Its from the late 60s, so anime.
.... is "supposed to be".... like it.
I guess (.the director apparently went off to Europe and did alooooot of drugs with the frech before all this)
I had to go research this now after seeing another flick the dude made in the 60s called manga....
Meaning
"Cartooning....comics, and very crude animations," like this one.
BUT....... right about the exact same time....late 60s.. another artist started making aninated cartoons .
His style..... birthed what we know as anime.
