Hey. Nice one. I have made shave sticks out of many soaps. It is convinient and I mean for some reason I get a slicker lather this way. Have a good one
Great shave Ben. Funny how our noses work, I get zero cinnamon from Seaforth Spiced, smells like an orange creamsicle with some spice added too it. Have a great weekend.
That is flippin fascinating 🤨. Like seriously, I knew people’s noses vary but that’s surprising. I get such an intense cinnamon note from Spiced I figured everyone could pick it up. I suppose not… I mean at the end of the day, if you like it, then what does it matter, right?
@@soapthing this is very true! And yeah, I mean I may get a hint of cinnamon, but the first thing that hits my nose is orange creamsicle, like stumper strong vibes. Crazy eh?
These sticks have been on their website for a while, I think people just didn’t know they were there, but I do agree completely, where’s the logical conclusion?
Nice shave Ben! PAA continues to surprise me with how much stuff they offer because honestly I forgot they even carried shave sticks. Very neat. Ck6 is good stuff. Atomic age bay rum has been on my list for a while, ever since I got an aftershave sample. Like you said, it’s smoother and less in your face than other bay rums. It smells fantastic. Once I clear some stuff from the den I’ll probably get the set. Diver down sounds like a winner as well. Take care and stay safe!
Hola Ben, great work! Never have tried those shave sticks. I agree, they are a good way to try some scents from PAA in CK6 without going to deep in the pocket. I rather bowl lather it, btw!
CK6 in a tube sounds like a mess. CK1 would be just fine IMO. I’m not a fan of bay rum either but I have heard so many people praise the ones from PAA. I don’t like his classic homage soaps but have really enjoyed everything else. I appreciate you sharing your opinion on these. Have a good one!
@@soapthing I have a sample of the after shave and it has paired well with a few things. It's not my favorite but I don't dislike it. Boy, I really know how to commit lol.
Hi Ben. I'd like to hear your thoughts about the new PAA brush in terms of performance; was there enough backbone and so on. Those shave sticks seem like a good travel option!
Backbone is about average for a brush that size. Splays willingly enough. Apart from it being really tossable and easy to use in small containers or bowls, you probably won’t notice much difference between this and some of PAA’s 24mm brushes.
Nice shave Ben! Was thinking of getting the Shave Chaser one (that is my #1 scent from PAA). Wonder if you keep the cap off and let it dry out a bit if it wouldn’t be as soft🤔?
It’s hard to say. It probably would harden slightly on top, but certainly not very fast. And once you use it a couple times it will probably get really soft and malleable again. I think it’s okay the way it is, just be sure not to over use it.
All good points - been wanting to try the other two scents as well, so this might be a good gateway to getting them without finding space for another tub in the cabinet😅

I’d love to learn how to make my own shave stick, a project for another day when I have a lot of time on my hands again. Take care now!

Great shave. So many artisans so many soap, and now sticks too. When will it end?
When we’re all out of money? I share your sentiment 100%.

You should try the Lather Lid. That thing makes suds like nothing else I’ve ever seen 🫢, it’s crazy.

Yeah I think if I’m using CK6 I’d rather bowl lather it as well. The stick is just too soft. Was worth a try though.
nice shave and info, with that soup on your shirt ,you're shaving like don younger lol
Yeah I saw that. Not a great wardrobe choice on my part 😆. Thanks for watching!

Yeah CK6 is better off in the tub, it’s too soft for a stick. Have you tried Droid Black?

@@metsfan4life1986 Between the two, the Atomic Age Bay Rum was the biggest surprise, and in a good way.
Good morning Ben.
Get a haircut.
You get a haircut 😆, then we’ll talk. Thanks for watching!

Another top video, Ben. The only PAA brush I have is a Doppler - which I like a lot. Minimal backbone, but that’s fine by me… Cheers. 👍🪒
Thanks for watching man, I have this and the Green Ray. The Green Ray was gifted to me, it’s a decent enough brush.
