    Arr...! That warning noise from the dash, it nearly tips me over the edge every time I hear it unexpectedly ! I have a LF45 in the workshop at the moment with a adblue problem, nearly a day's work.....wish I could compress it to a 8min vid !😆. Great diagnosis as always.

      Hi Darren 👋 thanks for the comment and for watching 😎
      Most people get tinnitus when they get older......I'm convinced that sound will be what I will hear 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
      What was your problem? If I spent a day doing a problem, questions would be asked!
      In one hand, I'm to exhaust all available resources in the dealership, and in the other, anything more than 4 hours is to speak to daf directly on the matter 🫠

    • @darrenhearn1365
      @darrenhearn1365 Год назад +1

      Sorry for the late reply but I only looked at this prompted by your new vid. Questions were asked but I work for myself so I answered them!😆 It had a adblue emulator neatly hidden, diagnostic tool didn't like it and threw me off track!

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Год назад

      @Darren Hearn well done for finding it in the end. I've had emulators fitted before. Luckily, it had stuff unplugged and was still working 🤣🫣

      I've tried to live my diagnostic life by this whole "Test Don't change" philosophy and even though its not the quickest way to the answer it certainly seems to be the most methodical and cheaper way to rectification.

    Well done, buddy. I learned about LIN - this trucks are still rare around me, it is good to know problems before they reach the service. Can you explain on xf105 about can connection check. VIC pin D22 wire 3818 blue. I have several issues and fault disappears when put 24V on it 😂

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Год назад

      Hey mate, I hope you're doing well 🫡. I hope this helps you one day as LIN will become more prevalent in comms in future truck technology.
      Have you got to the bottom of that as-tronic water contamination yet?
      As for your wire on VIC, it's called a heartbeat signal. This is a single wire that runs through various ecus and checks for their presence in the system, basically. Official repair is to identify your O/C and repair.
      Unofficial repair is to add an ignition live to the wire at the bulkhead 😅

    Wouldn’t the EAS blowfuse also have a fault or derate?

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  Год назад

      Hey thanks for the comment and for watching the video.
      Yes the EAS did have a fault. Hence, the engine derate and engine warning on the dash in the beginning.
      I believe this fuse had blown but I didn't concern myself with it or fault codes relating to it as once I'd replaced it any faults o this system had become inactive and I didn't bother looking into them unfortunately I was just concerned with what I has left as active faults

      This is you using your head, asking for help 👌. If you were going to change an alternator, would you first check it was charging the truck? Or just blow 500 quid on an alternator, then send it to Daf as the parts cannon didn't work? My guess is you would try and educate yourself on how the system works, such as ring Adams morey or do some basic testing. Unfortunately, we're becoming an industry of fitters.....fit these pads.....fit this oil filter 😮‍💨. I'm lucky that I've had over 10 years on this product and can pass this testing onto you guys and through courses with remit training now. Hopefully, this will help people, help our industry, and prevent things like this from happening in the future
