Socket size for the non-egr dt466e is 1-1/8” deep socket. Take the nut off the back of the IPR and slide off the connector. Install the new one the same way. Pretty easy and no special socket required. You may have to drill the socket slightly deeper to accept the IPR threaded end, but it works.
I have a 2003 4300 DT466 and I put the IPR Valve on my truck like the one you showed in the video. But the one that came off my truck had a tail on the back, a flared opening on the side that goes in the housing, with no screen. Even though it had a flared out opening, it was the same size in circumference as the one I put in with the screen. Do you think this will make a difference? My truck ran fine weeks ago, I cut it off during a delivery and it wouldn't start back up. I have changed lift pump, primer pump, and IPR Valve. It seems like it's not pulling fuel???
Ok bro the one I’m the video is for ipr view purpose you must put back in the one that came out of your truck I’m not sure which one you have but put back in the one that came out of the truck bro.
@@AtlanticTransportation The pump can put out 5000 psi, so a little metal going thru it doesn't do it a lot of good! From my experience if the screen is punched out there is a 10% chance it effected the pump!

Yes indeed thanks for the brake down on it.

The screen is broken in the end of the IPR! Hope the high pressure oil pump is OK! That fine metal will sometimes take out the pump!
Wow that’s really impressive how that little screen can do.

Wow now is it possible that it can become weak and not just out due to the screen

The tolerances of the pump are so tight any thing going thru the pump causes damage
