I’ve been waiting for this. My eyes when you said you lent $20K. I know it helps but wow. It’s so amazing when you have the money to do something like that. Adding $100 if they don’t meet deadlines isn’t crazy because people take advantage. Great on you teaching your daughter early. I wish I too had people to teach me when I was young about finance in general but definitely credit cards. You conquered this challenge.
I couldn't do it. My frequent borrower friend ghosted me after I made pay me back after borrowing several times without repaying.
Just a thought, instead of tossing them. What if you sold the “trash” ones in a discounted set?
I hate how bad the trash ones are.

@@smokinhranch370 I hate to have to throw them out too. The amount of them I got before that weren’t closed on both sides and there’s nothing we can do with them when that happens.

Im definitely going to do my 100 envelope challenge like this one because it fits my budget and I can do it multiple times in a year versus once a year the traditional way. And I’m excited the challenge is coming back to your shop the ombré is beautiful 🩷💜🩵
You are definitely a trend setter because I started doing what I call the Low Income 100 Envelope Challenge 😊😊. It fits my budget more so than the original version.

Fave!! I completed this exact challenge and I over stuffed a little bit so instead of $5050 I have $5200.
A lesson I learned and instilled in my kids: Never let someone borrow money. If you are going to put money into the hands of someone else (family or friends), consider it a donation or a gift - do not expect it back. You do not have to tell them it's a gift. Just avoid saying it's a loan or talking about repaying. If they choose to repay you, then accept it as graciously as you gave it, but if you never see it again, be glad and don't hold them to repaying it. Do it with a glad heart, it keeps the relationship from being ruined. Money shouldn't ruin families and friendships. (Never give more than you can live without.)
That's what I say as well. If your going to give it, don't ever expect it back. Just let it go or don't give it in the 1st place👍🏼

Can you offer damaged ones in one kit at a discount? That way you don't lose money and the person who buys it understands some may be 'off'.

I've been there and it sucks feeling that you've lost money too.
You know on the envelopes that come defective or trash you can sell those in a bundle so that you're not losing too much on your order of Envelopes! Errika, i can't wait for that challenge to come back in Stock...i have been wanting a set so badly!!! 😍🥰💚

If they come damaged,can you mix sets. Only get rid of damaged pieces and keep to make sets with good ones

I have a manufacturing background, it was medical devices. However, I can understand the manufacture in that in laser cutting technologies machines are hella volatile! So much factors go into it i.e., temperature, humidity.... also the actual material; if the envelopes are made in house and cut in house the level of thickness and the curing time are a factor as well. ❤ fun times from my old work: our laser cutter would crash and would halt our whole line lol

Amazing and so motivating. Yes, I too made mistakes loaning money. My new model is, when I loan money it has to be an amount I am willing to lose or give to them. Have you ever thought about investing into a 529 plan for your daughter?
You can sell the damage ones for a discount I believe many will buy them with them being damage if there not bad

Im with you. That’s sad it costed you a best friend. I can completely see that happening.
Charge interest if you lend people over 1000. Like 3 percent minimum. I have only done a few hundred dollars but not anymore. I let a student borrow $120 and that it. My other friend was mismanaging hers and going on trips so I asked for it back and quit. No more. I don't hear from her now. She also yelled at me for not responding fast to her request to borrow $500 to pay taxes. I told her I can't lend her money after she did that two years in a row in Jan after ghosting me all year. I have a channel too.
