I think Audrey should do a straight-up Tom Scott video. "I'm standing in a field in the middle of nowhere, and the wind is blowing into my microphone." Then just start talking about something else. And just never bring up the resemblance (in appearance nor in video style).
This is like a simulation of normal guys hanging out and one of the guy's younger sister is also there, because their mom told them to include her, but she's actually chill.
100%. From the re-booted (if you can call it that - the gap between S14 and S15 was ~20 months), post-Adam and Jamie (Brian and Jon?) version though. They did a whole 20-minute segment on the proverbial "dutch oven" effect and whether it could cause an inadvertent (and dangerous) explosion - in it, they chemically analyzed their farts to see whose were more potentially-explosive. Ugh. They would absolutely have been all-in on baby-smells (good? bad? neutral? who knows?). Man...whoever thought the show could work without at least one of the OG hosts was clearly insane (and frankly, while Mythbusters Jr. was absolutely better than the post-Adam and Jamie regular Mythbusters, mostly BECAUSE Adam Savage is in it, acting as a kind of "crazy uncle who plays with C4 and teaches a 13-year-old to drive a car"* ...it still pales in comparison to the original). That show was freakin' lightning in a bottle, and most of why it worked was because of the hosts' infectious curiosity and commitment to the science. It felt authentic, whereas the reboot felt intensely like a cheap knock-off. *My own crazy uncle did not play with C4 (mostly because it's hard to acquire...he certainly played with OTHER, less exotic blasting materials), but he was in fact the first person to let me drive a vehicle - his 1980s Porsche 944 (with a manual transmission...I'm sure I did significant damage to his clutch over 3 or 4 sessions) - in a safe-ish environment obviously (a massive, empty parking lot). The driving lessons were a gift for my 13th birthday. So that's my own personal perspective of Adam Savage, in the context of Mythbusters Jr.
The green of your new dumpster set is the EXACT same shade of green as the benches in the UK houses of parliament, which says everything you need to know about the state of UK politics right now
Foamy the squirrel is from ill will press, loved those shorts back in the day lol I believe they're still around however the designs for everyone are dramatically different from 2006 era lol
I have limited internet availability but you guys have inspired me to make videos... Thank you for everything you guys do haha and I tim my hat to open source ideas between creators
We did fetal pigs in high school and think about it now, I suddenly remembered the trays they the had us use. It was like an aluminum tray with some sort of brown material inside. It was the consistency of like a non-sticky dark caramel the would allow for the pins to be pushed into bit rigid enough to hold. Very strange material.
How about you get a chemistry RUclipsr sometime ... Like NileRed for example would be a really good addition to this podcast... He also seems interesting
I don’t know if it’s just me or anyone else but seeing this episode kinda got me thinking that Tom Scott kinda looks like if AudreyEmber had an older brother
William, with regard to the AI that may help people integrate ideas, you may find a lot of relevant government-sponsored research with terms like "hypothesis generation" or "avoiding technology surprise."

Holy hell. I'm not the only one who remembers Knox's Korner (the little blue claymation guys). Weird as hell to hear someone reference Mr. Bill after all this time, too.
so in school i also dissected a worm. inside is a digestive system consisting of a crop and gizzard like a chicken. the reproductive system is the cuff on the outside. also interesting is that it has short bristly hairs that sort of act as feet or legs
There is a little bundle of nerve tissue in there near the mouth end. Not sure if it qualifies as a brain, but IIRC, in a 8 inch earthworm, it was less than a millimeter in diameter.
I think what this show needs is a mount that goes over each person's shoulders and holds the mic for them so they are free to move around and look like a freak robot cyborg
The lens of the eye is going to develop a cataract upon being touched, so you probably won't be able to to focus anything. The retina is just the reflective tissue in the back of the eye (i.e. red eye reflection in flash photography), so you wouldn't be able to use it to visualize anything from the remains of the animal.
I love how the crew all knows who Whistlin Diesel is because he's a famous RUclipsr now and they are all into RUclips as a concept. But yet I doubt most of the viewers of this podcast know who he is haha. I loved this segment though haha. Would love to see him on your show lololololol
Re. eyes-cataract surgery is just taking out the current lens and putting in a new one. It's also the most common surgical procedure worldwide. So there are a hell of a lot of humans wandering around with artificial lenses.
Honestly until you got to the part where you talked about it, I just assumed the title was literal, and she was actually tom Scott's sister
She even looks like she could be...
She even got the red shirt
same lmao
Same
She even got into the Wikipedia article about Tom Scott.
I think Audrey should do a straight-up Tom Scott video. "I'm standing in a field in the middle of nowhere, and the wind is blowing into my microphone." Then just start talking about something else.

maybe wear a red t-shirt or a gray hoodie
Impersonating someone for a living might not be the best idea... But for parody it will be good idea.
@@DanteEhome is it considered imperosonating when you look the same?
@@Ejpon Idk! But Nilegreen was on the show and they discussed about this topic, and Nigel seems to be ok with it in a way. It's not healty though.
@@DanteEhome Nilegreen was a full on inperonalisation (or however you spell it...) this would be just a parody. Huge difference.
At first I was thinking Audrey doesn't look anything like Tom Scott, then I saw the comparison at 17:19 and laughed my ass off.
Me too, it's actually fucking unbelievable how similar they look lmao
I've immediately seen the resemblance and got baited by the tittle 17:19 is when i realised she's not actually Tom's sister lol
Are you guys still feeding nigel? I just want to make sure he's got a solid diet down in the basement

No please no his voice is too cinematic for a dumpster fire.
Yeah, nilered is definitely too professional for this podcast. Nilered shorts on the other hand... 🤔
Not after what he did to those pelicans
@@jdrockable yea I think Nile red shorts is a better fit, or even god forbid Nile red tictok would be better.
17:30 not gonna lie, they had me in the first half.
Genuinely thought she is a Tom Scott's little sister.
this is like having nigel on the podcast
yeah imagine
hell no
she does kinda look like Nigel
Wdym he's right there
blasphemy
I think you should title episodes with Audrey the way you title episodes that feature Michael
Why lmao
I totally get your point but I am almost 100% sure they only used Michael's name in the title to pull in views

Imagine a family feud game show with Audrey and Tom on the same team 😂
"You smell like a lathe, girl!"
I love this, this is the best thing I heard today
I'm begging y'all, get a biologist on here one of these episodes, the worm discussion is causing me so much pain
"Fleshy new car" will live rent free in my head for a while
I don't know if I can handle many more episodes without Nigel. I crave his niche chemistry (pun intended) with the rest
He must've finally made the meth he always talks about making and is on the run

Making the audio track split when they start having different conversations is the best.
both as a running joke, but also practically; it's easier to hear something other than a jumbled mess when the audio is split.
Glad to hear someone else also dissected giant earthworms. The further I get from that experience, the easier it was to dismiss as a weird dream.
How do they roll around so quickly if they don't have little balls is such a funny line
