Green Hope in DRC

Between June 2022 and May 2024, Mercy Corps implemented the BHA funded program, “Providing Assistance for Communities in Eastern Congo (PACE)”, enabling crisis-affected communities to rebuild their livelihoods and improve their resilience to future shocks.  This program supported additional front-line emergency response work.
The initiative involved three rounds of cash delivery and the promotion of community recovery activities. We provided agricultural support and economic opportunities(through VSLAs) to households in eastern DRC to enable them to withstand future shocks.
This video, filmed in Mahagi, Ituri province, showcases the resilience of some of the participants who have changed their outlook on life thanks to this program.
