I was just looking at Disneyland Paris holidays and stressing how to get from Paris to the park as I'd never done it this way before and you go and upload this! Clearly a sign to book I think 😉
Just for people not to be confused, there’s a huge difference between RER and Metro. To keep the parallel you established in the video, RER is more like an Overground. It’s a suburbs train that has some stations in the city. The Paris Tube is the « Métro » and it’s almost exclusively in the city of Paris, even though some stations are in the closer suburbs. It’s important not to be confused between both
I'd call the RER the lighrail. More suited to suburban areas. But well, in Rotterdam area the metro becomes a tram overground venturing out of the city, both to the west and the north-west - a fairly new line to The Hague. So what is a metro and what is lightrail? Yeah. Okay. But in Paris this is definately the RER and not le métro.
Awww Sam that brings back memories. We travelled back from DLP to London on the Eurostar via Gare du Nord. It was one of the most stressful moments in our travel history. It was peak hour and you know just what I mean when I say the trains were packed. Travelling with two large suitcases, we got a little disoriented changing lines, then we managed to get on the D train only to realise we were going the wrong direction 🤦♀️. I’m usually the one who takes the lead but I was so stressed as we were so close to missing our Eurostar departure time I had a melt down. A very kind gentleman who spoke only very limited English managed to get us on the right platform back in the right direction. Usually peak hour everyone is trying to get home so no one is really wanting to help others but we were so grateful to that man. Earlier in our Paris trip trying to find our hotel we got lost and a lovely French couple walked with us to our hotel. I have nothing but respect for the people of Paris.
So refreshing to read your comment, as opposed to the tired cliches spread by people who don't even know Paris. I've been a frequent visitor - and occassional short term resident - for over 30 years now (my son is actually French) and that's exactly my experience too.
Actually, guess what? At the start of the journey is Gare Du Nord. There are trains from all over Europe that go to that station. In my case for example there is a train from Brussels to that. And I can take a train near me to Brussels. Actually, I can book a ticket from Brussels straight to Disneyland. How you get from your house in the Netherlands to Brussels is another thing, but it's possible. And we're working on more international trains and no more booking. Just like you use trains in the Netherlands and Belgium. But I'm pretty sure you can take a regular train from Breda, NL to Brussels, BE now. And even from Kortrijk, BE to Lille, FR. So technically you can go to Paris via Lille without booking. Welcome to Europe!
I have been dying to find such a detailed video of getting from gare du nord to disneyland, so glad I found this. We have always used uber and I cannot believe how cheap the rer is. Thanks so much :)
Thank you so much for this. We are planning a vacation this summer to London, Paris and then various cities through Italy and will be making this exact trip! This was so helpful! I literally would love to hire you as our guide. You are just a gem!
I go next week to Paris then on to Disney. Never been before and I have serious anxiety with tubes etc. this was a massive help and calmed my nerves. Thank you soooo much!!! 😁😁
Loved your video!! Extremely thorough, easy to understand, definitely eliminates a lot of stress in getting to Disneyland Paris for an upcoming Christmas visit in Paris and Disneyland Paris!!! SUPERB!👌🏽
No way! I was actually searching for this special topic (or to go from DLP to CDG airport) this morning and now I get one from one of my favorite vloggers. Thank you and always have nice and safe trips!
Thank you so much. My family and I are traveling from the states to London, and then on Eurostar to Paris and then Paris Disneyland. Thank you for helping us figure out our trip
I just started watching your videos. Thanks for making them. I'm 58 and I live in Dallas Texas, USA and I've been to Disney World about 100 times and I feel the same way you do when I arrive - I've left the 'real' world behind and now I'm in the 'Disney bubble'. I've NEVER had a bad Disney trip - it's my happy place. :)
Hi John, and welcome to my channel :) It's such a great feeling, isn't it - no matter which Disney park, it always feel magical. I hope to visit your home park of Disney World again in the new year.
Thank you so much for this video. My gf and I are going to Paris in about two weeks and I’m planning ahead so we don’t get lost. We won’t be travelling from this station but it was still super helpful!🖤
Omg Sam, this was so helpful! Usually take the Thalys from the Netherlands directly to DLP but due to COVID, this year I have to go from Gare du Nord to DLP but I know exactly where to go! Which is going to make it a lot less stressful! Thank you and have a lovely trip, cannot wait to watch the rest of your videos and get excited for mine next month ✨🥰
I usually don’t leave comments on RUclips, but this was very helpful more than you’ll ever know. Thank you so much you put your mind at ease with this video what are upcoming holiday
There were no changes. I pretty much followed this video exactly. THANK YOU. I had the best time :D Btw when you guys decide to stay the whole day till the fire works, leave 10-15 min before the show ends because the train and just exiting Disney will be a horrible experience 😂😂😂 especially when your exhausted and get back to the hotel at 1 am 🥹

Thank you for making this! We're from the US and planning a huge UK/France trip. We've planned a day at Disneyland Paris during our few days we're spending in Paris and I've been so overwhelmed trying to figure out transportation.
Another great video!! I’ve recently discovered your channel while doing some research before visiting Disneyland Paris back in September and I have been hooked on watching your videos ever since , especially watching all of your previous Disney trips! Thank you for all your lovely videos Sam🥰
Thank you, Sam! I'm planning a trip to Paris for my 50th birthday. (First time outside the USA) And, I want to spend my 50th in Disneyland Paris. I've grown up in San Diego, California (south of Los Angeles) and have been to Disneyland all my life. Even Walkt Disney World several times, too. And now it's time to see the other parks & travel the world. So, thank you for this video showing how to get there. It will make me feel at ease when I finally get there & know where I'm going.
Ahh how exciting that you’re planning your 50th in Disneyland Paris! 🎉 You’re most welcome, hope you have an amazing time travelling to DLP and visiting the international parks 😊 I myself, can’t wait to visit Disneyland (California) again hopefully soon 🙌🏼
Thank you so much for this video. It is incredibly helpful. I'm going solo later this year and I was so worried about this journey but you've really put me at ease and answered every question I had.
Took the EXACT same trip in 2012, took the train from London to Paris then to Disneyland Paris stayed at Hotel at Disneyland(not the best). It definitely was an experience that for an American traveling internationally for the first time, but I definitely took a Taxi back to Paris to get on Eurostar to get back to London.
Thank you Sam. This has put my mind at ease. I’ve accidentally bought Eurostar tickets from St Pancras to Paris. I realise now I prob should have bought tickets to Lille. But never mind first time to Disney so I’m learning as I go! X
Such a very helpful and informative video Sam, I'm hoping next year me and my bf can take this exact route to Disneyland Paris^^ keep yourself warm, stay safe and have fun Sam😊
I’m french, i live in Paris and I go often to Disneyland but I had a good moment looking ur video, ur a really good guide. Hope u had a wonderful time at DLP !
Watched this last year when we went and just watched again as we going again this weekend ! It made it so simple and was so very helpful! Thanks so much for taking the trouble to do 😊
Just back and used your video to find our way as this is the first time we went via Gare du nord. It was so easy. We were staying at val d'europe and just selected the ticket to marne la vallee and got of 1 stop before. It was 5 euros each way. not sure if it has gone down in price or if it is seasonal. So Easy 1 stop south to chatelet des halles then got on train on opposite platform. Trains were very frequent during the day and we never waited more than 5 mins either direction. Thankyou again for this really useful video.
Hi Sam Thanks to your video, we were able to travel to DLP for first time from Paris without any problem. Our trip was very smooth and enjoyable ! we are actually planning our next trip !!! hopefully to see you there !!
Sam hi!!! I can't thank you enough for this video!!! You saved our lifes making possible to go from Disney to Paris du Noord to be able to take the Thalys back home. Maybe it's a good idea to make a new one!!! We only hot a little confused searching the international trains... But the RER!!!! Thanks thanks 🙏👍👍👍 thanks!!!!!!
Hi. I really appreciate your videos. its very informative and detailed. Thank you so much.... Ill be travelling this coming MAY.. Thank you for ur videos, its really helpful especially for me as a first timer;) ❤😍
This is so helpful thank you I’ve booked for February and was so worried about this since I’m going to Disneyland during the rest of my Paris holiday :)
Just seen this video as we've only just found out the direct train is cancelled and the travel agent has explained we have to go from London St Pancreas to Paris Gard du Nord then via RER to Disneyland. I have to say this video is by far the best one and much better explained and easier to follow the video of where to go. Great work Sam, we'll recommend the Travel Agent to email this to people instead of the one they sent which isn't as good as this one! Gold (Mickey Shaped ;) )Star!
@@Sam4G0d Fingers crossed that nothing changes with constant Covid disruptions! As long as the All you buffets are running I’ll be happy as they look amazing in the videos 😆
I've stumbled across your channel while researching for a disneyland trip in October and I just wanted to say thank you so much. This is the exact journey I'll be doing with my son when we come and although I still feel super anxious it's so nice knowing what to expect x
It won't work. There are no more paper tickets, it's all virtual now. You will want to purchase a "navigo easy" pass, costing 2€ and then "charge" it with any ride you want to take in the city. I think automated machines sell the navigo cards, you don't have to go at the desk.
@Desi365 sorry, it won't work? Are you saying the route Sam has taken is not the same? Or literally just the fact that the way tickets are bought now are different?
Very helpful! I’m planning my first trip to Disneyland Paris this summer. It was helpful to see the sign for the incoming trains - I would have misread it and gotten on the wrong train but now I feel prepared. Thank you!
loved this video. I am going to Disneyland Paris in march next year, and it is my first time going without my parents. so I was really worried about the route from Paris to Disney and this made it so much better.
When I went in 2017, I remember I had to change platforms in Châtelet Les Halles, so I had to take a flight of stairs. But there was a lot of construction going on at that time there, so I'm glad to see that you don't need to do that anymore. The station is so crowded and really big, so it's a lot easier now.
thank you so much!! very helpful, watch your video when i was on may way to Disneyland and did it step by step it's really easy with your clear explanation. keep going ;)
This is super helpful! I’m going to Disneyland Paris in the fall & have been trying to figure out if I should take the train or pay for the Disney shuttle. This makes me feel confident enough in my ability to get there on my own from the train.
I'm watching this almost a year later and it was super helpful, because the train that goes directly to the disneyland park from the netherlands only rides on friday and saturday now since covid and it does go to paris nord so this was amazing and helpful to see how i can get to the park!
just want to say thank you for making this video = I watched it over and over before our trip. We only had a few hours to spend at DLP but gut there quick and easy thanks to your instructions . . .
Ahhh you have no idea how helpful this is. I bought a package and we are going next Monday to Disney Paris. We were meant to go straight from St Pancreas to Villages directly but because of restrictions, we have to stop in Paris as we are coming from London. And after that we are meant to get the train into Disney. I had no clue how this was gonna go as it was the first time for us doing it this way. Before we had done it by coach so never had to do train. Thank you so much for this.
I'm going for the first time in over ten years at the end of next January with a friend and we've booked to travel this way - my pal has done this exact trip many times but it'll be my first time going via the RER so I was a bit anxious; this video has really helped me relax about it so thank you! I don't like not knowing what is happening so this has really eased my mind, it's so helpful to be able to see what to do and when if you've never been before :>
Brilliant video, really useful thank you! You explain everything so clearly. I will watch this again next year before we do this trip (fingers crossed!)
16:36 And you can also see you can change to A at Gare de Lyon. So don't fret if you missed Châteles les Halles. Gare de Lyon is up next to put you on the right track.
This is REALLY helpful. Me and a friend of mine are planning to visit Disneyland this summer and we were already stressed because we had no idea how we could get there. Your video is so helpful, at the moment we are really confident to make it do Disneyland, thanks to you! ☺️ One small questions: Can you get off the train one station before Disneyland without any problems with the ticket, or do you have to get out at the last stop?
Ahh you're most welcome, Marie! So glad this video has been helpful for your upcoming trip :) I'm pretty sure it should be ok to get off one stop early - but never tried it myself x
Very helpful! Good thing I have found this video before I purchase a package ticket of Disneyland + transfer. It cost a packet mate!! 😂 Oh you just made me save almost 150 quids! So brilliant!!!!
This is amazing thank you, we have booked for dec 27 to the 31st and we have just been told Eurostar isn’t running direct to Disney that week so we need to take the same Journey you did it’s our first time at Disney and we were dreading it, this has defiantly put my mind at rest 🙂
Wonderfully detailed video! We’ll be headed there in a few short weeks and doing a day trip to Disney so this is very helpful. I haven’t been to DisneyParis since it first opened so looking forward to returning 30 years later!
Lovely video, worth noting you need to take the RER B or D in the south direction from Gare du Nord and then East on the A line from Chatelet les Halles
Watching Spring 2024 and preparing for our Disneyland Paris trip soon! I very much appreciate the level of detail of your video! Thank you!
So happy it's been helpful :) Hope you have a fantastic DLP trip!
I was just looking at Disneyland Paris holidays and stressing how to get from Paris to the park as I'd never done it this way before and you go and upload this! Clearly a sign to book I think 😉

It looks like just the tickets have changed
@hollypowner8167 oh that's OK, I can cope with that 😅
Very helpful.. Can’t be more please with the sneak peeks in what my family can expect when we visit in Dec..
Thank you so much for making this video..
Very helpful! I’m planning my first trip to Disneyland Paris this summer. It was helpful to see the sign for the incoming trains - I would have misread it and gotten on the wrong train but now I feel prepared. Thank you!
You're most welcome! Glad it was helpful :)
loved this video. I am going to Disneyland Paris in march next year, and it is my first time going without my parents. so I was really worried about the route from Paris to Disney and this made it so much better.
So glad to read that Shannon - hope you have the best time! x
Love your explication…. Im going write now tanks to you
When I went in 2017, I remember I had to change platforms in Châtelet Les Halles, so I had to take a flight of stairs.
Glad it was helpful :)
This is super helpful! I’m going to Disneyland Paris in the fall & have been trying to figure out if I should take the train or pay for the Disney shuttle. This makes me feel confident enough in my ability to get there on my own from the train.
Aw I'm so glad it's been helpful for your trip x
I'm watching this almost a year later and it was super helpful, because the train that goes directly to the disneyland park from the netherlands only rides on friday and saturday now since covid and it does go to paris nord so this was amazing and helpful to see how i can get to the park!
just want to say thank you for making this video = I watched it over and over before our trip. We only had a few hours to spend at DLP but gut there quick and easy thanks to your instructions . . .
This was excellent and we are going to do this exact same route in March 2022!!! You're videos are so fun to watch!
Thanks so much, James! :)
Thanks Sam, I’ve always avoided going to Disney by train cause of how big the train station seems and chaotic. Maybe a trip is due!
Thanks for watching and glad it might have convicted you to try it ☺️
Ahhh you have no idea how helpful this is.
So glad it's been helpful! :)
2024 going to Paris.. And Paris Disney. BUCKET LIST GOALS BABY!
🎉🎉🎉
I'm going for the first time in over ten years at the end of next January with a friend and we've booked to travel this way - my pal has done this exact trip many times but it'll be my first time going via the RER so I was a bit anxious; this video has really helped me relax about it so thank you! I don't like not knowing what is happening so this has really eased my mind, it's so helpful to be able to see what to do and when if you've never been before :>
Aw so glad the video has helped, Libby :) I know what you mean about wanting to know what to expect in advance - hope you. have an amazing trip! x
Brilliant video, really useful thank you! You explain everything so clearly. I will watch this again next year before we do this trip (fingers crossed!)
Ah thank you so much Lynn :) Hope it does help before your trip x
This is huge help for me as I plan my trip. Thank you so much!
Most welcome :)
Just what I was looking for❤So informative and clear, thank you so much

this video is so helpful, me and my partner watched it prior and whilst navigating our way through the RER! thank you so much
Ahh you're most welcome, Jessica! :)
16:36 And you can also see you can change to A at Gare de Lyon.
So don't fret if you missed Châteles les Halles. Gare de Lyon is up next to put you on the right track.
I love RER A, RER B and RER D by the way, i like the video ! And i live in France and i live at Torcy 0:39 but TGV can go to MLV- Chessy
Brilliant. Makes the journey less scary. Flying over from Australia. Very informative
Thank you Emma x
SO HELPFUL! we are going In 2 days and I'm so glad I found this! literally the most helpful ever Sam!
Ahh you're most welcome, Katie :)
This is REALLY helpful. Me and a friend of mine are planning to visit Disneyland this summer and we were already stressed because we had no idea how we could get there. Your video is so helpful, at the moment we are really confident to make it do Disneyland, thanks to you! ☺️
One small questions: Can you get off the train one station before Disneyland without any problems with the ticket, or do you have to get out at the last stop?
Ahh you're most welcome, Marie! So glad this video has been helpful for your upcoming trip :)
I'm pretty sure it should be ok to get off one stop early - but never tried it myself x
Wow, My best friend, Thank you for your hard work in making the video. I enjoyed the good video. Have a happy day.
Very helpful! Good thing I have found this video before I purchase a package ticket of Disneyland + transfer. It cost a packet mate!! 😂 Oh you just made me save almost 150 quids! So brilliant!!!!
Thanks for the video! Traveling from Eiffel Tower to DLP next week (first time to Paris in 32 years!) and your video was very informative!
This is excellent thank you Sam! We may end up having to use the RER so this is so helpful x
You're most welcome, Emily :)
Nice one for doing the video because I'm planning on working at Disneyland Paris in the future
Exciting! :)
This is amazing thank you, we have booked for dec 27 to the 31st and we have just been told Eurostar isn’t running direct to Disney that week so we need to take the same Journey you did it’s our first time at Disney and we were dreading it, this has defiantly put my mind at rest 🙂
So glad this has put your mind at rest, Jade :) Thank you for watching x
Amazing! Totally put our minds at rest for doing something new!
Glad xx
Thanks for this very informative vlog, we are planning a trip to France and going to DLP from Paris. Hope you had a magical time at DLP
Thank you - glad it's been helpful x
So helpful! You’re amazing❤
Wonderfully detailed video! We’ll be headed there in a few short weeks and doing a day trip to Disney so this is very helpful. I haven’t been to DisneyParis since it first opened so looking forward to returning 30 years later!
Thanks so much, Charles :) Glad you found it helpful x
Thank you so much! We're taking this exact journey, plus a stop at Torcy, at the beginning of Jan 2022
You’re most welcome x
Lovely video, worth noting you need to take the RER B or D in the south direction from Gare du Nord and then East on the A line from Chatelet les Halles
Thank you! ☺️
