Why are y'all speaking as if this is all in the past and we've somehow "overcome" This is a very REAL and prevalent threat that we still face TO THIS DAY. If you're black you need to educate yourself on where these areas are because they are still very much ACTIVE
@STOCK EXCHANGE LIVE no way you compared the two. You being scared of black people because of a stereotype and black people being HISTORICALLY attacked for being in a certain area and because the color of their skin is completely different… you can read this as many times as you need to.
@STOCK EXCHANGE LIVE it’s still not because your race they’d still steal from you no matter your color gender whatever.Getting robbed for money and getting lynched for the color of your skin is different
@@roneilboodie6735 i think it's definitely a "if you know you know" type of thing. Apparently they get a lot of side glances and attention from the police there. My black friends were talking about it like it was nothing new or unusual, while for me jt blew my mind
Thanks for this video. To me, U.S. Sundown towns are ANYWHERE where its rural and racist white, no matter the state or city. Some places have more of a violent racist past than others but they're all bad in general. As long as violent racist white people exist, you'll forever have Sundown towns. It's such a shame that innocent blk people really can't win. You go to these places you're confronted or even lynched by racist whites, go to any "hood" and you'll be gunned down or confronted by ignorant fellow blks, go to east Los Angeles and you'll have to deal with prejudice ass latinos who hate blacks. This is one of the main reasons why I plan on moving to a country in Africa because let's be real, America will never get it's shit together. Sure there may be some changes and improvements here and there but overall, it'll forever remain full of angry, racist, ignorant ass people. A blk person yearning for peace of mind could never truly relax in America and other places who share the same racist, ignorant ideologies like America.

Hi, I'm from the UK. I feel we 'know' America because of our over-lapping histories and we see each others films and TV programmes right? And then I see things like this! I am stunned at how the US is and believe me I'm NO liberal. I'd be interested to know whether people think the crime rate has an over bearing influence on people's attitudes. Just as we (Brits) don't share your race issues (to the same extent I feel) we just don't get your gun laws. If someone in the UK said we should legalise guns tomorrow they'd be laughed out of town. I'd be amazed if ONE, just one MP sitting at Westminster thought this would be a good idea. And if any mainstream politician came out in support of it, their chance of being elected would be zero. Yet just 2 years ago me and my wife met 4 Americans in a hotel one evening, they were well-spoken and sounded intelligent and yet all 4 were adamant about the right to keep guns. Geez, but we just don't get it. Anyway, not trying to be provocative here but wish to ask a question. How welcome would a white family be moving in to a 'black' area? I get, there would be no 'sundown type' laws or police eyeing them up, but seriously, they would always be welcomed with open arms? And how do Asians and Hispanics fit in to those areas? In the UK, I wouldn't say areas are 'aggressively segregated' but it's more selective in a way, people seem to gravitate towards their own. The whole sociological reasons are very interesting!!
I’m a black Brit and FYI, the UK is just as racist america except it’s more covert and less interpersonal. They both share the same structure of systemic racism.
Hispanic is an ethnicity not a race. white, black, asians , etc can be hispanic. Why doesn’t anyone ever mention Native Americans? Did you forget that they are a race and exist? Another thing, people don’t know the difference between race, ethnicity, & nationality. 2021 and this is what we are still dealing with. I was expecting flying cars.
As an African, I don't know why they keep doing this. But what ever it is, I wish I could know the reason why. I know that most whites are not like that. But those whites that do segregate, may be it could be base on their experiences with a black or that they learned from their parents. What ever it is. They should realize that there are good black souls that would ever want any white person to succeed. No one has ever out lived the earth. People come and go. Even some whit folks still struggles to understand a black person, but how can you understand a black person, if you don't give him the chance to be understood.
