Personally I feel the decision for the top 2 seems to have been on the basis of the back pievce alone. Might as well have skipped the second piece altogether. Especially since , imo anyway, Cat's American traditional lion was much better within the style than the two photorealistic lions. James' ultimate win I get but Cat not being in the last two..I call BS on that one...Not that it matters much as no 2 and 3 are not really going to be remembered for their ranking but for their all around work. All in all..this was a very good season..no really bad tattoo artists in the bunch and several really good, James especially stood out the entire season. Personally I also really enjoyed they weren't playing the silly psych games but seemed to generally be more supportive and appreciative of eachother as artists
I loved this season! James is just amazing. Also loved Cat, she's an incredible artist and just needs a couple of years more of experience to be an Ink Master herself. Finally, I want to say that these No More Ink episodes are waaay more interesting when the guests know what they are talking about instead of being just some celebrity clients, so please, no more RUclipsrs, more Tattooers. Also, make some more special episodes with the producers and the work behind cameras, that's also really interesting stuff.
Cats 24 hour tattoo was better than Anthony's crane. What was with that background? Also Cats lion was better than both those other lions. She was robbed.
having an even number of judges is not cool. From what I see, the winner is chosen from the start, unless they screw up so bad there is no choice but to lose them.
The favoritism with Anthony is obvious and painful, Cat's tattoos were much better, Anthony's lion is horrible and Cat's back tattoo is sublime. I saw this season very partial, how sad, the final should have been Cat, James and Pony
what the hell you are talking about. just see the bottom hand in cats, the hand is overlapping with the skull in a ugly way and how did you forgot about that lion. so simple and not clean.
James was clearly the winner, but the second one was cat, the lower hand has no problem, it is an impressive piece, the illustration is the most complex and with more work behind it on the skin, and between lion and lion, I still choose Cat's, Anthony's has serious essential problems of perspective, contrast and composition@@Surush-x2k
The thigh tattoos did seem pointless, especially since it was in the weak styles in the finale, people talking about Cat's tattoo forget how small her lion was and that she had 12 hours to do it, I personally think if they wanted to do 2 master canvases it should've been open style or at least neutral style in the finale. Nobody wants to see a bad tattoo from a good artist in the last episode just because it's their first/second/third time tattooing a style.
That excuse doesn't fly...James like he said it so many times has been tattooing for 26 years. Over and over again...26 years,26 years...here with my son, here with my son,...bla bla bla. In those 26 years he should've been tattooing all styles. Sure Cat's tattoo could've been bigger but I think it was a good head size for thigh. Then you don't know how your canvas will sit...James is proof that going bigger doesn't mean it's better. HIs backpiece snakes were horrible. The one in hand is the only one that has that bump behind her head. James is way overrated. Had some cool tattoos for sure but he doesn't deserve the win. Either Cat with her 2 meh tattoos or Anthony with his great backpiece but he messed up on lion so out of the 3 Cat should've won. But final 3 should've been Cat,Steph and Pony. But but Pony should've went home early same as james, Anthony too with his lettering tattoo...and then you would've had different season. It was the worst out of 3...why are you sugar coating it. James and Anthony messed up on thigh tattoo's hence neither should've won. Task was backpiece and leg tattoo. But judges then just acted like there's only backpiece to judge a winner on.
I am so thrilled to see James take the win. This was his competition to win since the first episode. His art and application are just on another level. I was so disappointed to see an in-studio finale. If the show is back, bring it back, and lets have live finales in Las Vegas like they used to with a huge live crowd and a big production. The show and the fans deserve it.
Considering the show is braodcast all over the world and the vast majority of viewers couldn't make it to a live finale anyway..I doubt many of the fans care. I know I don't.
Whole season was talk father versus son...so of course they had to have final 2 father versus son. Another wrong "winner" of the season. And the funniest thing is that they both f?cked up on lions and then judges just brushed that off like it's no big deal and only focused on back pieces.
woohh James deserved it!!! It's like Inkmaster pays tribute to the OG James. James showed from start to finish what truly a grand winner is. There's no "lucky/unlucky" for him, he basically just knows how to do everything! This season is really amazing!
