This watch reminds me of Middle School where all the cool kids wore G-shocks. I got one in 8th grade and after doing my own TylerTube tests such as throwing it in the pool, running it over with my bike, etc. it still runs to this day. That was 12 years ago
Had one in the army while I was in. Been through extreme cold (Alaska) and extreme heat (Death Valley Arizona, Afghanistan too) It’s still going strong and I have it to this day. I bought mine in 2010

i still wear mechanical watches, i mean i got a smartphone (just like every single person in 2024) so if i got to check the time i pull out my smart phone and it will show the time, weather, sunrise/ sunset, storm warnings, crime alerts and its all in one screen... that said i do wear wrist watch sometimes...
Many different cheaper watch brands have mass produced computers in them with customized cases. The screens may be different materials. They only have to be more indestructible than you while you're wearing them.
Never heard of chinese drop shipping, where they can slap whatever brand you want on the same product and that's what majority of garbage on Amazon is?
I know they likely already lit on fire by now, but for a lithium fire you’d want like, a metal bucket filled with sand to put electronics in when the batteries expand, they can burn for a while and burn extremely hot and can burn almost anything.

I've had my corbinox watch for about 3 years. I am a mechanic and a construction worker. My watch has been through hell and still looks and works great.
I've got 2 different versions with square faces... Mine have been pretty darn good overall... In the plumbing field, it gets wet, hit, etc. I think one is Podeil... I bought it as a semi disposable watch with low expectations (that's why i bought 2 versions from 2 companies)... I'm sure it's a win for some and total garbage to others, but i like mine so far...6 months or so in
Next time you should test some Casios. The f91w and 5610 would be a good duo to abuse. Ive been wearing my Japan imported 5000u to work every day and it looks brand aside from being dirty.
I actually have the exact same cheap watch. I'm abusive to watches and it has held up for over a year. There are a few little scratches you can see when the watch is asleep, but as soon as it lights up you can't even tell.
All you're testing with that razorblade is if it's glass or not. Even the most basic glass isn't going to scratch with that. If you got any scratching at all it's because you picked up a bit of grit with the blade.
My smartwatch retails for $1000 (I did not pay that) and its a god damn tank. Full metal body, sapphire glass, rated for 100m water proof depth etc. With those cheaper watches I'm curious how good the software is. That's where a huge chunk of the price tag for mine comes from.
I resisted smart watches for years. But i finally broke my dumb watch for the last time, i spent more money replacing components, and crystal front glass than the watch was originally worth. So i ended up just buying a galaxy watch 5 pro, the weight and size wouldn't work for everyone, but for me it does, and its not rectangular. Iike another brand, and thus far seems decently durable. Unbreakable? Yeah, nothing is Unbreakable. Especially if you give it to me to use on a daily basis. Lol. I would say it is durable though. Haha Edit: i did immediately order a metal band for it, the silicone one that came with it felt wrong to me

I daily use a drill to try to drill into my smart watches. These tests are obviously very accurate to normal wear and tear 😅😂

Mine was some off brand for 29.99, it does everything I need it to do, does it well, and it's pink.❤ And I'm calling that good enough.
Theory: cheap one is using a rubberized coating, expensive one is using automotive glass or something similar
