If you are 'worth' Jesus dying for, then it isn't grace or love anymore and it's just a form of payment. You weren't worth dying for. That's the entire message of the gospel. smh Dan and Todd have twisted it up. It's God's love for us that he sent his son. It isn't because we were worth it. Very very different understanding and message.

As Christians, we often say that a price had to be paid for our redemption. Dan is saying that God saw what it would cost to reconcile us back to him (the death/resurrection of Jesus) and he deemed it worth it. Whenever you buy something you first have to decide that the item is worth the cost. God sees us as worthy of the coming and dying of his son. It's still grace because God didn't have to send his son, but he wanted to because he loves us.

yes, many had said to me that just because someone had a tragedy in the past, they justified to be mean, rude, bitter towards others, they always say "yeah, you need to understand, they went through lots, that's why they behave like that" I was like no, the tragedy that person had was not cus of others, they need the Lord to heal them and actually someone who had through lots if they have Jesus in them, they will turn to be more sympathy, more caring and more love. we cant justify our mean behaviors because of the past.
The problem is that in order to get this kind of life we have to first know God and how can we draw close to God? We try and try, but often don't find him in the way the bible describes. If we could find him like that, it would be easy to follow this message. If we can't we struggle on, in difficulty and suffering.
I can agree with most of what Dan is saying. However, when it comes to his view of the love of god or to be more specific, that god could not be mad at somebody, then I have to say that this point of view is madness. The bible clearly tells us in verses that god can hate and that he hates in fact certain people, not only the sin (Psalm 11,5 and Hosea 9,15 amongst others). Furthermore, the bible clearly tells us that god despises those who despise him (1. Samuel 2,30). When it comes to the verse in Corinthians where Paul writes that god was displeased with some, or maybe even most of the Israelites, whom is Paul talking about? He is talking about the Israelites who wandered in the desert for 40 years. So how did god deal with some whom he displeased? God actually killed manier of them. There have been numerous occasions. See for example the instance where the people of god complained. God answered by sending snakes so that many died. Or see how god treated those who revolted against him or even his servant Moses. He killed them off. So as you can clearly see, god was indeed displeased with them in the literal sense of the word. Now, when Paul writes this to the Corinthians, he actually warns the Corinthian believers which is a serious warning! Reducing it to god being sad that they lacked behind their potential may contain truth, but it isn't the whole truth. Also see how god treated the people in the days of Noah. Their behaviour and their thoughts have been all evil continiously. And god killed most of them but a few. If we cannot say "amen!" to this and of we cannot accept how god dealt woth those people, then we actually reject god and probably habe bartered for another god. We have to realize that god wants to be feared. What we do instead is to overemphasize and to major on love where in fact Jesus did not teach a single time about the love of god (or at most a single time when you want to claim than John 3,16 is Jesus speaking and not a comment of the writer John). We need a balance! The teachings these days are totally out of balance, lifting love up to a place where it is above everything else, even above god and then we force god into this box and then we wonder how people are confused, cannot accept the old testament, do not understand how god deals with people or even claim that the bible is inconsistent in itself.
That's under the old covenant. In the new testament we see that Jesus is the express image of the Father. Look to Jesus to see the heart of God the Father.
The healing God desires to do first and foremost is saving people from their sin so they do not Die in their Sin and perish eternally . I cant put a finger on it ,but something is not quite right about the last hour and 44 minutes I just watched . Just remember Jesus's Words when asked about the signs of His return , the first thing He said was , "Take heed that no one decieves you ." Be a Berean , and search the scriptures daily to find out whether these things are so .

How can Beloved Brother Paul teach two chapters on Spiritual gifts in Corinthians and not be on one accord with Jesus in John 14-17. The more truth you obey, the more peace you can enjoy.

There is no need for me to prove that God exists. There is enough natural evidence which manifests God’s existence. Whether one decides to believe and dies to one’s independence and autonomy or not is your personal prerogative my friend. We will never be able to find a boundless spiritual being using physically based tools.
