, but I don't think you'd stand a chance against any of the other decks mentioned throughout this video.
Topaz Turtwig not in MR4. The deck's win condition is quickly bringing out Phantasm Spiral Dragon, searching equip spells or playing traps from hand on your opponent's turn, it has an alternate win condition that (while it can miss timing) requires your PSD to have 3 of the Phantasm Spiral equips attached to it with different names, the field spell taking the name of Umi, so you can play the traps from hand and said win condition is a trap that can be played from hand, PSD has to have destroyed 3 of your opponent's effect monsters, but that's the win condition and it's a *NORMAL* trap as well.
Hey I need some help building a deck not sure what I want to do but I trust you guys a lot and need your advice on which site to use and what decks would be good for me?
At my place none of my friends want to play my Fluffals, consistent is amazing until you get D-Barrier. Best thing about playing at home with fringe is different variety boards instead of locals all playing meta decks.
A Glad Beast deck can be built for under $20!? When did this happen, and are they even still relevant!? (Haven't dealt with that since World Championship 2008 for DS)
I play flufffals after links and all the deck can do is summon sheep, use your battle phase to destroy it so it goes into the normal zone then summon another sheep in defence, then you wait until you can get tiger then you charge to do as much as possible
MegaMM25 fluffals still going super strong. My gf got third place at a big event last weekend, loosing only to Master Peace.dek and my Yang Zings xD The best play is to summon Kraken and use him to summon sabretoth to bring kraken back and boom, you have 8k damage onthe field xD
I personally made a Phantasm Spiral Dragon Pendulum Deck with things like the 3 Dragoons of Draconia, Dragon Horn Hunter and a few of the other random Normal Pendulum Monsters with First of the Dragons and Thunder End Dragon in the Extra Deck for under $20 and now it's my friends best Deck XD
lol i have a friend named Bob who made a deck he ironically enough calls VOPS - VanillaOrichalcosPendulumStun - and it roughly costed him less than 10 US dollars, surprisingly not bricky, slow'ish and backrow dependant yes but still consistant enough, occasional nuts draw power and search power, runs those weird turkey and roast beef pendulum cards, Skill Drain - duh - and it runs some obscure trap way worse than Vanity but that's a secret i won't be telling though. Gotta say it's so awesome seeing those Cosmo Queens and Summoned Skulls back in action not caring at all for Links XD
Cubic OTK is fun but this thing is the epitome of feast or famine. You draw all of the Cubic monsters not named Vijam, Duza or Crimson Nova, you lose. And no, you’re not gonna summon Crimson Nova Trinity, the fusion monster; you don’t even need it to run the deck properly.
I'm gonna profile the deck in depth on my channel in the next month or so but heres the list: Main Deck 3 Vijam 3 Nova 3 Duza 1 Geira Guile 1 Dark Garnex 1 Vulcan Dragni 1 Blade Garoodia 1 Buster Gundil 3 Ophrys Scorpio 2 Sundew 2 Banksiogre 1 Darlingtonia Cobra 1 Flytrap 3 Cubic Karma 3 Cubic Wave 2 Recurring Nightmare 1 Fusion Conscription 1 Ultra Poly 2 Polymerization 1 Fusion Sub 1 Monster Gate 1 Reasoning 1 Unification of the Cubic Lords 1 Cubic Rebirth Extra Deck 3 Predaplant Chirmerafflesia 3 Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon 3 Starving Venom Fusion Dragon 3 Crimson Nova Trinity 2 Psy Framelord Omega 1 Number 20: Giga Brilliant You can also throw in some rank 10s if you want easy outs for Crimson Nova's burn effect
I bought a playset of all the Hazy Flames and xyz support cards and made a 'Make Basilisk Uber Strong' deck for €6 last year. I mean... it sucks... but it's a fun casual deck. If it was faster, it would be ok for link format. But hey... €6!
I actually got all the cubics for like €10 before duza dropped, and then picked him up later on. They're cool, and what they do is interesting, but my god they're bricky. You win or you brick. Only 2 outcomes.
PSA: Please don't let yugioh or food ever be a dilemma. Hungry Burger is the best of both worlds!
how about some delicious Mooyan Curry!
Alec Fields of course Phantasm Spirals make it. No meta players use them, but it's so good.
$5.95 for a Hungry Jacks stunner meal in Australia. Great feed and money left over for cards! (Love you guys
$1 spicy chicken sandwich or daily double at McDonald's

Children's card game >>>> necessary sustenance
C A R D GAME
ON MOTORCYCLES!
If Kaiba can get rich while obsessing over a children's card game than so can I!
Jokes on you my dad buy the cards and my mum makes the food!
*Hope you all enjoyed the video! If you did, a Like is always appreciated!*

Team APS skit is the best
Team APS I gotta say as someone who is wanting to return to yugioh this was definitely a great video
Team APS Before the Link format I would recommend Gagaga since its cheap and versatile with whatever Xyz preferences players want.
Team APS I play Monarchs and yeah... It's really cheap
Team APS What does aps stand for?
Lmao at the skit in the beginning, they got that little careers $5 holla 🍕
InnovationYGO They should pin this.
InnovationYGO little careers is my fave
InnovationYGO m
Ralph Lemon whats that let me search it up
Yooo that would be so good playing yugioh with your decks and eating pizza
Next video idea:
Buy two 20 dollars decks and duel with them on camera.
World Of Presto underrated comment

That beginning skit reminds me of when my mom would take my sisters and I to the local mall just so we could be out of the house and hang out, gave us money for food, and I would always either save it or spent it at GameStop for a game. Every single time. Never regretted it.
That moment when y'all both looked up during the intro had me DEAD
The intro is basically how i live my life
4:48 four years late, but I appreciate the Cubix jingle. That..brought me back. I...don't think I watched Cubix back in the day, but I definitely remember the jingle on commercials. So thanks for making all of us feel old :P
I just gotta say, I really loved that intro! As cheesy as it was it was really funny!
I've been considering getting back into the game after years-I've not really played since before Xyz monsters came out, and I really appreciate this video, especially since a lot of the decks don't have extra decks and that should be especially easy until I understand the whole Link summoning mechanics.
Joshua Dutton same boat
Joshua Dutton me too. I bought 3 dinosmasher. Omg its so boring to play. To powerfull
Hey Paul, what software did you use to make the intro?
4:21 The bg music makes it look like you're distracted by an ice cream truck.
Alec you were in rotc air force!? Awesome man!!
Josh Derosa Yeah I did it in highschool
you brobably should put the list in the description for those who might wanna research them.
The fuck you horny?
That intro was just beautiful, not to mention the "it's raining" part...
any links to the deck compositions?
where's the cubic deck profile? Its not in the description
yo team aps we wanna get with yall on some collaborations and quality content we have seen yall in houston at regionals thats where we at let me know wassup im interested in what we can do together
With the upcoming Foolish Burial Goods reprint, Cubics are a really solid budget choice. I'll be picking up the Infected Mail build myself.
WHERE THE DESKBOTS AT?
""THE"" budget deck that needs no extra deck and has a 2 card combo that hits for 15,000 atk that can't be responded to
newslime Why couldn't it be responded to?
AceDMan16 Gameing 009 is basically Utopia the Lightning
good point, also where is chain burn? ultimate budget deck that has been around the longest
taburz blism chain burn is expensive af and since Ryan yu won dragon duel with chain burn, people are siding zaphion and Denko now
desires and demises are still up there price wise
Love informational Yu-Gi-Oh vids like this. (With a touch of humor, too. That Cubix reference, roflol.) I think it can help out people who want to quickly adapt to the Link format while playing with an at least slightly competitive Deck.

TIMESTAMPS
1) Phantasm: 1:09
2) Yosenju: 2:20
3) Infernoids: 3:37
4) Cubic (personal fave!) :4:44
5) Predaplants: 6:12
6) Metalfoes: 7:41
7) Paleozoic: 9:05
8) Magicians 10:24
9) Frightfurs/Fluffals 11:20
10) Gladiator Beasts 12:26
Sorry about the typo!
Cubics: 4:44
Damn that sketch intro was great, do more of those 😂😂
kinda obvious what the joke was in the beginning but it was still hilarious Team APS
(that look to the camera was priceless)
Team Morningstar what was it about?
Do you guys have a Predaplant profile? I only ever hear about the Ophrys engine and would really like to see a full-out build.
You forgot about zoodiac
You can make a budget version easily with just 300 hundred dollars!
barrage is ten bucks and everything else is like seven bucks or less so it is probs like only $100-$200
and even lower when tins come out
NEKROZ OF UNICORE *Cough "Ash Blossom" *Cough
luis lugo you can play zoo without ash you know
Deskbots are another good option. I don't know if a core would be below $20, but all the archetype's cards are commons and it couldn't be too expensive. Very similar to cubics in the whole otk, don't need an extra deck category
Great video!
What about Ancient Gears? I mean, they are cheap and somewhat playable with the new fusions!?
A answer would be nice :)
+hans peter definitely!
After the reprints nekroz are also really budget friendly ! Manjus can cost a little bit but not a big deal.
Can y'all do a predaplant deck I've been trying for a while An lost builds I've seen are wierd do y'all think y'all can
Love my budget deck. Less than $8 at tcgplayer and I'm link ready. I like the skit addition and creative deck ideas.
XD you got me at Cubix for everyone lol. One of my favourite childhood series.
MashySob I actually disliked Cubix, but damn there wasn't anything else on
Alec Fields yeah I was a kid and liked the idea of making robots etc. Lol
Alec Fields But then again, Zexal was the series that got me into yugioh so... XD
Thanks for this video! I hadn't ever really paid attention to Infernoids before, but now I've found a fun deck to use that was very cost-effective as well.
Yo, could you run lightsworns with infernoids for extra mill power?
James Greer yes. 3 raiden, 1-2 charge of the light brigade can help out a lot
Would cardians be a good deck to bring to locals? I'm looking for a deck that versatile and that I don't have to worry about building a side deck.
Really liked that skit at the start xD Do those more often please!
Lmfao I loved that intro, that look at the the camera though 😂😂
I just loved that intro. The look into the camera make me laugh out loud XD
do you guys have a glad beast video about how to play it? because I understand what the mechanic is bit I don't exactly know how it runs
Try thecalieffect's video explaining glad beasts
Cubics are also a great choice since they are all Ultra Rares or Gold Rares. You can have a fully pimped deck for under $20. What more do you want?!
+Ben Richardson True! That said, it's Ultra Rare or bust for me!
DDD not mentioned in the vid??? Everything is under $3 (outside of maybe lil Ghengis and lil Alexander) plus it is strong deck in link era.
+Rayla Kurosaki Maybe we'll make another video like this.
Team APS
What's your opinion about DDD in the Link era and how powerful can it be? Like do you think it can keep up with the future meta?
Rayla Kurosaki I can answer that no and no it needs better support then what it gets
Shinobi Squad
Thank you but I didn't ask for your opinion.
Rayla Kurosaki u don't gotta be rude about it I was just saying anybody and everybody knows that
Please put a pic of the deck ur talking about because when i skip through some parts to see what u think idk what your talking about
LOGANG FOR LIFEEE yeah i had the same prob, hiwever they usually list out the decks in the description so you dint have to watch the whole video...
They use a picture in the beginning of the explanation...
Are you guys going to the regional tournament in Lubbock? If so, I hope to duel one of yall because I believe that it will be a great challenge for me... (I play Monarchs)
That intro is pure gold
20 for yugioh 5 for food. Now thats living life to the fullest!
+Superbootsk1 Somebody here has their priorities straight!
Team APS Gotta get that bang for your buck :D
Kaiju, Felgrand , Saffira, is a deck I'm testing. What are your thoughts on ANY success of this? Looking more on the fun but somewhat viable range.
Andrew Kim maybe add Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended form INOV
After that surprising shit I'm not even Cubic'd.
W O A H
About a year later, and we finally got frightfur patchwork in Duel Power
They're right. I'm actually thinking about picking up magicians. They look pretty fun from what I've seen.
Does Team APS have a trade binder...?
Wait, did you guys announce the winner of the box giveaway?
Ben Cahill they did
Whomst won
Predaplants pennys each? Wut. My deck is less than £20 and It is a cyberse deck. I just got offers for: Starter deck Yuya; Starter deck Codebreaker and Structure deck Cyberse link.
so im new to yugioh (post XYZ monsters) and im curious as to what you are referring to when you say magicians, can you possibly provide a deck recipe?
Can you put deck lists in the video or description please?
where do you buy your yugioh cards
What about the most expensive archetypes?
Josi Nuño The current meta is always the most expensive.
Could Metalfoes work well with Phantasm Spirals?
I love the grins at the end of the intro. Hilarious.
Hey I need some help building a deck not sure what I want to do but I trust you guys a lot and need your advice on which site to use and what decks would be good for me?
At my place none of my friends want to play my Fluffals, consistent is amazing until you get D-Barrier.
Best thing about playing at home with fringe is different variety boards instead of locals all playing meta decks.
will Paleozoic work in link format?
Scoth Senpai OCG plaeozoic nimble frog is lit af
Notification Squad! Also this was a helpful video as I am a teenager and don't have enough money to make a 400$ monarch deck.
Glad to help! We've made a few more of these video (Decks Under) recently, so definitely give those a look.
Will we ever see any of these budget deck lists?
Paleozoic and Phantasm have pretty good synergy since the traps are treated as normal monsters.
Fluffals aren't dead, sabre tooth plus sheep is nice and powerful.
invoked frightfurs actually works in this format but its the more expensive side if you so choose to run more than 1 invocation
great deck ideas for the player on a budget guys thanks this help me a lot considering im all ways hella low on funds
Finally all caught up on videos. Taking a "break" before summer of YuGiOh was a bad idea haha
I learned fusions to play fluffal and I don't regret it. Going 2nd and finishing the game is always hilarious.
I'm expecting Patchwork to be released either in a Special Edition or in a Duelist Pack.
The little bell sent me :) Great video on budget decks, it's great to learn about as a player coming back to the game after a few years!
A Glad Beast deck can be built for under $20!? When did this happen, and are they even still relevant!? (Haven't dealt with that since World Championship 2008 for DS)
Do you have lists for these decks?
I play flufffals after links and all the deck can do is summon sheep, use your battle phase to destroy it so it goes into the normal zone then summon another sheep in defence, then you wait until you can get tiger then you charge to do as much as possible
HoopaZard productions would you recommend it
MegaMM25 fluffals still going super strong. My gf got third place at a big event last weekend, loosing only to Master Peace.dek and my Yang Zings xD
The best play is to summon Kraken and use him to summon sabretoth to bring kraken back and boom, you have 8k damage onthe field xD
what about harpies and elemental heros
What about ciphers?
I built a dinosaur deck 40 cards with $4 lol
I personally made a Phantasm Spiral Dragon Pendulum Deck with things like the 3 Dragoons of Draconia, Dragon Horn Hunter and a few of the other random Normal Pendulum Monsters with First of the Dragons and Thunder End Dragon in the Extra Deck for under $20 and now it's my friends best Deck XD
Now when you say we can get these cores for less than $20 do you mean getting a playset of every card?
What do you call a deck you constructed on your own
Ruffles Michalek a deck
Ruffles Michalek a deck
Nathan Drake darn it you got to it before me
7 minutes into watching this I get the notification for this. This also why I follow on Facebook. Also I have a love-hate thing with cubics.
I've had that same intro conversation with friends.
lol i have a friend named Bob who made a deck he ironically enough calls VOPS - VanillaOrichalcosPendulumStun - and it roughly costed him less than 10 US dollars, surprisingly not bricky, slow'ish and backrow dependant yes but still consistant enough, occasional nuts draw power and search power, runs those weird turkey and roast beef pendulum cards, Skill Drain - duh - and it runs some obscure trap way worse than Vanity but that's a secret i won't be telling though. Gotta say it's so awesome seeing those Cosmo Queens and Summoned Skulls back in action not caring at all for Links XD
digital bugs are cheap too
Cubic OTK is fun but this thing is the epitome of feast or famine. You draw all of the Cubic monsters not named Vijam, Duza or Crimson Nova, you lose. And no, you’re not gonna summon Crimson Nova Trinity, the fusion monster; you don’t even need it to run the deck properly.
You guys forgot Deskbots. The entire core and basic cards are about 15 dollars total.
Preda-Cubes is a lot of fun and works surprisingly well

Best intro on youtube!
Geargia rampage- I've won several games using it, and I have several OK combos
Deck profiles for all these decks plz
Iove that sketch at the beginning
Deck profile for Predaplants.
please!
also i dubt that Predaplant deck is below 20$ considering just Starving venom is 12 $ and you need atleast 2 of him
bruh why paul look like ojama blue?
Eddie G. Hahaahahah but for real, he has the Persian look. It's pretty badass lol
that intro was funny af, my friends an I can relate for real
Cubics are fun as hell. It's very feast or famine but when it feasts it feasts hard af
In regards to pendulum magician I got a box of pendulum evolution for £45 and got extras of the main magicians (might exchange to over $20)
I bought a playset of all the Hazy Flames and xyz support cards and made a 'Make Basilisk Uber Strong' deck for €6 last year. I mean... it sucks... but it's a fun casual deck. If it was faster, it would be ok for link format. But hey... €6!
I actually got all the cubics for like €10 before duza dropped, and then picked him up later on. They're cool, and what they do is interesting, but my god they're bricky. You win or you brick. Only 2 outcomes.
