Simply amazing resorts. We have wanted to sty at this resort for a while no. One one of our cruises we stooped in Cozumel and booked a shore excursion to Xplor Adventure Park. It was an amazing day. Zip-lines galore, driving golf-carts through the jungle and caves, floating on a river through tunnels and an all you can eat buffet. Great family memories. Another nice video.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon here! We stayed at royalton chic for two days and got a tour of Xcaret Arte and we immediately switched hotels. Don’t get me wrong Royalton Chic was gorgeous but this is even better. It was so amazing it’s hard to explain to people how beautiful this place actually really is. It’s different than all the other all inclusive places for sure And with all the perks all inclusive fun it’s just a deal you can’t pass up. I recommend to anyone and everyone to stay here at least one time! You’ll be going back for sure!

Been here twice Xcaret Mexico. Going to Xcaret Arte next year. Good information on the video! Especially the FB fans page! ... Also, if you decide to go make sure you reserve the few parks that need reservation. On my 2nd last night i left xoxilmco for the end, example Friday night xoxilmco eat/dance/drink Saturday enjoy the resort whole day and sunday back home. Tips: bring water shoes. Go pro or cellphone with water pouch works. Even though is all inclusive I'll tip the staff $1 up $5. It really appreciated. And for the local parks you can do combine. in one day xenses/xplor & xcaret park is a whole day.

The exchange privileges are reportedly going to end in 2022. The HXArte guests were allowed access to HXMexico since Arte opened to guests before all of their restaurants/facilities were completed but now that Arte is fully operational the exchanges will stop next year. Some people are reporting that when they stay in HXArte that they are not allowed to dine in the reservation-required restaurants at HXMexico unless they are booked in Casa Artista. Some folks are reporting that guests staying in Casa Fuego in HXMexico have exchange privileges as do some higher-level members of the resorts. Some people have also heard that exchange privileges may continue for guests staying in Casa Fuego and Casa Artista after the general exchange privileges are ended. But, people are being told some many different things by the staff so there is no way of predicting what will actually happen when they stop the exchange privileges.

Took us just shy of an hour to get there from the airport. Its just south of playa. The van you show is private transport from airport xcaret offers for a fee. The transportation to the parks are buses called shaggy, because it has a grass roof.

We are staying at Xcaret Arte the beginning of next month (August). We are travelling there with our 18 year old daughter who is very "artsy". We will be together all the time, but I'm sure she's going to want to walk ahead of us. Thoughts? My husband and I stayed there in October 2020 and it was such a wonderful vacation. I tried the resort app and kept getting thrown off as soon as it opens up. Maybe they will fix it by the time our stay comes up. Hi Daria 👋 So exciting for you and your family! As you know... this place is pretty amazing and your daughter will love it, especially because of her art background! Every little detail in their designs are just amazing! Yes, unfortunately there was a shooting, and I cant say it won't every happen again, but I do believe they have increased security since this has happened. Generally these types of things are at a specific target, and still very scary, especially if you are there to witness it. If we took our 18 yr old, and you feel confident in their ability to always keep an eye out and try to stay where there is a crowd, along with a regular 'check-in', I think she will be fine. But I to would always want to be 'near by' or know where they are walking to/from. As you know, there can always be danger around any corner (just my opinion) and you just have to judge each scenario and feel the atmosphere around you. For the app, I would re-download it... sometimes the updates don't occur like they are supposed to and this freezes the app. The app is a HUGE help, especially for how big this place is! I know you are traveling soon and have already experienced Mexico, but here are a few tip when you visit and what to pack down below! The sun is quite a bit more intense than what we are used to, even in Florida! SPF Longsleeve shirts- when we were in Cancun and went swimming, especially when we swam with the Whale Sharks, these shirts saved us from getting fried! The sun is intense, and you don't want to get fried your first day in the sun! Here are my husband's preference ➡ amzn.to/3zmBoIh, and here is my preference ➡ amzn.to/3qz0jnJ Dry Bag Backpack- When you plan on going to a location where you will be in contact with water, this is a day saver. Great day pack for keeping clothes & electronics dry while out on excursions, especially at the Xcaret parks. Here is a small dry bag backpack that we primarily use ➡ amzn.to/3pyUEii and here is a larger backpack if we are taking towels & clothes that are bulkier ➡ amzn.to/3pyCey5Waterproof Camera- Primarily, all of our filming is done on our GoPro. I choose it over nearly every camera because of the quality of the images and videos, not to mention it is super compact & I can fit it in my pants pocket. This is really great when you need a quick charge, and it will self-charge via the solar portion of the charger (bonus). Just make sure you give it a good wall charge before you leave! amzn.to/3Hl9zTj SPF Lotion- I have SUPER sensitive skin and will break out from a sun rash if I get too much exposure (living in FL makes no sense because of this, but we love FL!), and Sunbum is the only lotion that I have had the best luck with. Not to mention, this will cost double in MX as well. It's also reef and ocean safe amzn.to/3qC42AU Water shoes- These are excellent for when you are walking down by the ocean at the end where there are rocks & corals, and excellent at the water parks too. They are super comfy and dry pretty quickly, and they have a nice sole for walking, like tennis shoes. Of course, you can use tennis shoes, but these dry way faster and are made specifically for water amzn.to/3mJXXRRSPF Chapstick- This will cost double down in MX and trust me, you will want it.Hat- Another must for a little sun protection2 Pairs of sunglasses- If you manage to lose or break one pair, you have a backup and don't have to buy another pair you don't like or pay double the price (this happens to me all the time lol). Insulated Cup/waterbottle- Keeping your beverages cold in MX is hard lolBring your own straw if you like straws- I typically like drinking out of a straw, but MX has NO straws (for the safety of the sea critters =)). So if you like to drink out of a straw, you will need to bring your own, because they are impossible to find. A few large ziplock baggies- I know this sounds silly, but these are great to have when you are coming home and still have wet bathing suits or dirty/wet shoes or clothes. Charcoal Pills- Whenever we travel to a different country and eat or drink foods that we have never tried before, we always take these Charcoal pills an hour before eating to help with digestion and to avoid any stomach issues from the food & drinks. amzn.to/3pB94hH Tips about Mexico that I think you should know DON'T DRINK THE TAP WATER - Bottled only! They don't have the proper filtration like the US, which will make you sick. Luckily Xcaret will supply multiple bottles for you... and we ALWAYS asked for extra when they cleaned our room. MEXICO IS KNOW FOR NEGOTIATION- For example, if you want to buy an item from the little street vendors or beach walkers, negotiate! They will tell you one price, but I suggest you negotiate and get the prices to a price you prefer 😉 I DON'T ADVISE WALKING AROUND THE STREETS AT NIGHT (unless you are with a group of people, of course) we walked on the beach a couple of nights and had no issues, but just be cautious. I don't think you will have any reason to be walking outside of the resort, but this is just a warning. We tend to stay in at night, unless we are with a large group. Better to be safe than sorry. THE WIFI AT THE AIRPORT IS TERRIBLE- I suggest you download whatever you need PRIOR to arriving/departing from the airport. Also, finding a wall charger is pretty hard as well! I suggest you take a portable charger with you (like this one), so you don't have to scroung around looking for an open outlet. CURRENCY- Mexico accepts Pesos & the US Dollar. If needed, we primarily used our travel credit card (capital one), took multiple small bills (1's & 5's) and didn't bother with Pesos. A great app to have handy is called 'Dollar to Peso'. If you want to only use pesos, you can either order some ahead of time at your local bank, OR you can exchange your US money when you are down in Cancun. The resort should have pesos, and I don't think they charge a fee to exchange them, if you are wanting peso's. TAXI'S ONLY TAKE CASH (USD or Peso), no card - Not sure why you would need a taxi, but just in case, be prepared with cash & negotiate a price prior to getting in the taxi. Enjoy your trip 🙌🙌
With the time share, I don't think you can combine with Costco, but I have been wrong about these things! Generally with time shares, they have their own booking entity & won't allow outside bookings to be combined. Costco does a REALLY great job when it comes to travel and discounts... the best part is not only the discount, but you also get Costco shopping gift cards too (sometimes). Hello hello! So sorry I just now saw your message! It was buried =( Oh yes! I have heard that a few times! As far as dining, are you staying at Arte (Adults only) or at Mexico (family oriented)? Both have different restaurants and since we were there last, if you were staying at Arte (certain rooms), you could have access to all of the restaurants on the Mexico property as well (sorry, I probably just made that a bit more overwhelming). There are a couple restaurants ( that are fine dining that are not included with your stay (sadly), and I'll be honest, the food on the entire resort is absolutely delicious and you can't go wrong. Ha' at Mexico is an additional charge but people raved about it... and along with Xin-Gao, but this one is included with your stay. There is a 3rd fine dining restaurant at Mexico, but it is only exclusive to guests that are staying in the Casa Fuego section (not sure what section you are staying?). If you are staying at Arte, the fine dining options are Xaak (additional cost) and everyone raves about this one as well, along with Tah-Xido (included) and again, people loved this restaurant as well =) If you haven't already, I would suggest downloading the Hotel Xcaret mobile app on your phone and do a little exploring. It's a very interactive map that tells you all about the resorts, the restaurants, the parks & you can make reservations thru it as well. Have you guys had a chance to check out the blog we wrote? This place is awesome. Some tips i would recommend is that some restaurants require reservations we did it a week early. Also some of the tours require reservation. . Although check in is till 3pm we arrived from Tijuana ( cheaper than flying from Los Angeles ) at 6 am and we started enjoying the resort amenities . We went to Park Xcaret wich is the closest and came back at 3pm. Lookers and food evertyhing is included at the parks.

@@AdventureEncounters you can make reservations by sending email ( i would that way you have something in writting just in case ) they have the email on their website i dont have it on hand. They have a concierge and upon arrival i suggest you book any activities like xichen itza , tulum etc. also there i paid for the dolphin encounter at xcaret those activities are not included in the all included

If you stay in Arte you won’t be able to acess the Mexico side. To get access to both resorts, you have to stay at Artistas which is another tier upgrade on top of Arte

Yep! Actually, we were walking around the mall and we stopped at an information booth and he told us about the tour. He also gave us free Cocoa Bongo tickets for attending, but people told us the show isnt as good as it was prior to covid. They gave us a free taxi ride to and from the resort. The people at the timeshare are pretty pushy (fyi), so be prepared for that. Such an amazing resort, but I would just stay there a night or two and avoid the presentation lol. If it's just adults traveling, I would recommend Hotel Xcaret Arte - its the adults only resort! When you stay at Arte, you also have access to Hotel Xcaret Mexico (which is right next to Arte). Its the opposite. If you stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico, you do not have access to Hotel Xcaret Arte. This is because Arte is the adults only resort, and Mexico is family friendly. Hope thaay helps 👍
I saw a review on TripAdvisor where a customer booked a family reunion and he was the only one at the adults only Xcaret Arte and had no access to Xcaret Mexico where his family stayed. He would either have to move to Xcaret Mexico for a massive upcharge or pay extra $200pp/day for access. According to him they changed the policy in October 2022.
When you arrive, I would check with the front desk. When we were there, you did have to make reservations to a few of the parks. This wasn't an issue before covid, but now it is unfortunately. Simply amazing resorts. We have wanted to sty at this resort for a while no. One one of our cruises we stooped in Cozumel and booked a shore excursion to Xplor Adventure Park. It was an amazing day. Zip-lines galore, driving golf-carts through the jungle and caves, floating on a river through tunnels and an all you can eat buffet. Great family memories. Another nice video.

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon here! We stayed at royalton chic for two days and got a tour of Xcaret Arte and we immediately switched hotels. Don’t get me wrong Royalton Chic was gorgeous but this is even better. It was so amazing it’s hard to explain to people how beautiful this place actually really is. It’s different than all the other all inclusive places for sure And with all the perks all inclusive fun it’s just a deal you can’t pass up. I recommend to anyone and everyone to stay here at least one time! You’ll be going back for sure!

Been here twice Xcaret Mexico. Going to Xcaret Arte next year. Good information on the video! Especially the FB fans page! ... Also, if you decide to go make sure you reserve the few parks that need reservation. On my 2nd last night i left xoxilmco for the end, example Friday night xoxilmco eat/dance/drink Saturday enjoy the resort whole day and sunday back home.
Tips: bring water shoes. Go pro or cellphone with water pouch works.
Even though is all inclusive I'll tip the staff $1 up $5. It really appreciated.
And for the local parks you can do combine. in one day xenses/xplor & xcaret park is a whole day.

The exchange privileges are reportedly going to end in 2022. The HXArte guests were allowed access to HXMexico since Arte opened to guests before all of their restaurants/facilities were completed but now that Arte is fully operational the exchanges will stop next year. Some people are reporting that when they stay in HXArte that they are not allowed to dine in the reservation-required restaurants at HXMexico unless they are booked in Casa Artista.
Some folks are reporting that guests staying in Casa Fuego in HXMexico have exchange privileges as do some higher-level members of the resorts. Some people have also heard that exchange privileges may continue for guests staying in Casa Fuego and Casa Artista after the general exchange privileges are ended.
But, people are being told some many different things by the staff so there is no way of predicting what will actually happen when they stop the exchange privileges.

It's a bummer that they will no longer be allowing people to get all access! It's a massive resort and having the ability to gain access to the entire resort is very very cool! Took us just shy of an hour to get there from the airport. Its just south of playa. The van you show is private transport from airport xcaret offers for a fee. The transportation to the parks are buses called shaggy, because it has a grass roof.

Hello and thank you for all the great information. Wonderful video! How safe would you say the Xcaret Resort and parks are? Someone mentioned a shooting? We are staying at Xcaret Arte the beginning of next month (August). We are travelling there with our 18 year old daughter who is very "artsy". We will be together all the time, but I'm sure she's going to want to walk ahead of us. Thoughts? My husband and I stayed there in October 2020 and it was such a wonderful vacation. I tried the resort app and kept getting thrown off as soon as it opens up. Maybe they will fix it by the time our stay comes up. So exciting for you and your family! As you know... this place is pretty amazing and your daughter will love it, especially because of her art background! Every little detail in their designs are just amazing! Yes, unfortunately there was a shooting, and I cant say it won't every happen again, but I do believe they have increased security since this has happened. Generally these types of things are at a specific target, and still very scary, especially if you are there to witness it. If we took our 18 yr old, and you feel confident in their ability to always keep an eye out and try to stay where there is a crowd, along with a regular 'check-in', I think she will be fine. But I to would always want to be 'near by' or know where they are walking to/from. As you know, there can always be danger around any corner (just my opinion) and you just have to judge each scenario and feel the atmosphere around you. For the app, I would re-download it... sometimes the updates don't occur like they are supposed to and this freezes the app. The app is a HUGE help, especially for how big this place is! I know you are traveling soon and have already experienced Mexico, but here are a few tip when you visit and what to pack down below! Items to pack (other than your normal clothes)
Here are some items we took & suggest taking (other than the normal )- I added links to each item to show you the items we use/ prefer. The sun is quite a bit more intense than what we are used to, even in Florida!
SPF Longsleeve shirts- when we were in Cancun and went swimming, especially when we swam with the Whale Sharks, these shirts saved us from getting fried! Dry Bag Backpack- When you plan on going to a location where you will be in contact with water, this is a day saver. Great day pack for keeping clothes & electronics dry while out on excursions, especially at the Xcaret parks. Portable Charger- When we are out on excursions and even waiting in the airport/airplane, we have this little baby handy and ready to charge our electronics (phones, cameras, etc). This is really great when you need a quick charge, and it will self-charge via the solar portion of the charger (bonus). SPF Lotion- I have SUPER sensitive skin and will break out from a sun rash if I get too much exposure (living in FL makes no sense because of this, but we love FL!), and Sunbum is the only lotion that I have had the best luck with. Not to mention, this will cost double in MX as well. It's also reef and ocean safe amzn.to/3qC42AU
Water shoes- These are excellent for when you are walking down by the ocean at the end where there are rocks & corals, and excellent at the water parks too. They are super comfy and dry pretty quickly, and they have a nice sole for walking, like tennis shoes. Of course, you can use tennis shoes, but these dry way faster and are made specifically for water amzn.to/3mJXXRRSPF
Chapstick- This will cost double down in MX and trust me, you will want it.Hat- Another must for a little sun protection2 Pairs of sunglasses- If you manage to lose or break one pair, you have a backup and don't have to buy another pair you don't like or pay double the price (this happens to me all the time lol).
Insulated Cup/waterbottle- Keeping your beverages cold in MX is hard lolBring your own straw if you like straws- I typically like drinking out of a straw, but MX has NO straws (for the safety of the sea critters =)). So if you like to drink out of a straw, you will need to bring your own, because they are impossible to find.
A few large ziplock baggies- I know this sounds silly, but these are great to have when you are coming home and still have wet bathing suits or dirty/wet shoes or clothes.
Charcoal Pills- Whenever we travel to a different country and eat or drink foods that we have never tried before, we always take these Charcoal pills an hour before eating to help with digestion and to avoid any stomach issues from the food & drinks. amzn.to/3pB94hH
Tips about Mexico that I think you should know
DON'T DRINK THE TAP WATER - Bottled only! They don't have the proper filtration like the US, which will make you sick. Luckily Xcaret will supply multiple bottles for you... and we ALWAYS asked for extra when they cleaned our room.
MEXICO IS KNOW FOR NEGOTIATION- For example, if you want to buy an item from the little street vendors or beach walkers, negotiate! They will tell you one price, but I suggest you negotiate and get the prices to a price you prefer 😉
I DON'T ADVISE WALKING AROUND THE STREETS AT NIGHT (unless you are with a group of people, of course) we walked on the beach a couple of nights and had no issues, but just be cautious. I don't think you will have any reason to be walking outside of the resort, but this is just a warning. We tend to stay in at night, unless we are with a large group. Better to be safe than sorry.
THE WIFI AT THE AIRPORT IS TERRIBLE- I suggest you download whatever you need PRIOR to arriving/departing from the airport. Also, finding a wall charger is pretty hard as well! I suggest you take a portable charger with you (like this one), so you don't have to scroung around looking for an open outlet.
CURRENCY- Mexico accepts Pesos & the US Dollar. If needed, we primarily used our travel credit card (capital one), took multiple small bills (1's & 5's) and didn't bother with Pesos. A great app to have handy is called 'Dollar to Peso'. If you want to only use pesos, you can either order some ahead of time at your local bank, OR you can exchange your US money when you are down in Cancun. The resort should have pesos, and I don't think they charge a fee to exchange them, if you are wanting peso's.
TAXI'S ONLY TAKE CASH (USD or Peso), no card - Not sure why you would need a taxi, but just in case, be prepared with cash & negotiate a price prior to getting in the taxi.

With the time share, I don't think you can combine with Costco, but I have been wrong about these things! Generally with time shares, they have their own booking entity & won't allow outside bookings to be combined. Costco does a REALLY great job when it comes to travel and discounts... the best part is not only the discount, but you also get Costco shopping gift cards too (sometimes). That's actually a really unique part about the Hotel Xcaret... you get a mixture of both... beautiful beach with soft sand and also a rocky area (larger rock & coral). The hotel zone, you primarily will get soft beach areas unless you walk all the way to the end near the jetty (towards the downtown area). Have you already booked a room at the Hotel Xcaret? Hello hello! So sorry I just now saw your message! It was buried =( Oh yes! I have heard that a few times!
As far as dining, are you staying at Arte (Adults only) or at Mexico (family oriented)? Both have different restaurants and since we were there last, if you were staying at Arte (certain rooms), you could have access to all of the restaurants on the Mexico property as well (sorry, I probably just made that a bit more overwhelming). There are a couple restaurants ( that are fine dining that are not included with your stay (sadly), and I'll be honest, the food on the entire resort is absolutely delicious and you can't go wrong. Ha' at Mexico is an additional charge but people raved about it... and along with Xin-Gao, but this one is included with your stay. There is a 3rd fine dining restaurant at Mexico, but it is only exclusive to guests that are staying in the Casa Fuego section (not sure what section you are staying?).
If you are staying at Arte, the fine dining options are Xaak (additional cost) and everyone raves about this one as well, along with Tah-Xido (included) and again, people loved this restaurant as well =)
If you haven't already, I would suggest downloading the Hotel Xcaret mobile app on your phone and do a little exploring. It's a very interactive map that tells you all about the resorts, the restaurants, the parks & you can make reservations thru it as well.

This place is awesome. Some tips i would recommend is that some restaurants require reservations we did it a week early. Also some of the tours require reservation. . Although check in is till 3pm we arrived from Tijuana ( cheaper than flying from Los Angeles ) at 6 am and we started enjoying the resort amenities . We went to Park Xcaret wich is the closest and came back at 3pm. Lookers and food evertyhing is included at the parks.

@@AdventureEncounters you can make reservations by sending email ( i would that way you have something in writting just in case ) they have the email on their website i dont have it on hand. They have a concierge and upon arrival i suggest you book any activities like xichen itza , tulum etc. also there i paid for the dolphin encounter at xcaret those activities are not included in the all included

If you stay in Arte you won’t be able to acess the Mexico side. To get access to both resorts, you have to stay at Artistas which is another tier upgrade on top of Arte

Hello I heard you say you were on a timeshare tour? What benefit did you get? And where did you book the time share tour through?
Yep! Actually, we were walking around the mall and we stopped at an information booth and he told us about the tour. He also gave us free Cocoa Bongo tickets for attending, but people told us the show isnt as good as it was prior to covid. They gave us a free taxi ride to and from the resort. The people at the timeshare are pretty pushy (fyi), so be prepared for that. Such an amazing resort, but I would just stay there a night or two and avoid the presentation lol. Are you planning a trip to Mexico?

Its the opposite. If you stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico, you do not have access to Hotel Xcaret Arte. This is because Arte is the adults only resort, and Mexico is family friendly. Hope thaay helps 👍
I saw a review on TripAdvisor where a customer booked a family reunion and he was the only one at the adults only Xcaret Arte and had no access to Xcaret Mexico where his family stayed. He would either have to move to Xcaret Mexico for a massive upcharge or pay extra $200pp/day for access. According to him they changed the policy in October 2022.

When you arrive, I would check with the front desk. When we were there, you did have to make reservations to a few of the parks. This wasn't an issue before covid, but now it is unfortunately. What room did you book? Would love to hear your thoughts! Appreciate you stopping by!

Both are great picks, but if we were to book a suite, we would do the swim up... this way you can jump in the river anytime and cool off... plus if you grab one of the kayaks or pattle boards, you have direct access to your room and you can park them at ypir room 👍 What month are you guys going?
