Zen needed to go in Blitz but I did not expect him to warp time and transcend through the format in 2 weeks.
Thank goodness I didn't see him Saturday.
I kinda feel bad for the design team. They kept working on Zen until they felt he wasn’t just absolutely broken, and then the community cracked their knuckles and showed them how wrong they were. They’ve talked about the things they regret about Mistveil and some of the lessons they had to learn here. It’s a shame because he legitimately is fun to play, all of the Mistveil heroes are imo. But the format is unquestionably better without him. He’s just too strong

Design team knew exactly what he was capable of they released him in that state intentionally to help sell product in Japan.
They didint test zen properly at all. They tunnel visioned him for Tigers and forgot everything else. He is poorly designed. He was broken the moment they fully released the set

I sincerely want zen to just dissappear. I want Fai and Katsu to get better and I feel like zen will just mean they have to suck because zen is just so overwhelming strong...EVEN IN LL 😢

Zen feels awesome to play, just a shame is completely bonkers. If he was just tuned down some more and wasn’t able to abuse degenerate play patterns as much, I would be able to try and tinker some more with his fun cards like Tooth and Claw and such. 😅

1.) AOW can't banned or "ephemeral" Tigers, or maybe make Tigers ALL spawn in Banished zone and can be played from there.
2.) Ban the "Stride of Reprisal" or make it spawn tigers in Banished zone and be played from there.
People calling for a AoW ban just think about this for a sec. When Fai was top tier, was it because of AoW or the versatility of Belittle/minowwism? When Chane was top dog with Prism, was it because of AoW or because the banished cards didnt matter and his hero ability allowed for crazy turns? When Levia or Vynnset does it, its a turn extender but when its Zen now AoW is the problem? But its not because Zen has free attacks to banish and free ressources from the Kasaya and easy to get Chi equipement, equipement that blocks for 7, ignores disruption, has blues that values upwards of 4 per card... When an aggro deck has barely no downside, its not 1 card's fault

Who is a good character for a new player that started with Zen's blitz deck? Hopefully with a similar gameplan and someone I can reuse the cards with. Thanks!
The simplest answer is Katsu, but I would try checking out Benji as well.
@@TheNum8274444 Benji is a great fit with the tiger synergy, and if you want something that can go massively wide, check out Fai!
I started with Zen's blitz and it was very disappointing, so I ended up playing Iyslander at commoner events instead

I'm still very new to FaB and have a question. I know once a hero reaches LL you can't use them again at official events. I just bought a Dash blitz precon though and was curious if you can go to your local armory though and still use it even though she just hit LL? Thanks!
Before ansnwering i would like to mention that LL heroes just means you can't use them in normal formats meaning if its a official event thats doing LL blitz/CC format you can still use dash, but no you can't use it to your armory if its a normal blitz armory, i do suggest looking up dash IO, you can probably switch your deck to synergize to dash IO to make it playable

You can ask your community, but the safest route is to try dash io or aggro Maxx

I worry that Prism will runaway with LL format if Zen is touched there. Luminaris+spectra is still problematic for a lot of decks. Zen was something that can at least easily burst her down.

She can be powerful.
But most of her marches are 80/20 or 20/80. Almost no 50/50 games.
Hardest hero being Ríhinar.
She has almost no block and she needs time to set-up the aura's and 20 life and no block, you need to get a good board at the latest trunk 2, any agro deck can out Sprint you by then.
In CC she has 40 life that's a lot more time to build a board.

With Dash, Briar and Zen gone Brute will push Victor the the side a bit, he gets kinda farmed by Blaze and Brutes unfortunately.
I think zen has kinda proven that R&D doesn't really know what to do with aggro in the game yet, at least not when mistveil was being designed. Aurora looks a lot more balanced as an aggro, and that probably has something to do with the fact that she can't draw into 8-9 card hands in a game where a limited hand size is a core design tenant.

Restrict AoW to 1. That gets rid of double AoW right there
And put for example Fai in an even worse spot? Maybe Zen specific.
I never liked him anyway...
they just need to ban/restric AoW in all formats... this card is a relic of the past of the game and the tendency is for it to aggravate metas with aggro decks with insane turns the more the game grows
